It's been windy and raining here all day. We just finished dinner when we heard a loud crack and realized our neighbors tree had come crashing down into the road blocking both lanes of traffic!

The tree had damage inside possibly from carpenter ants!
About an hour later, the city showed up to clean it up as neighbors watched.
There was a TV news camera crew here too so it might make tonight's news.

Yes, my mother has been driving through all of that today on her way up here! She said a truck got blown over on the Thruway. Your photo reminds me of when a hurricane came through Raleigh, NC in 1998 when we lived there- all that water & rain, most of the old historical trees blew over: 2 trees on our property, etc.
