Healthy Progress - January
Our grocery shopping has changed. We aren't totally crunchy, but we are buying mainly fresh/frozen fruits and veggies and then fish or chicken. We choose organic and free range items which are more expensive, but we have cut out many of the junk convience products so our bill is actually less! I went to Weight Watchers today and this week I lost 3.5 lbs - Woo Hoo! That brings me to a 9 lb weight loss for the 3 weeks of January that I have been on the program! Here is a list of health food stores by state, provience or other country.

9 pounds in three weeks--Good for you! You should be very proud.
Hmmm... you guys have lost a lot so far this year. Teeth, tonsils, adnoids (sp?), pounds, and junk food. LOL

Good for you! We try to do as much organic as possible too. I'm going to check out the adoption link you posted- I've always been interested in adoption but God would need to put it in my husband's heart if it's something He wants for us.
Bless you,
Rebeca

Thank you for your comment and checking in on me. It's a learning experience...
That is great news in your post. Great that you cut out the convenience foods, yes they are expensive, too and loaded with those preservatives.
I haven't been eating that healthy lately so your post is an inspiration!

We choose Organic whenever we can, too. Back in my home town, we had a farmer that grew and sold all Organic, and eact tax season we would pay an amount upfront so he could buy seeds etc. When we visited the farm each weekend, he simply deducted the amount. I really miss the whole experience a lot.
Glad to hear your daughter is better. I am sure it was worth it ... or will be in the long run.

p.s. yes, here in Ontario, we call powdered sugar icing sugar ( it was NOT the tea sweetener I was needing! )
