Unfortunately they are not the helpful type that sew clothes etc.. as in Cinderella! I might be ok with some like that. Last night Zac and I were sitting in the living room and all of a sudden we hear little scurring above our heads! The mice are in the floor between the upstairs and downstairs. We think they might be in other places. Zac found some droppings under the sofa..eww! I found shredded tisues in the corner of the upstairs laundry room. My first thought was to get a cat, but Zac is allergic. Instead we will be investing in some mouse traps. I just cringe at thinking that I may find decapitated mouse some morning.
Anyway~ I mentioned the mice to the kids today as I was cleaning and they became "mice detectives" and started with a song and building traps. Daphne made a trap with some purple sparkle dress up beads. She told me the mice would love purple and sparkles. Ryan took some of his sugar daddy chapstick and smeared it on some paper as a bait to the trap he and Jake were building. The kids were all excited and busy so I just let them go with it.
