Feb. 5, 2008 - Crockpot ideas?
My one big splurge this year before returning to Pakistan was buying a crockpot to bring back with me. (Okay, so my REALLY big splurge will be buying an AC for our bedroom so we can actually sleep this summer)
However, I forgot one small, crucial thing-recipes for the crockpot! Does anybody know any good websites? Or maybe feel lead to email me a few?

Hello,
good to see you blog again. I sure like to visit your blog and see whats going on in that part of the world. I just bought I crockpot myself because I don't want to take a break to cook and eat a warm lunch, we never get back to the school work. We are usually on the go in the afternoons - evenings so I really don't have time to cook when we come home, that is why we eat our regular meal for lunch. Anyway, since I have the crockpot we eat much more regular and it is fun. I have not been very successful with cooking rice along with the rest, it gets mushy same with noodles. I like to cook everything in the pot, real time saver. Anyway, I send you some recipes and if you don't like them you have at least the website..... ;-)

I just posted a comment above about Family and Ministry and then saw this post about crockpots. I love my crockpot! When I am looking for a recipe I just google a few ingrdients and "slow cooker" or "crock pot" and see what pops up. One of my favorite recipes is to put a pork (or beef) roast in with some garlic onions carrots and potatoes and a little water. Let it cook all day and dinner is delcious. You can shred the leftover meat (I usually do 2 roasts) and put barbeque sauce on it and let it simmer...very yummy on rolls or buns.
