Ramblings from a mom, missionary, homeschooler,.........

May. 5, 2008 - Home again

I realize that I haven't been on much lately.  Life has a way of moving too quickly and before you realize it, much changes.  I also find it hard to write when things may not be going so well, as I tend to want to emphasize the postive, not the negative.

As I write this, I am sitting in my mom's house in Florida, trying to get over some major jet lag.  The kids and I left Pakistan Friday night.  I have no idea when Mike will join us.  He has to clear out the apartment and sell our car before he returns.

These past few months have been extremely difficult and stressful on us.  We realized how much they were affecting us, and that caused us to make the decision to return home.  We have no idea when, if ever, we will return.  At this point we have no plans.  It was simply a matter of leaving before permanent damage was done to our relationships.  I suppose we do have one plan , and that is for both of us to get some counseling, both together and apart.  It is a very difficult and painful place to be in.  It is also quite scary as we have no idea of what the future holds, or how long until we can make a plan to move forward with our lives and find the next step.

I am glad you and the kids are home safely. I will pray for Mike's safe return, as well as for guidance and encouragement and wisdom for the next step for y'all.

Wow...what a whirlwind you have been through...I am praying for you and your kiddos, and your transition back to the states...and for God to show you the next steps to take. Tonight I especially pray for your peace and that you feel your Heavenly Father's arms surround you and hold you close.

I'll continue to lift your family in prayer. May God restore the year the locust have eaten. May his will be clear to both of you as you plan your future.

May. 22, 2008 - Missionary Mom Feels your pain

Posted by Anonymous

Hi there!

Never done this before. Was searching for guest houses and this popped up! Just wanted to encourage you as a fellow missionary who has had to leave the field and take time to heal and mend relationships as well. It is hard work, but God is faithful and will restore to you joy and peace as you go through a very painful process of open communication and honesty. Would love to talk with you further if you're open to it. Will take the risk and post my email address here as I'm not very good at the whole blog thing - homeschooling four of my seven kids with two preschoolers! Write if you'd like to: cb700@earthlink.net
Praying for you! Connie

I was browsing blogs and came across yours. I too live in Florida and will be praying for you.
Eph 6:10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.
Eph 6:11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
Eph 6:12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age,[fn3] against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.

Don't know where in Fl you are but my hubby is a Pastor and can possibly counsel the two of you together. All counseling will be 100% from the bible. Our website is www.calvarysouthtampa.org
