Well it's been a busy day.  I feel just like old Hoke in driving Ms. Daisy.  Today I took Ms. Dixie out for her final round of Christmas shopping.  It’s good to be back home!  Hopefully, this will be the last round, but, some emergency may come up and off to the store I’ll have to go.  The traffic this afternoon was awful!  Too many people out looking for too much stuff!! I wish our traffic cameras were on-line so we could see the mess out there.

I was thinking this week that a good book for teaching history just in case you didn’t know about it is “The Light and the Glory” Also known as: The Light and the Glory: Children's Activity Book

Authors: Peter Marshall, David Manuel is a wonderful book about the history of the United States. From Sea to Shining Sea is the sequel and is also wonderful. Here is a review from Amazon.com “Editorial Reviews”
