Four in the Quiver

• Feb. 7, 2007 - A trip to Oklahoma City

We've just spent the weekend in OKC.  We had a board meeting for Eleos Foundation Intl.  (a charity organization forming to help needy and orphans in Rwanda, Africa www.eleosonline.com )  It was a quick trip and it went well.  It was very cold because another cold front with snow had blown through just before we got there.  The boys were able to throw snowballs out of the hidden pockets of snow that were in the shadows of the buildings.   It was a fun trip.  We got to spend the night with Max's sister in Dallas where it was also cold.

This weekend, Max is performing a wedding for some sweet friends of ours, John and Cindy.  We've known her for a long time and it's so sweet that she's asked Max to do the wedding for them.  It's going to be lots of fun.

Still LOVING Sonlight curriculum and met a new friend in town that was a representative for them.  We're having fun sharing with each other about it.  Her children are older than mine, so she's been there, done that.

I've been thinking about how beautiful England and Scotland are right now with all the tulips and bulbs blooming.  Never seen so many tulips in one place before.  So pretty...really miss it.  Especially the weather.  I love the colder weather there.  Wonder how I ever ended up in the South.  I must have gotten my dad's Rhode Island blood instead of my mom's Texas blood.

Let me know what's going on your way.

Love to all................Nancy

Yes, England is verrry cold at the moment. Some parts have had snow in the last 24 hours. We had some but it melted quite quickly. We went for a walk at the weekend and saw that the 'snowdrops' are starting to bloom. I can't wait for the Spring and the Summer. I don't like the winter weather! My SA blood does not enjoy it. It was so nice to see Deedees photos of their trip with you guys.

Good to see you blogging! Tried to call you tonight but couldn't get through. I'll try again soon. Glad the trip went well. You certainly wouldn't be enjoying any flowers here right now!! They all keeled over when the snow and cold snap came in! Poor things didn't know what hit - they thought it was spring! Missing you guys too, but thanking the Lord for giving you a new friend this week! Come read my blog to hear about my 'exciting' week! Love ya' !
