My First Day Flying Solo

Posted in In My Home Today

This morning we said "Goodbye" to my dear mother as she began the 13-hour trip back home to Virginia!  She was such a blessing to our family during these last two weeks!  She came a week before the baby was born, learned our family homeschooling and homekeeping routine, then executed it the week after the baby was born so effortlessly that I had to wonder if she didn't miss her calling!  She sacrificially and lovingly served every member of the family in word, deed, and prayer!

Her smiling face and teasing ways will be missed today as I take on the full responsibility of mothering, schooling, and homemaking with seven.  I must admit that this morning as she backed out of our driveway, I had to fight an overwhelming urge to run after her, throw myself at her mercy, and beg her melodramatically to take me with her!  But I know that even though she'll be 13 hours away, her prayers and loving example will be here in our home and in our hearts!  Blessings to you, Ma!  We love you and miss ya like crazy!

In His Love,

Tammy

What a sweet mom! God's strength be with you today as you fly solo with seven. How wonderfully blessed you are :)

Fully Committed

Verse
All that I am and all that I hope to be
All of my desires and all of my abilities
I'm fully committed to Your will and to Your way
I'll make the sacrifice to do what You ask of me
My love's forever, Jesus You're all that I need
And I could never repay what You did just for me
But the least I can do…

Chorus
I give my life, fully committed to You (x2)

Verse
Every passing minute, every hour of the day
In every situation, every bit of attention I pay
I'm fully committed to Your will to Your way
I'll make the sacrifice to do what You ask of me
My love's forever, Jesus You're all that I need
And I could never repay what You did just for me
But the least I can do…
