Menu Plan Monday

Posted in Menu Plan Monday

This week's menu will be a slight variation from the norm.  I'm experimenting with the idea of having a list of possible meals to choose from instead of assigning each meal to a particular day.  I hope that it'll give us more flexibility when it comes to meal planning and grocery shopping.

So, this week's meal selections are:

1.  Sloppy Joes, French Fries, Baked Beans

2.  Black Bean Burritos, Spanish Rice

3.  Cream of Potato Soup, Homemade Bread, Tossed Salad

4.  Baked Chicken, Vegetables, Rice

5.  French Toast Sticks, Bacon, Fried Apples

6.  Slow Cooker Taco Soup

7.  Baked Potato Bar, Tossed Salad, Breadsticks

8.  Cheeseburgers, French Fries, Baked Beans

9.  Enchilada Casserole, Black Beans and Onions

10.  Slow Cooker Lasagna, Corn, Cinnamon Breadsticks

Menu Plan Monday

Posted in Menu Plan Monday

I've been working on my menu plans for about two months now.  My goal is to get about eight weeks worth of weekly plans plus the master grocery list for each one so that we can rotate them every couple of months.  So far I've been able to come up with four plans that work for my family, meaning that the meals are generally appetizing to a majority of our family members and the grocery list does not exceed our budget for the week.

This week's menu plan is:

  • Sunday:  Chili, Spanish Rice, Amish Wheat Bread
  • Monday:  Terry's Corn and Black Bean Quesadillas, Traci's Carot Souffle, Grandma's GingerBread
  • Tuesday:  Meatball Subs, French Fries, Fresh Vegetables and Dip
  • Wednesday:  Taco Salad, Milkshakes
  • Thursday:  Chicken and Broccoli Fettucine Alfredo, Bread Sticks, Creamy Apple Salad
  • Friday:  Herb Roasted Chicken and Vegetables, Pumpkin Swirl Bread, Pudding
  • Saturday:  Bacon and Onion Biscuits, Fried Apples, Daddy's Omelets

Menu Plan Monday

Posted in Menu Plan Monday

I decided that in order to achieve some level of accountability in my homemaking endeavors, I will begin to post our weekly menu plans every Monday! (Yikes!)  I desperately need some consistency in this area, so I'm hoping that you ladies can help me! :)  So, if you visit my site on a Monday, and there is no new menu posted, please leave me a comment that says, "Hey, Tammy!  Where's the Menu?"  My husband will thank you!  :)

First, I've come up with a general menu plan that consists of certain types of meals for each night.

Sunday:  Slow-Cooker Sunday (This is so that I can have lunch & dinner ready when we come home from church.)

Monday:  Meatless Monday (In order to save a little dough, we're experimenting with meals that require no meat, such as vegetarian dishes, salads, etc.)

Tuesday:  Soup and/or Sandwich Night (This is usually a busy evening for me because my Ladies' Bible Study and my Homeschool Group meet on Tuesday nights.  So I try to pick something that is quick and easy so that I can get out of the door quickly.)

Wednesday:  Mexican Night (Chili, Burritos, Fajitas, Nachos, etc.)

Thursday:  Italian Night (Any kind of Pasta and Sauce)

Friday:  Chicken Night (Baked, Fried, Casseroles, etc)

Saturday:  Breakfast for Dinner (Since our mornings are usually rushed so that we can get to the business of the day, I decided to make a big family breakfast for Saturday night dinner!  We do everything from homemade waffles or pancakes, muffins, scrambled eggs, bacon, breakfast casseroles, etc.!  Yumm-O!)

So. . .  Here's this week's menu:

Sunday:  Slow Cooker Taco Soup

Monday:  Baked Potato Bar, Tossed Salad, Homemade Bread

Tuesday:  Cheeseburgers, French Fries, Baked Beans

Wednesday:  Enchilada Casserole, Black Beans & Onions

Thursday:  Slow Cooker Lasagna, Corn, Homemade Bread Sticks

Friday:  Corn and Salsa Chicken Packets, Spanish Rice

Saturday:  Scrambled Eggs, Fresh Fruit, Homemade Cinnamon Rolls, Fried Potatoes & Onions

If you're interested in any recipes, leave a comment specifying which one!  God Bless!

In His Love,

Tammy

Kingdom
Fully Committed

Verse
All that I am and all that I hope to be
All of my desires and all of my abilities
I'm fully committed to Your will and to Your way
I'll make the sacrifice to do what You ask of me
My love's forever, Jesus You're all that I need
And I could never repay what You did just for me
But the least I can do…

Chorus
I give my life, fully committed to You (x2)

Verse
Every passing minute, every hour of the day
In every situation, every bit of attention I pay
I'm fully committed to Your will to Your way
I'll make the sacrifice to do what You ask of me
My love's forever, Jesus You're all that I need
And I could never repay what You did just for me
But the least I can do…

Bridge
Fully committed (x2)

Yes
Yes
Yes, Yes

Sold out
Gonna hold out
Sold out
Sold out
Repeat

Ending
I give my life, fully committed to You (x4)
