As some of you may know, we are doing Apologia Zoology 1: Flying Creatures this year for science. We also participate in a co op for this class. This week we did a bird feeder project. I wanted to share the pics with you all.
Applying Peanut butter to pine cones:

These are adorable, Chasity! And the kids are cute, too, LOL. We used to make these back in Michigan; the kids had a ball. Hope yours enjoyed making them too!

We did something like that before. It is a fun project for the kids. I haven't decided where to hang the birdfeeders this year. We're in a new to us house and we have to wait until the bears go into hibernation.

We really enjoyed Zoology 1 last year. My dad made wooden birdhouses with the kids at the end of the year. It was so special because he has cancer and they will be a really wonderful thing to have one day as a keepsake. While we were in Brasil for over 3 years they didn't get to see my parents, so it was a great bonding time. Have fun with your study this year. The kids really had enjoyed the study and we became birders!
