It has been a while since I posted...........

We have been busy and sick as well. The week of June 15th was our church's VBS. It went fairly well, however my family was very sick that week. We has a summer cold/flu. Lots of fevers, chills, coughing, etc. I am proud to report we are much better.

On June 21st my oldest turned 9.....

The cake was beautifully made by my sister. On this day, our family drove about 4 hours to see us and celebrate this pretty girl's 9th b day.

Part of our art this school year is going to be cake decorating. I bought the Wilton class book and kit to teach her at home. (and no, I do not know how to decorate cakes....we are going to learn together.)

Also hubby and I went to our state homeschool conference this past weekend. We had a great time together. His birthday was last week and our 15 year anniversary is this Thursday. We left the kiddos with his parents. We had a great time getting encouraged at the conference (and looking at all that curriculum). Also had a special dinner at the Cheesecake Factory, yummy!!

What a beautiful cake! And a wonderful first star attempt...better than mine! I still struggle with them.
Glad you are all feeling better. We had that cold/flu stuff too. It was not too kind!
