We are blessed by adoption

As I was trying to find Psalm 107 this morning, I saw again a verse that just speaks to my mama heart --

 

He settles the barren woman

in her home as a

happy mother of children.

Praise the LORD.

Psalm 113:9 NIV

 

Whenver I read that verse, I always know that adopting our two boys was the way in which God intended our family to grow. I simply can't imagine my life without them. I am very blessed to have been raised by my father and step-mother -- "mom".  My mom didn't have to raise me, nor love me, but she did. In essence she "adopted" me without ever going through the legal system. I believe that because of my mom, God prepared me to be the barren woman who is a happy mother of children.

 

Yes, PRAISE THE LORD.

I am the custodial stepmom of two amazing children and discovered after I gained them that I was infertile. My love for them made me realize that genetics did not a mother bond make.

After 3 losses we turned to adoption. God blessed us with this alternative. As soon as we signed the papers I found out I was pregnant again. I was so fearful and sad.
We as humans lack 'patience'. We had to remember that before our feet hit the ground he had a plan for us. He already had our families created and the families we'd create. You had an unbelievable amount of faith and patience!
Love your kids for they were created for YOU to love and raise in our Lord's image.
You are very strong hearted mama!
