So, waiting until the last day again to post my assignment, and trust me, I'm still not prepared. Ooops, gotta take out dinner....what a combo tonight ~ two pieces of fish and a bag of I think chili - not sure on that chili, but it's for me anyway.
Let's talk about COOKIES COOKIES and more COOKIES!!!!
What are my favorite cookies -- besides all of them? Um, I'd have to say Holiday Cookies and Gingerbread Boys. You'll definitely need to skip over to Inspired to pick up the recipe. Why do I like it you wonder? It's because she basically converted my Aunt Pat's Sugar Cookie recipe to whole wheat and I didn't even have to ask. Gotta love that. And I had a really good time that Saturday morning with friends making these cookies. 
I remember being a little kid and always looking forward to my Mom and I making Christmas cookies using Aunt Pat's recipe. We'd decorate them with sprinkles and she'd make icing - of course in red and green colors. It was just a good time back then.
This year my inlaws are having a Christmas "drop in" the Saturday before Christmas. So that means that we'll be home all day for Christmas without any company. I don't think that has happened in -- well it may never have happened before. So this weekend I was talking with Martin about the whole family making some goodies and taking them to our two fire stations in town, maybe the police stations the day before and maybe we can find a paramedic substation too. The boys love going to the fire, police and paramedic stations and it would be a good "service opportunity" for them.
That's all I have to share for this week. I wonder what Tamara will have for our next assignment?
