As a way to document how much I'm spending at Walmart and other stores for groceries and other non-food items, I'm putting it here so that I can easily find it. Before going to Walmart on Saturday night, I made a list of items needed and I withdrew cash from the ATM. It was definitely strange to me to pay in cash, but in the end it felt good. While discussing with Martin the amount spent and what items were purchased, he wondered if I would be able to find better quality produce for a better price. Right now I'm waiting for our produce co-op this month. With the holidays and my trip, I'm a tad on when we are going to the Farmer's Market for shopping. My only answer to my husband about the produce was, grow it ourselves or purchase it from someone that does grow it locally. Right now I think California might be the only place growing bananas and oranges.
