Caleb's Blueberry Sal Lapbook

Posted in Lapbooking
Okay, so you are probably what in the world a "Lapbook" is, right? It's a file folder that you can use to help your child remember what they've learned from a story, or anything really. I've known some adults that have done lapbooks. So here are some pictures of our Blueberry Sal lapbook we did during the 2006-2007 school year. Caleb was in kindergarten and was almost 5 years old. Did I mention he LOVES to finger paint? LOL

Joshua's Blueberry Sal Lapbook

Posted in Lapbooking
And here are some pictures of Joshua's Blueberry Sal Lapbook. By the way, I forgot to mention that this is a resource we purchased from Hands Of A Child. They are a GREAT company. Their specialty is lapbooks from pre-k up to high grade levels. And their customer service is AWESOME. Thank you Niki, Kimm and Katie for such an awesome company and easy to use products!!!! Even though Joshua enjoys playing in the dirt, I don't know that he enjoys finger painting. Here are pictures of his lapbook.

Dinosaur Notebook/Lapbook

Posted in Lapbooking
Last summer Caleb really wanted to learn more about dinosaurs. Because I admittedly am CLUELESS about dinosaurs, I excitedly passed that teaching assignment on to Martin. He was more than happy to share his interest in dinosaurs with the boys. We really did have a great time, all of us, learning more about dinos. How big most of them were compared to us. Our library now boasts quite a few dinosaur related books. Caleb and Joshua still enjoy learning about dinos and reading about them. Caleb was just a few months from being 5 years old and Joshua was about 5.5 years. Most of the learning material is from the Learning Page website. They have a ton of material. You have to sign up to be a member, but it's FREE. Can't be that, can ya?!!! What you see in the pictures I put together. They really aren't lapbooks but also not really notebooks. I used 3-prong folders and page protectors to include some of the material we covered. Some of the better pictures from our learning time were printed and put on white cardstock and included.

About Me

Isaiah 55:8-9 (King James Version) 8 ~ For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. 9 ~ For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.

Psalms 84:11 ~ For the Lord God is a sun and shield; the Lord will give grace and glory. No good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.
