Mitchell's Cavern Part Ichi / Work
Ichi- 'One' in Japanese
Mackenzie, her dad, and I went to Mitchell's Cavern in California on Friday the 5th. We had a great time and took lots of pictures. Because we took so many pictures I am splitting the "Mitchell's Cavern post" into two parts. Today is Part 1 and on Thursday will be Part 2. We also went to a place called "Hole in the Wall" which is a place that holds up to it's name. There are tons of hiking trails at Hole in the Wall and so we did hiking, some rock climbing, and some dangerous stuff ;)
These pictures are JUST Mitchell's Cavern. Hole in the Wall pictures will be on Thursday's post. Or Fridays, depending on when I am able to get online. So here are som mitchell's Cavern pictures
The Valley around Micthell's Cavern
A Joshua Tree

Mountain Lion Sign. Isn't it comforting?? :D And we had to HIKE to the Cave.. Right through the middle of Mountain Lion territory.
My favorite sign :D
More animal signs :D
The mouth of the Cave. You have to go the hole on the right to get inside the cave.
Stalactites and Stalagmites connecting
Cave Mushrooms :)

Looking up into the Stalactites. Oh the sheer horror :P
Some pretty lighting on the cave walls
Cave Shield or "Cave Frisbee"

Who dare's enter the corridor of death?! Muahahaha. Ok yeah so a little cave hiding place.
Ohhh I wonder what is back here????
So most of you I have told that last Saturday I had a job interview at the Gap clothing store and well they hired me right on the spot!!!!! Yesterday was my first day of work. It was the training orientation and there was me,courtney (18 years old), Justin (17 years old) ,and Joyce( 60+ years old). So there was quite a variety of people being hired. One guy didn't show up so his loss. Anyway, I was there for four hours and we did get paid for that so I will get my first paycheck next Thursday. Pretty cool huh? I work again on Friday from 4-8 pm and then I will receive my OFFICIAL work schedule. I can't work more than 5 hours a day so no problem. I will probably work all next week except for Thursday and Sunday. Those are my days off. So yeah I am very excited to finally have a job! :)
That's it for today! Stay tuned on Thursday or Friday for Part 2 of the Mitchell's Cavern saga! :D
-Julia
BTW, I am trying to get caught up on comments so bear with me and leave more ;D And thanks Mucho to Jocelyn for helping me with the pictures! :D
I have 31 blossoms! Thank you!

Hey!
I've gotten people mad, or at least very annoyed, at me before. I really, really try not to..... but it's still happened. But hey, that's part of being a Christian, right? Add individual opinions to that, and you're bound to have someone disagreeing with you!
Glad that you got the job!! I would work in a store like Gap once I got my driver's license. Getting a job is definitely a part of my plans. So is babysitting.

Oh goodness. I just looked at the list of your fave books on your sidebar..... I want to read all of those!! Wow!
And you're writing books? Cool! I've written a few little stories.... not worth much of anything, but it gave me practice. And I'm writing a Phantom of the Opera-esque story. It's set in the Opera House in Paris, in the same time period, but everything else is a lot different. Plus, I'm doing Learn to Write the Novel Way in school, which is very helpful.

Wow!!! Mitchell's cavern looks like a really neat place to go see. If I'm ever in that direction, I'll make sure to stop and have a look around. : )
Congrats on getting the job! They're not going to be sorry they hired you! : D
Ha! I didn't think Jolie would ever get the point when we would bop her but she did. Yay!!!! : D
Me ride side saddle!?! Ha!!! That's a good one!!! Just kidding! : D I can barely ride astride. I think that's what you call it. : ) Wow! You ride side saddle? That's so cool!
Wow! That's a lot of animal related injurys! : D Let's see, I've been biten by my bird, my dog (once), a goat, and I've been biten by a bunch of babies. (grin) And yes, like you, I've been peed on, pooped on, thrown up on, and burped on. : D Of course, when you have a bunch of nieces and nephews, it's gonna happen. : D
I know they're harmless but I think it's more along the line that it's a snake. : ) I wish I'd of had a brother closer to my age. Well, I do have a brother but he's like 10 years older than me and when he moved out of the house I was like 7 or 8. Back to where I was goning with this, if I had a brother closer to my age then he would like that type of stuff and I would of liked it, too. : D Yes, Sarah told me all about your zoo! I can't wait to visit it! I know it's going to be great! Maybe I should tone down my excitement a bit untill you open up the zoo. : D Are you going to have white tigers and Elephants? "cuz I went to a zoo already and they did not have them!!! Oh, and they didn't have crocs! Can you believe that!!! They did have a room full of different kinds of snakes. My favorite animal. (grin) They had at least 35 to 40 different kinds. It was a bit scary. Being in there with all them snakes. : D
Well, I'll let you go. Have a wonderfully blessed day!
lots of hugs,
Jordan Lee

Thanks for the happy birthday wish! :-)
That looks like a neat place! I've never heard of it. At some of the places my dad and I go hiking at there are mountain lion signs posted. Thankfully we've never seen one, but it IS a little creepy, especially when the hills are all brown and dry and no one else is around. They could be lurking anywhere!
Talk to you later!

Weel, if you insist, I guess I'll show u how it's done. But remember, I'm a cajun. I don't wrangle crocs. I only do alligators. ^_^ lol
I wish my dreams wer like that. Well, it would be cool if I really did dream. 0_0 Are you talking about sleeping dreams or daydreams? Because I daydream ALL the time. but not sleeping dreams.
>_<
I'm sure you were hoping you would see a mountian lion, or snake, weren't you?!? Then you would of had to wrastle with it, and save the whole group from certain DEATH!!! sorry.
I'm so gald you got the job! I'm so proud of you. *sniff, sniff* So what are your duties to be at this wonderful story?
Well, I must go. :-( Lots of comments to answer.

Hey Julia!
Awesome pictures!! Look like you had an enjoyable time :-)
I really like how the pictures are small and you can click on the ones you want to see in a larger size. How exactly do you do that? (If you don't because Jocelyn helped you, I understand-lol ;-)
That's cool you've thought about BJU as an option for college. It really is a great place. What grade are you in by the way?
Have a lovely week!

Yes I live in TN. I does get very pretty here around fall time. Not as much this year though. We've had a pretty bad drought and so most trees dropped there leaves early and the leaves just kinda...died. :)
