I don't - I do

Posted on Oct. 3, 2008 at 11:15 AM in My Life

Let's make a few things clear about me because I don't like being called crazy ;)

I don't like drama
I don't like people who create drama
I don't like people who call themselves American's but don't support our country's decisions
I don't support abortion
I don't support child neglect (who does?)
I don't support hunting (get it through your head)
I don't support/agree with TAXIDERMY
I don't support wearing of leather, fur, or a dead animal around someone's neck
I don't support the  use of dead animal's as rugs!
I don't support the eating of non-farm raised animals (goes back to hunting)
I don't support Veganism
I don't support a roadside circus, they abuse their animals
I don't support keeping an exotic animal as a pet
I don't support cosmetic's tested on animals, neither do I where/use them (shampoo, makeup etc...)
I don't support whaling, or seal hunting
I don't support puppy mills

~
I do support our President (no matter who they are because we are suppose to support/respect authority)
I do support adoption
I do support the KJV
I do support a college education
I do support alternative testing
I do support zoo's, if they animals are proven to be well taken care of and are happy.
I do support no-kill animal shelters
I do support the ASPCA
I do support Organic living
I do support spaying and neutering of shelter pets
I do support animal conservation
I do support world conservation

There is alot I don't support and although I don't have as much 'I do's" I basically support the anti of everything I don't support, does that make sense?

Julia

Very interesting list. :) You know God gave Adam animals to care for in the garden and to eat the vegetables and herbs, but when the flood came and Noah and his family got off God send "Every moving thing that liveth shall be meat for you; even as the green herb have I given you all things." (Genesis 9:3). While I don't agree for killing just for fun I don't think it's wrong to hunt and is in fact Biblical. God gave man dominion over all the earth, not to harm it, but to care so I know where you get this instinct, but I think there are limits. :)

I don't think the Bible says we're suppose to support leaders in the way you say - I know we are support to pray for them, though. I mean if Barack becomes president and goes haywire about abortion we CANNOT support him. We can't support our leaders if they aren't doing what is right - same with Jezebel and Ahab.

You know my thoughts on college... I find no Biblical back-up for it.

I hope you don't view this as a negative comment, but I think for everything you believe you should have some kind of Scriptural back-up. I would be interested in seeing them! And since this your blog you're welcome to delete my comment if you feel it necessary.

And......... I WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU SOON. HOW ARE YOU? GIRL EMAIL ME!

LOVE YA!

Jocelyn,

Hello! First off I will not delete your comment. :) You have every right to say what you said. However, I do not believe in hunting, I know they did in the bible, I have no problem eating animals that are farm raised for that purpose, but I personally do not believe in hunting deer, bison, peasants, etc. That's my opinion.

About Osama Obama dude. I still believe in respecting him because he is our authority. It's hard to explain my position on it, I don't feel like explaining in detail over the computer cause things can be misunderstood. :) Maybe I will call you later and we can chat more about it?

No, your comment was not negative, I was merely talking about comments like 'your stupid" and such. If you would like to say more please email me :)

Love
Julia

I'm right with you when it comes to hunting girl, and I do agree, we do need to respect "Osama Nobama" strange-ness. Sure, I DO NOT agree with what he believes and I DO NOT want him in office. But if he DOES, we do need to respect him.

Love you girl,
Toria

Hehe... a guy once said "we're supposed to be salt to the world. Salt irritates so if you're not irritating (as far as being a witness and example) someone you're not doing your job". :P

What I meant when I said I don't agree with hunting for fun was - if someone is going to go spend a bunch of money on a hobby (hunting) than I don't agree with it. But if they're going to go out and hunt for their families (a lot do) to be able to eat that I don't disagree with it. I don't see what the difference is between eating store-bought meat or hunting.... cows that are kept on major farms aren't treated fairly as far as being fed the right stuff (that's why they have to add the icky stuck). I'd be more concerned about them then the abundance of wild deer. :P

I think a lot of the "save the animals" (this is NOT at you at all) comes from a humanistic worldview. People are more concerned about saving the sea-whales than they are about saving the lives of unborn children. I guess I'm not happy with the fact that God gave us dominion over the earth and to eat the animals, and we are spending billions of dollars saving the animals when they are far greater causes. We were put here for a purpose and that was to glorify God and to ministry to others.

As far a Obama..... we are suppose to love him as God's creation, but I can't respect him or his values, just like God's people with sinful kings/queens of the Bible.

Oh good. I'm glad I didn't offend you - at least not enough to delete my comment! LOL

Yes, call when you get a chance. :) ((((HUGS))))

Hey Julia,

Yeah yeah yeah, so you're gonna kill me for it, but as of today I have to say that I do side with what Jocelyn says about respecting Obama. I'll post about it later, but oh boy mate was it ever FREAKY! Super freaky. And it's even more freaky knowing that he's pulling ahead of McCain. *shivers* In short, his people are coming as close to saying that he's God as they can without actually right out and saying it. Ever see those graphics on blogs that show McCain with Obama behind him and says "Followed by the devil"? I'm starting to believe it's true.....but other than respecting Obama, I do believe that you need to respect authorities....it's just a close line to call when the "authority" claims he's the Alpha and Omega. Yeah, now that's what I call freaky. -_^

Love you mate,

Toria,

No it's okay. I understand Jocelyn's point and thats fine if you agree too. I have no problem with someone disagreeing with me on something. Like I told Jocelyn, it's hard for me to explain my position on that and it's really not something I can explain through a post or comments. Don't worry I still love ya mate :)

I saw what you rote

I don't support hunting (get it through your head)
I don't support wearing of leather, fur, or a dead animal around someone's neck
I don't support the use of dead animal's as rugs!

Why dont you support theese thinkg?
Do you mean you dont wear leather shoes?
Or eat deer or wild rabbit?

And why not use a dead animal as a rug if its already been killed (For the meat)

I am just wondering did you know leather comes from cows that we kill to eat for meat what do you think should be done with there hides?
Why waste them when we can make shoes to keep our feet warm and other clothing to keep warm.

and you also said you
I do support zoo's, if they animals are proven to be well taken care of and are happy.

but you

I don't support keeping an exotic animal as a pet

why I have a peacock who is VERY VERY happy and seems to love us.
Why support o zoo where someone keeps animals in there cages and millions of ppl come look at them they have no purpose in their cages but if we hav the as a pet there LOVED and are treated VERY GOOD.

Lol that doesnt make any sence.

Hello, this is Toria, and I noticed that Julia hadn't answered your questions (poor girl's been busybusybusy!!) but I think I may be able to answer them (hope you don't mind Julia...) Julia and I usually see eye-to-eye on things like this, and we both love telling others about how to save the planet and animals. -_^

Anyhow, you asked why she doesn't agree with leather, rugs, etc. made out of animal hides, fur, etc. Let's face it, I'm an animal freak, and Julia is, too. The animal should be living "free and in the wild" rather than dead on someone's floor or strapped around their feet. By not supporting leather or rugs of animal hide, we're showing that we don't agree with the killing of animals for these things. There's actual farms where all they do is trap tons of animals in small cages and they just raise them to kill them, just so someone can have leather shoes or have a dead animal rug on the floor. They do not treat the animals well at all. Some animals are even skinned alive (they do that most of the times with dogs in China for fur for the insides of boots, etc.) I think I may have a pair of leather boots sitting around somewhere, and I'm not sure if I'll give them away or trash them because I don't support leather. I returned a skirt to Salvation Army because I had bought it and didn't know it was leather. I would never be able to walk around in that skirt knowing that it was a dead animal drapped around me.

As for leather coming from cows, that's true. Personally, I feel guilty for eating meat, BUT...there are farms who have "animal compassion" programs where they treat the animals very well, and that's where we try to buy our meat from. I do not support big farms where all they're concerned about is the money the cows bring.

Yes, some zoos aren't good, and therefor I don't support them and neither does Julia. They're small, tiny, the animals have nothing to do, etc. They're awful. On the other hand, there ARE zoos who give their animals big areas to play in and lots of things to do. Those are the good zoos, and they should be supported. Personally, I don't think there's anything wrong with having peafowl as pets AS LONG as they're cared for and loved. Birds are a whole different thing that 4-legged mammals. I think what Julia meant by "exotic" animals was things like monkeys, tigers, lions, etc. Many people use exotic animals to protect/guard drugs (Julia and I were just talking about this) and they are treated so bad. My uncle just wrangled a gator the other day in the basement of a "druggie" house when he was on a SWAT team raid, so this is not "uncommon" or "never heard of". It's a horrible thing to keep animals crammed up just to guard illegal drugs. I know a guy who used to own a lion and they both loved each other and the lion was given the best care (it was rescued by this guy if I remember right, and it WAS NOT in a drug house). She had a big pen and things to do, and the guy would spend time with her every day. Now, I don't support that though, lions are wild animals and should be kept and protected in the wild. That's where they're happy, that's where they belong.

Hope that helped you figure things out a little and answer your questions!

Blessings,
Toria

Hi, I'm dixiefiddler and dixiebeautys mom and I wanted to stop by and tell you ladies how very proud I am of you all. I read your entry and the comments others left you and want to tell you all that you handled things in such a mature manner. I've read entries that other adults wrote and they acted like imature brats. Isn't it a shame that you young ladies acted more "adult" than the adults did. Your parents should be very proud of you all.
