Sobriety test
The other night Clementine asked, “Is my sobriety test on Monday?”
At first I was surprised that she knew the words sobriety then I wanted to laugh and I did. I told her a sobriety test was something you took when you had too much moonshine and she would be taking a standardized test on Monday.
We began the standardized test today and it goes through Wednesday. This morning she was nervous but when I saw her at the first break she had relaxed considerably. She said the test was, “easy and fun”. I’m not sure easy and fun will translate to high scores, but at least she isn’t worried and stressed.
We are still waiting to hear news about my mother and I am still waiting on things to happen with me. So thank you so much, you who have never even met me and those of you who have, for lifting me up in your prayers. It means so much to me.

Oh, that's wonderful! I've got to pass that one on! Just to be sure....you're not actually giving her moonshine to help her pass the test are you? Ü
Definitely praying for you and your situation. Be blessed.

I've debated about doing standardized tests- can I ask what you ordered and how long it takes to receive them?
Again praying for you, your body, your emotions!
Happy Moonshining!

that's so cute, sobriety test.
I haven't done standardized tests yet ... they're not required here. each year I almost sign up for them. Now that my eldest is in 6th grade I'm torn between feeling like I really should have some external measure and being really afraid we'll be flopping. then I try to remind myself that it's not about the *academics* for us, that's not our *goal* ... but still.

I loved your explanation. Moonshine. HA. Your Arkansas roots are showing my dear. (I can say that......my grandpa is from Arkansas)
How nice that the stress is over with now for her. The wondering is half the battle.

Happy belated birthday!
Sobriety test. Good gravy that was funny! Children do pick up all the things you wish they wouldn't.

Dear Melissa,
This coming Saturday is the 7th anniversary of my baby, Sarah's, due date. She was supposed to be born on our 10th wedding anniversary and we are celebrating our 17th this weekend.
I have such in an ache in my heart remembering Sarah (and her possible twin) right now and everytime I feel choked with emotion I think of what you are going through right now and I just lift you up in prayer.
I thank the Lord that He can use my pain to give me a deep empathy for those walking a similar path.
Again, I am sorry for your loss and am praying for healing in every area of your life as you go through this process.
Love in Christ,
Christina
