Books, Books and more books!

I love books! I am a book-aholic! I also love birth, so my favorite is books about birth.My husband let me have some money last weekend to order some books (a treat that he gives me every so often) and I bought 6 new books. They have all come in the mail this week and I am having a hard time keeping from trying to read them all at once. I got: Active Birth (which I had last year and gave away on Paperback swap, then found out I am going to need for a midwifery study group that I will be starting in September) Gentle Birth Choices (which came with a really cool video on birth) Lying In (which I wrote about in the last post and am almost done with. A great read! My husband even picked it up and found it really interesting.) The V Zone (another one I need for the study groupand yes it is a female only sort of book) Birthsong's Midwifery Workbook (This book is really cool! I am enjoying skimming it and can't wait to really dive into studying the material in it) Listen to Me Good (a story of an Alabama midwife. This is the one that I am most anxious to read. It looks really good!) All except the last one are books that I will need for the study group. I also need about 7 more books and they are really expensive, but books I have wanted for some time. Christian is very supportive in me joining this study group (in fact encouraged me to join), so he has said that I can buy some of the books every week until I have them all. This makes me very happy! Did I mention that I love books on birth?! |
