May. 12, 2006 - anyone want a cat?

OK, so we have three.  The fat boy is mine.  The crazy girl is Caitlin's.  Somewhere along the line, our vet gave us a bengal.  She breeds him and his colors are wrong.  Go figure.  He's beautiful, but his colors aren't the only thing wrong with him!  He has started crying all night and has claimed my favorite couch as his place to pee!

That's it!  I am OK with the cats until they start peeing in the house.  We're redecorating this summer and this guy's got to go ....

Anyone want a bengal whose colors are off? And a few other things are off?

I had one like that. Not the colours thing, but the peeing thing. His name was George, he talked to me constantly, wrapped himself around my neck whenever he had the chance, and peed wherever and whenever he felt like it (only after my dad visited briefly with a dust-mop dog). He went, almost airmail! Now we just have our geriatric, bulimic, toothless wonder Heidi. She pees where she's supposed to (we think), she doesn't bite or scratch, she comes when you call and purrs when somebody so much as looks at her. And drools. We suspect she's a bit senile too. But oh so loveable!!!!

Wouldn't you be a little bit "off" too if your mommy gave you away because you were the wrong color?
Seriously, it was probably the move. A majority of cats don't handle that kind of environment change well. Putting another litter box out for him (somewhere near that couch if possible) might help since there are already two cats. We were also told (See? We've been through this too!) to make sure there was one litter box for each floor of the house if you have a multi-level. Checking to see if he has a bladder infection is also possible.
Of course, none of that worked for us either and so, Paradise Lost/Garage Found, and until the end of her days our beloved Shadow couldn't have been happier about the arrangement. She loved it outside at our farm.
Good luck!
