The empty nest

It sure is quiet around here. 10 a.m. in the morning, my sweet
dh is at work, the children are all out on their own, and I sometimes
feel a little lost with no one else in the house. I have plenty to do:
I am working on The Story of the Ancient World for Nothing New Press (that reminds me, I need to get that page up on the Internet), and there is the whole Classical Christian Homeschooling website overhaul
which is coming up in a few days. Plus, I just moved my sewing things
into an empty room, and it is a mess and needs organized. I have three
quilts in different stages of non-completion, and I would like to be
working on them when I need a break from the computer. I have so much
to do I don’t want to think about it sometimes. But some days I really
miss my children.
Our grandson Zane
is such a blessing when I start feeling a little blue. Whenever he sees
me, he starts running toward me with this huge open-mouthed grin on his
face, LOL, his arms out-stretched to be picked up. I think I’ll call my
daughter and see if she wants to go to lunch today.
