Prayer for Israel

posted Wednesday, September 16, 2009 :: 8:05 AM

May the eyes of Israel's heart be enlightened - national and individual, Judah and Ephraim - so that she will know what is the HOPE of her calling! May she know what are the riches of the glory of her inheritance among the set apart ones! May she know what is the surpassing greatness of Elohiym's power TOWARD us who believe! These are in accordance with the working of the STRENGTH of His MIGHT which He brought about in Messiah when He raised Him from the dead!  Eph 1:18-19

Yes, I speak resurrection and LIFE to Israel! May the dry bones live in the name of Messiah Yeshua! Open their graves and bring them up; bring them back to the land of Israel! May Israel know YHVH her Elohiym! May Israel receive the Spirit of YHVH and live, and be SETTLED in her own land! Eze 37:1-14

YHVH seated Messiah at His right hand in the heavenly places, FAR ABOVE all rule and authority and power and dominion! FAR ABOVE the US government and the Arab coalition and the UN and the tyrant of Iran! Messiah Yeshua is seated FAR ABOVE every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the one to come! Eph 1:20-21

Therefore in the name and authority of Messiah Yeshua - Mat 28:18 - may the weapons, strategies, and desires of the wicked who have arrayed themselves not against Israel only, but against YHVH Creator of heaven and earth, be cursed, wither from the roots, fall to the ground effectiveless, and be trampled underfoot! For no weapon that is formed against Israel will prosper, and every tongue that accuses Israel in judgment will be condemned! This is the heritage of the servants of YHVH, for their vindication is from Him! Isa 54:17

Praise YHVH! For blessed is Israel - national and individual, Judah and Ephraim - who fears YHVH, who delights greatly in His commandments! For Israel's descendants are mighty on earth; the generation of the upright is BLESSED! May wealth and riches be found in her house, and may the righteousness of Messiah Yeshua which is imputed to Israel endure forever! May the light of YESHUA arise in the darkness for Israel; may YHVH be gracious, and full of compassion, and righteous toward her!  May Israel deal graciously and lend; may Israel guide her affairs with discretion!

Surely Israel will never be shaken; for YHVH keeps Israel in everlasting remembrance. Israel will not be afraid of evil tidings; may her heart be steadfast, trusting in YHVH! May YHVH establish her heart, may Israel fear not, until she sees her desire upon her enemies! For Israel has dispersed abroad, Israel has given to the poor, and Israel's righteousness endures forever! May Israel's horn be exalted with honor!

The wicked who have arrayed themselves against Israel, and not against Israel only, but against YHVH Creator of heaven and earth, will see it and be grieved! May the wicked gnash his teeth and melt away; and ALL his desire perish! Amen! Ps 112

For YHVH has established His throne in heaven, and His kingdom rules over all! Ps 103:19

Therefore bless YHVH, you His angels, who excel in strength! DO HIS WORD CONCERNING ISRAEL AND HER ENEMIES, Heed the voice of His word that we have voiced today in prayer!  Bless YHVH, all you His hosts, you ministers of His, who do His pleasure! Ps 103:20-21

Minister today to ISRAEL who is destined to inherit salvation, nationally and individually, of both Judah and Ephraim! Heb 1:14

We speak in agreement with the Word of YHVH this day! May redemption, restoration, salvation, and VICTORY come forth this day for Israel, in the name of Yeshua Messiah, AMEN!

Obama: Iran Has Right to Nuclear Power

How much of this is rhetoric planned to make Iran feel that the US is his buddy now? I wonder if Obama thinks that if the US throws Israel under the bus, Iran will play nice and not send its nukes here.

Because Obama is throwing Israel under the Muslim world bus. The US is pressuring Israel to accept a two state solution with Jerusalem as the Palestinian captial. If Israel remains stubborn, the Israeli air force might find repair parts for its fighters hard to come by, or they might find that we will be silent on their behalf in the U.N.

Isn't it ironic that Obama feels that the US has no right to impose its values on the world ... but of course, he means the MADMEN and WARMONGERS of the world. On peaceful nations such as Israel, he obviously feels he must impose his values ...or else no IDF repair parts for you!

The problem for the U.S., is that there is someone far greater to fear than Iran. Israel is the apple of YHVH's eye, not Iran (and certainly not us). Hey, if Obama wants to be on the Lord's bad side, that is his personal choice. I just wish he wouldn't drag the whole nation with him.

"Ho, Zion! Escape, you who are living with the daughter of Babylon." For thus says the LORD of hosts, "After glory He has sent me against the nations which plunder you, for he who touches you, touches the apple of His eye. "For behold, I will wave My hand over them so that they will be plunder for their slaves. Then you will know that the LORD of hosts has sent Me. "Sing for joy and be glad, O daughter of Zion; for behold I am coming and I will dwell in your midst," declares the LORD. "Many nations will join themselves to the LORD in that day and will become My people. Then I will dwell in your midst, and you will know that the LORD of hosts has sent Me to you. "The LORD will possess Judah as His portion in the holy land, and will again choose Jerusalem. "Be silent, all flesh, before the LORD; for He is aroused from His holy habitation." Zech 2:7-13

Holocaust Remembrance Day

posted Monday, April 20, 2009 :: 4:38 PM

The UN's conference on racism started today. Labeled "Durban II", it is really just an excuse for the most repressive regimes in the world to get together to bash Israel. During Durban I, held just days before the Sept 11 terrorist attacks, Israel was disproportionately singled out for censure by Islamic regimes, while the human rights violations that take place in their own countries every day were never even mentioned.

As a case in point as just how unserious this UN conference is, one of the keynote speakers is Ahmadinejad, the madman of Iran. During his speech today, while he again denied the Holocaust and called for the elimination of Israel, 23 delegates walked out. Twenty-three countries had conviction and acted upon it! It should have been a lot more. The Holocaust was not that long ago.

There is a reason the Israel haters at the UN scheduled this conference to open this week. Tonight begins Holocaust Remembrance Day in Israel, a serious and somber national holiday. You can read about the torch lighters - Holocaust survivors and their heart- wrenching stories - who will be taking part in ceremonies in Israel here.

The US boycotted this conference "with regret." There was uncertainty up to the last minute whether Hilary Clinton would give the green light to attend or not. But in the end, our government did the right thing, and refused to participate in the kangaroo court conference whose only aim is not to address racism, but to spew anti-Semitism (ironic, isn't it?).

Israel apartheid week

posted Friday, March 6, 2009 :: 7:38 AM

Did you know that this week (March 1-7) has been designated Israel Apartheid Week? It began five years ago with a university in Canada, which spent the week condemning Israel for atrocities against the Palestinians, and engaging in apartheid  a la South Africa. Seriously! I believe this week is chosen every year because it is the week Purim is to begin. What irony - Purim, the holiday commemorating God's deliverance of the Jews from the hatred of Haman in the Persian Empire, at the hands of Queen Esther. Now the enemies of Israel have turned it into a time to inflame hatred against Israel once again.

The movement has spread to hundreds of universities world wide. This is another reason we either need to see reformation in our colleges, or bypass them altogether for higher education. If you are aware of a university in your area engaging in demonstrations against Israel, go and add your voice of support for Israel. Find a way to bless a Jewish student organization at your university this week of all weeks, so our brothers of Judah know they are not alone, and do not have to bear this hatred alone.

Update: This blog has a great roundup of information on Israel Apartheid Week, as well as an excellent pro- Israel blog roll.

Showing honor to whom honor is due

posted Friday, February 20, 2009 :: 6:55 AM

I ask myself, as I watch my country going down the tubes with a new "stimulus" bill that makes our combined national debt greater than the GDP of the entire world; with people at these town hall meetings seriously asking the President of the United States for things like houses and greater benefits and securities at their entry- level jobs (one school child asked the President to make it rain candy ... now where did the darling tot get the idea that the President had this power?), what can I do? An entire generation has now been homeschooled, in an effort to turn the tide begun so many years ago, and the impact seems to be indiscernible, on the face of it.

We need to press in to the Lord our God like never before. Let's not be satisfied with the relationship we had last year, last month, or last week. Let us seek His face while He may be found! Let's seriously learn His ways of righteousness and apply them in every area of our lives. Let's forsake the way of man and the way of the world. It may be that the Lord will yet have mercy on us.

And let us love, honor, and bless Israel, the apple of God's eye, now more than ever. Here is one concrete thing we can do today. The International Christian Embassy Jerusalem is sounding the trumpet about Durban II coming up in April:

In the picturesque Swiss city of Geneva this coming April, the United Nations is due to hold its second global summit on racism at a 'human rights' gathering designed to review the outcomes of the hate-filled fiasco held in Durban, South Africa in the week before the 9/11 attacks of September 2001.

UN Human Rights Council chair Libya is in the driving seat and has gladly handed the wheel over to Iran rendering the so-called Durban II conference little more than a UN-sponsored show-trial of Israel and the West.

As in 2001,
…only one nation is singled out for condemnation: Israel
…only one cause merits attention: Palestine
…and only one religion merits protection: Islam

This past weekend the State Department announced that President Obama is content to go along with it.

The Durban II Declaration will make it an act of racism for the Jewish people to live in a land of their own and a hate-crime to condemn the Islamic terrorism that targets them.

Not in our name. Tell President Obama to boycott Durban II.

Sign the petition. Let your voice of disapproval, of dissent, be on record. If enough of us cry out, who knows? It may have an impact.

Sense of humor still intact

A friend who keeps up on Israeli politics sent me this, and I had to share it with you all. True story:

An ingenious example of speech and politics occurred recently in the United Nations Assembly and made the world community smile.

A representative from Israel began: "Before beginning my talk I want to tell you something about Moses.
When he struck the rock and it brought forth water, he thought,'What a good opportunity to have a bath!'

He removed his clothes, put them aside on the rock and entered the water.

When he got out and wanted to dress, his clothes had vanished. A Palestinian had stolen them.'

The Palestinian representative jumped up furiously and shouted, 'What are you talking about? The Palestinians weren't there then.'

The Israeli representative smiled and said, 'And now that we have made that clear, I will begin my speech ..."

Mark Steyn has nailed the flaw in the West's philosophy toward the Israeli- Palestinian conflict.
Update: International Christian Embassy Jerusalem has posted an excellent summary of the current conflict as well as analysis of what might be in store. ICEJ is also helping Israeli families in the areas under rocket fire, if anyone cares to show their support of Israel in a concrete way. Now, for a summary of the conflict from the beginning - i.e. 1948 when Israel became a state - Glenn Beck does a great job in his History of the Middle East in a Couple of Minutes.

a picture is worth a thousand words

posted Monday, January 5, 2009 :: 7:27 AM

This video of a pro- Hamas demonstration is a real eye- opener. It took place last week, and there was a pro-Israel demonstration across the street. Some of the phrases the Hamas supporters were shouting:

"Go back to the ovens"
"Israel go to hell"

Then after this virulent hatred was spewed, an imam led the muslims in the pro- Hamas demonstration in evening prayers, and gave an interview to the one taking the video, about how misunderstood Islam is in America, because it is really a religion of beauty. The video clearly shows the virulent hatred, then the imam declaring Islam to be a religion of beauty, then after the prayers, the pro- Hamas crowd was not content to just demonstrate, they crossed the street to get in the face of the pro- Israel supporters. It took the police to keep the pro-Hamas supporters from escalating the violence of their words into actions.

Now this demonstration did not take place in the Middle East, Europe, or even Berkeley, California. It was in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. People, pray like never before, for Israel and for America.

Crucifixion? Really?

posted Wednesday, December 31, 2008 :: 11:37 AM

The Israel Security Agency reports that Hamas in Gaza has suffered serious damage, their development laboratories completely destroyed. In other words, Israel is taking out the group that recently announced they would reinstate CRUCIFIXION for infidels. That's you and me, folks! Now that Israel is on the verge of a great victory, France has stepped in to try to negotiate a truce. A truce would give Hamas much needed breathing space to regroup. Thankfully, so far Israel is ignoring France. Let's pray they stay strong and finish off Hamas once and for all. If you haven't prayed for Israel lately, PRAY NOW!

2009 predictions: revival!

posted Tuesday, December 30, 2008 :: 1:55 PM

Well, war has broken out in Israel. As per usual, the islamic militants started the aggression, and as per usual, everyone but us and Germany is blaming Israel for defending itself. My pastor in Colorado believes that wars in the natural involving Israel mirror wars in the spiritual realm involving the Church. When Israel wins a great victory, a fresh outpouring of the Holy Spirit is released upon the church. It seems that Israel lured Hamas into a false sense of security, and they are well prepared to clean Hamas out of Gaza. I pray it is so, and they can regain the land they voluntarily released several years ago, under misguided pressure from us and the world. That would be a huge victory for Israel, so people, get prepared for a revival of epic proportions to hit the Church!

The next war on Israel has begun

posted Monday, March 10, 2008 :: 8:46 AM

03/10/08 Update: This new war is Iran vs. Israel, since Iranian- made missiles are being used in the attacks, and Hamas members are going to Iran for training. However, the latest Israeli intel says that war will be unlikely in 2008. I take that to mean, OVERT war will be unlikely - Iran will continue to provide training and weapons and the means to attack Israel through terrorism. In the meantime, the Bush administration will continue to push Israel to give up land for "peace" with their Palestinian neighbors - who took to the streets rejoicing at the news of the murdered students last week. I ask again: how can there be peace with people who delight in your violent and horrific murder?

***

03/07/08 Original post: Hamas- run Gaza has not stopped firing missiles at Sderot since the violent coup in 2006. Last week Hamas was firing Iranian- made (and I am assuming, supplied) missiles at Ashkelon. Now comes a Hamas- sponsored terror attack on observant Jews inside Jerusalem itself, where 8 were killed, for the first time since 2005. While the US has condemned the attack, the UN Security Council could not bring itself to do so.

And our Secretary of State is in Jerusalem at the moment, urging Israel to give Israeli territory to Palestinians so they can have their own state.

The Palestinians were the ones who elected Hamas to represent them in Gaza in the first place. Has everyone forgotten that?

If your neighbor is doing his level best to kill you, you do not give him a bigger house, more money, and more weapons so he can accomplish his goal easier! Why is this so hard for the State department to understand?

Correction ...

posted Monday, January 14, 2008 :: 4:45 PM

Last week I said I didn't believe man would succeed in his plan of dividing Israel and Jerusalem. But if the Lord prophesied it would happen, then of course man will succeed. I found these over the weekend:

“For behold, in those days and at that time,
 When I bring back the captives of Judah and Jerusalem,
 I will also gather all nations,
 And bring them down to the Valley of Jehoshaphat;
 And I will enter into judgment with them there
 On account of My people, My heritage Israel,
 Whom they have scattered among the nations;
 They have also divided up My land.
 They have cast lots for My people,
 Have given a boy as payment for a harlot,
 And sold a girl for wine, that they may drink." Joel 3:1-3

This refers to our time, because the prophecy is for when the Lord has brought back the captives of Judah and Jerusalem. That is the house of Judah, the Jews. That did not start happening until the twentieth century, and is still going on today. Also, all nations have not yet gathered against Jerusalem so that the Lord enters into judgment with them there.

"Behold, the day of the LORD is coming,
 And your spoil will be divided in your midst.
 For I will gather all the nations to battle against Jerusalem;
 The city shall be taken,
 The houses rifled,
 And the women ravished.
 Half of the city shall go into captivity,
 But the remnant of the people shall not be cut off from the city." Zechariah 14:1-2

This is also referring to our time, because it is speaking of the day of the Lord. It may be that Israel will resist dividing its land and giving half of Jerusalem over to the Palestinians, and this will bring all the nations - the United Nations, with the US included this time - to battle against Jerusalem, to force it to abide by man's so- called "peace plan."

I do not believe in coincidences

posted Friday, January 11, 2008 :: 5:13 AM

The new moon, the first day of the 11th month of the Hebrew calendar (if you count time as God commanded Moses, numbering the first month of the year with the ripening of the barley, and the first day of each successive month on the appearing of the new moon) was yesterday, in Israel. On this day in history, the Scripture records, the Lord said through Moses:

Now it came to pass in the fortieth year, in the eleventh month, on the first day of the month, that Moses spoke to the children of Israel according to all that the LORD had given him as commandments to them ... "See, I have set the land before you; go in and possess the land which the LORD swore to your fathers—to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob—to give to them and their descendants after them." Deuteronomy 1:3,8

Thus saith the Lord on the first day of the eleventh month: "Possess the land which the Lord swore to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, to give to them and their descendants after them." What is even more jaw- dropping is that this year, the year that President Bush wants Israel to divide its land and to divide Jerusalem, is the fortieth year since the Lord restored Jerusalem to Israel as a result of the 1967 war.

Yesterday, the day that President Bush said that Israel must end its "occupation" - and what is occupation but possession of the land - is the anniversary of the day that the Lord said to Moses, recorded in the word of God, which is from everlasting to everlasting, to go in and possess the land that He has given to their fathers and their descendants after them.

The word of God is clearly saying, "Possess!" and the word of man is clearly saying, "Do not possess!" and Israel must choose which word to follow. I am afraid for Olmert, because I do not believe that God will allow the word of man to prevail over His word, I am afraid for President Bush, for placing himself on the wrong side of God in this issue, and I am afraid for us, since he is our President. Israel, I am not afraid for, because God has fought for her and will continue to fight for her, and I do not believe the word of man is going to prevail over the word of God, and the dividing will not ultimately come to pass.

Irony on the front page

posted Thursday, January 10, 2008 :: 2:45 PM

I only have time for a quick note. But I was perusing the front page of the Jerusalem Post online, to see what the President had been up to today. If anyone still thinks that a Palestinian State is what the Muslim world wants, which will stop their hatred of Israel and the Jews, consider this:

On the same day that President Bush called for an end to the "occupation" -- meaning the Israeli "occupation" of the West Bank, their historic homeland which they won fair and square when the Palestinians of the West Bank attacked Israel in the 1967 war, that West Bank that the Lord helped them regain, which He calls the hills of Ephraim and the mountains of Judea -- the same day that the President of the United States used the exact same words to describe Israel in the West Bank as Jimmy Carter does -- the leader of Hezbollah in Lebanon said that the Bush visit to Israel was a "black day" for the Arab world. If someone says the leader of Hezbollah hardly represents the greater Muslim world, I would beg to differ. It is the Hezbollahs of the world that the appeasers are trying to appease by giving land for peace. They will not be satisfied with a Palestinian state; when and if the Palestinians get their own state, they will simply find something else to blame their hatred on and keep right on going.

President Bush in Israel

President Bush is in Israel right now, to encourage both parties to move the "peace process" forward. I am afraid for us, because if we work against Israel, that puts us on the side we do not want to be on, in God's eyes. "He who touches you touches the apple of His eye."

Previously: Is anyone surprised that God is true to His word?

The 2007 hurricane season has come and gone, and God's word wins out over man's best science. Told you so.

In fact, the hurricane predictors are taking heat because they haven't been able to get their predictions right. They didn't see Katrina coming, and Florida experienced nary a hurricane at all this year. But in all fairness, can man predict through science the actions, judgments, interventions, and blessings of God in the affairs of men? Science has been elevated as a god for millions; and YHVH the true God is merely causing it to fall on its face before Him, as has every other idol man has set up in his history.

The greater lesson here is this: If God intervenes in the affairs of men to bring His purposes about in the earth, particularly in regard to Israel, the apple of His eye, then man (Hello Bush administration, Olmert administration, Muslim world, and the Quartet) would be very wise to be hands off in regard to Jerusalem and the deportation of Jews from the West Bank, biblical Judea and Samaria. Katrina will pale in comparison to the damage we will bring on ourselves for daring to touch God's beloved again. That is my new prediction based on the Word of God, and this time I hope I am wrong. But I don't think so. Is anyone listening?

On Annapolis and the Middle East

posted Tuesday, November 27, 2007 :: 10:10 AM

The Annapolis summit meets today. The Olmert government in Israel is too weak to enforce any unpopular decisions, such as dividing Jerusalem or evacuating the West Bank (biblical mountains of Samaria and Ephraim). The Abbas government in the West Bank is in like position, because it is teetering on the edge of being overrun by Hamas as they did in Gaza. I wonder if that will open the door to international (UN) involvement, which would be disastrous for Israel as the UN is virulently anti-Semitic. In any case, there are concerns that a failed Annapolis summit will be just the excuse the Palestinian militants will grab to begin another round of violence against Israel.

A flare up in the Israeli- Palestinian conflict might be just the excuse the greater Middle East will grab to begin an all out war against Israel. Syria was busy building a nuclear weapons facility (erroneously reported in the media as a nuclear reactor) that the IDF bombed in September; but the UN just reported that Hezbollah is fully rearmed in Southern Lebanon to pre-2006 war levels, this time with more advanced weapons. Of course, Iran continues to mouth its threats. The PLO and Arab members of the Israeli Knesset also announced they will never recognize Israel as a Jewish state. You do not make peace accords with people who refuse to recognize your right to exist; you strengthen your hand so that they are deterred from foolishly trying to force your non- existence. As President Reagan advocated, Peace through Superior Firepower (and I might add, the will to use it if necessary). Well, giving away land does not strengthen you, it weakens you; and it enlarges the base of operations for your enemies. If even I know that, then why don't Bush, Rice, and Olmert?

Every word of God proves true

posted Friday, October 19, 2007 :: 10:47 PM

Hal Lindsey (I don't always agree with his analysis of prophecy) has written a column warning the president and Secretary of State Condi Rice of the consequences prophesied in Zechariah of dividing Jerusalem, something they are insisting on for the Annapolis Mideast peace summit coming up next month. Why, I ask myself, is the Bush administration doing the Palestinian Authority's negotiating for them? I hope the Bush administration heeds Zechariah's warning, for our sakes. But I am not comforted by their wisdom, or lack thereof, which they have demonstrated on the Palestinian question in the past few years. For every word of God proves true, even if the actions of our country places us in the crosshairs of the fulfillment of that word.
