Through wisdom is an house builded; and by understanding it is established:
And by knowledge shall the chambers be filled with all precious and pleasant riches.
Proverbs 24:3-4
Through wisdom we love and show love to our family, we ensure communication between one another, and we bind our love by our actions towards each other. We gather most of our wisdom through the reading, studying, and prayerfully seeking understanding of The Word of God. With His guidance and direction we can learn so much about the family that He created and established.
Much wisdom comes from experience also. By that I mean we pay careful attention to what works, and what doesn't work, for our family to bring unity, love, joy, peace, and togetherness.
We want our family to be happy to go places and do things together in public without being ashamed of one another. Believe me the public take notice when a loving family's around them. Your family is peculiar to them. Some admire it, some desire it, and some detest it. Don't be surprised when they may ask, "How did you accomplish this feat?" And don't be surprised when they accuse you of shielding your children from the world.
If we are Christians, which means we are Christlike, then we must pray and practice to be like Christ. You are not automatically like Christ. When you attain salvation you are a different person and you see everything in a different way. You have a desire to change and God helps you by placing convictions on your life. Now when He wants you to stop doing something and someone tells you it's not wrong, then who should you listen to? Of course you can push off these convictions that you know came from God and be like them. God gives you a free will to make your own choices in life and never forces you to do anything. On the other hand the enemy of our soul, the devil or the thief, has come but to steal, and to kill, and destroy. He's the tempter, you're the tempted, he's the tester, you're the tested, he's the enemy of God and you're the friend of God if you chose to be.
Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. Few there be that find it. My friend, I urge you in these last days to find "The Way" and you and your family will be glad of it. Isn't it a time for a change? My way doesn't work but His way does every time!
If you need to talk about it feel free to email me or my wife, Traci, and we will be happy to help all we can with God's help.
May God richly bless all HomeSchoolers with His wisdom and grace!!!
