Raindrops on Roses....
A day late.. a favorite short..
Well not really. Just a day late.
Here I am joining Sarah again for her My Favorite Things.
My favorite thing for this week are these cool little tea bags. They are Lipton's Green Tea Mandarin Orange Pyramid Tea's. Yummy!
What I've been doing is brewing these with my regular green tea bags to make some REALLY GREAT Ice Green Tea with Mandarin Orange. Doesn't that sound fancy?
I'm a coffee drinker in the morning, but I love my cool, fresh Green Tea in the afternoon. And Green Tea has some great benefits that come along with it. Check it out: ( Info via Green Tea Experts )
• fights against cancer
• helps stabilize diabetes
• prevents cardiovascular disease
• it keeps your skin acne-free, making it healthier and prettier
• assists in weight loss regimen
• slows the aging process
• aids your digestion
• encourages bowel regularity
• provides you with a mild stimulating effect without causing sleepless nights or nervousness especially during pregnancy
What's there in that list not to like.. LOL!
So there's my favorite for the week. Join Sarah over at Fiddledeedee and add yours.

Managing A Business Takes Skill
I'm not sure if I've share here or not that my DH is self employed. He owns a franchise of a great company, in an area of work that he loves. He was a mechanic for over 20 years, but physically couldn't do it anymore. So now he is the TOOL GUY that sells great tools to other mechanics. We've been self employed for over 12 years now. It has it's ups and downs, but all in all a great experience. Since he is the only employee, there's not a whole lot of paperwork that needs to be done or office issues to be taken care of.
We do have dear friend that owns his own company that has quiet a few employee's. His wife is a good friend of mine and she helps out with the office stuff. After hearing about some of the stuff she takes care of, I'm very thankful that I just need to send out boxes and make bank deposits.
Time Management Software looks like it would be a great software program to have if you had a large company. It keeps tracks of all the important projects and paperwork that needs to be done. I'm sure having a large company takes great management skills or you wouldn't be able to grow, prosper, or survive. Using a software program like this is a must. If we were ever to venture into a larger company, I would be investing in a good software program like this one.

When Chocolate and Calcium Isn't Enough
This isn't going to be a long post.
It's just a thought I had pop into my head as I was impatiently waiting for the water to boil for our Mac n' Cheese.
Ladies. Do you ever have those days, you know the ones. The ones leading up to The WEEK.
The ones where it seems that every nerve you have is stretched to the limits and someone or someone's in your family are PLUCKING them.
Those days when you NEED chocolate and there's none to be found.
You even contemplate chewing on the Unsweet cooking chocolate squares!
And they say that taking extra calcium helps with these days, b ut you could swallow FIVE the size of a horse pill and it wouldn't make a difference.
Well, I'm NOT experiencing those days... YET, but it feels like I'm getting there.
You know I'm kidding .... well maybe.. LOL.

If You Have to Use Them.. Find the Best One to Use
My DH is a stickler when it comes to paying bills. I am VERY thankful for this trait because knowing what my personality and lack of self control was when we met, that character trait has kept me in line and our bills paid on time.
One thing that he is GREAT about is making sure our credit card bills are paid in full and on time. We don't 'like' using them, but being self employed it's almost a must. And this is where my talent comes in. Researching the best ones to use. My philosophy is - If your going to use them, use them to your advantage.
I've currently found Card Hub.com. Applying for a Credit Card can be tricky and trying to figure out which is the best one to use can be even trickier. The web site at CardHub.com is great to use. On the left you will find a search engine where you can specify in a few easy clicks what your looking for in a card. I loved this feature. It was quick, easy, and had the answers to questions I was thinking in my head. Is there one with rewards? What's the APR? Can I find one in Visa and or Mastercard? With a click here and click there I was able to find one that could work for us. And not only did I find, but I was able to do side by side comparisons of different cards.
Once you find the one you like, you don't have to worry about sharing information with a company your not familiar with. You can click on the card you want and it will take you DIRECTLY to their site.
So if you need to Apply for a Credit Card, stop by CardHub.com and check it out.

Learning From My Kids - IPOD & ITunes Addition
You know... when it comes to internet/blog stuff, I think I'm pretty knowledgeable of how it all runs. But when it comes to high tech gadgets and the latest stuff that comes with it.. well, I'm just not as up to speed as some people.
One of those people would be my youngest princess.
You know it's pretty sad when you want to go out for walk and you ask your daughter if you can borrow her IPOD, and with great hesitation she says 'ok.. but let me show you how to work it first!'
I'll be honest. I'm new to the IPOD stuff. I enjoy my computer at home, my old radio, and my TV shows on TV. But it is kind of fun when you can watch a funny Dirty Jobs episode while walking down the street. ( Well, not really watching it.. that would be kind of dangerous. Just listening.)
So my princess is somewhat syked that I now have an affiliation with ITUNES. And as her mom, I'm a little excited too, because now I can make money off of her. LOL!!!!
