Education is...

Education is not the filling of a pail
but the lighting of a fire.
Of such is wisdom.

I really enjoy reading your blog on a regular basis. It is very insightful and I am really beginning to agree with the perspective of limited government. I am currently on food stamps and I also get free medical care at the local hospital for some drugs to help me through the holidays. Based on your thoughts, I am starting to suspect that this might be outside the role of the government, but I would like to see your thoughts on who would help me get food, shelter, drugs, and other necessities like Christmas presents for my kids. I am open to your point of view, but I am trying to understand how I can be better off unless I was forced to go and look for a job. I did not have a good experience the last time I had a job. It was a lot of pressure and I just don't feel that certain people are cut out for that type of thing. I think there are certain occupations that would work for me, but either they don't pay enough or I never seem to be able to find the right opportunity. On a lighter note, I want you to know that we share the same first and last initials! My middle initial is C. II hope you have a very Merry Christmas and I look forward to reading your next post. p.s. If you keep it up, I may find myself even voting Republican one day...

Hey KCB,
I was touched by your comments. As our heavenly Father, the Lord desires to be our sustainer and provider. I look forward to exploring on this blog the idea of submitting ourselves to His care. I hope you'll stay tuned.
