Grandmother’s wisdom on working mothers

Posted in Wisdom from my Grandmother

While I know this is far from politically correct, it is true none the less. Here is more Wisdom from my Grandmother on this subject.

No one can do two jobs well. You can pretend and argue and fool your self and others, but you can not change the truth.  A woman can not do the job of motherhood well and have a career (notice please the difference between a needed job and a career). One will suffer.  You will not let it be the job because a boss could care less if a child is sick or needs extra help with homework.  The “job” of motherhood will always come in second place because there is no pay check or  accountability. ...in this life.

There is nothing wrong with wanting a career.  But do not punish children because you want it.  Do not have any.

Or start your career after the children have grown and moved on.
