Good Morning!  I hope everyone is getting ready to have a wonderful Labor Day Weekend.  A lot of you may be getting ready to harvest your gardens.  For a newbie like myself who had to teach herself how to can, I thought I would share an invaluable resourse I found via the web.  This site has step by step instructions, videos, recipes and all kinds of great stuff. 

The site is from the Ball company; leader in canning supplies.   The site is at http://www.freshpreserving.com/ The site is really easy to navigate.

Another great book that was just a great help to me was the Ball Blue Book of Preserving.  Wal-mart carries it for around $7; well worth the money. 

A word of warning to newbies like myself: Be careful using old books about canning (I inheritted many old cookbooks) the procedures have improved a great deal in the last 20 years.  You would be wise to invest the money in a new book.
