Oct. 9, 2006 - ~Being a Christian
~Being a Christian IS:
~Believing that Jesus died on the cross for us.
~Accepting Jesus as your Savior.
~Trusting Him with your heart, soul, and life.
~Studying His Word.
~Applying His Word to your life and doing the best you can.
~Realizing you can't and won't be perfect and that's why HE died for us.
~Repenting of your sins. And yes you will still have them!!(I should know!)
~Praying daily.
~Witnessing when you are called to.
~Being a Christian is NOT:
~Being perfect or sin free.
~Judging others.
~Thinking that being a Christian makes you better than someone who is not one.
If you're not yet a Christian-consider it.It only takes a prayer!

Aug. 24, 2006 - Twas the night before Jesus Came
Twas the night before Jesus came and all through the house
not a creature was praying, not one in the house.
Their Bibles were lain on the shelf without care
In hopes that Jesus would not come there.
The children were dressing to crwal into bed.
Not once ever knealing or bowing a head.
And Mom in her rocker with baby on her lap
was watching the Late Show while I took a nap.
When out of the East there arouse such a clutter,
I prang to my feet to see what ws the matter.
Away to the window I flew with a flash
Tore open the shutters and threw up the sash!
When what to my wondering eyes should appear
But angels proclaiming that Jesus was here.
With a light like the "sun" sending forth a bright ray.
I knew in a moment this must be THE DAY!
The light of His face made me cover my head.
It was Jesus!! returning just like he had said.
And though I possessed worldly wisdom and wealth.
I cried when I saw Him in spite of myself.
In the Book of Life which He held in His hand.
Was written the name of every saved man.
He spoke not a word as He searched for my name:
When He said,"It's not here," my head hung in shame.
The people whose names had been written with love.
He gathered to take to His Father above.
To those who weren't ready, whose names were not found.
Were much in despair, for the were hell bound.
I fell to my knees, but it was too late:
I had waited too long and thus sealed my fate.
I stood and I cried as I thought of my plight.
Oh, if only I had been ready tonight.
In the words of this peom the meaning is clear;
The coming of Jesus is drawing near.
There's only one life and when comes the last call.
We'll find that the Bible was true after all!!

"The most important thing is for the child to be respected".~Bruno Bettelheim (1903-1900)

Aug. 21, 2006 - Life Attitude
The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life. Attitude, to me, is more important than facts. It is more important than the past, than education, than money, than circumstances, than failures, than success, than what other people think or say or do. It is more important than appearance, giftedness, or skill. It will make or break a company.... a church....a home. The remarkable thing is we have a choice every day regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day. We cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way. We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have, and that is our attitude. I am convinced that 10 percent of life is what happens to me and 90 percent is how I react to it. ~Have a Blessed Day!!

Aug. 21, 2006 - When I say I am a Christian....
When I say ..."I am a Christian,"
I'm not shouting "I am saved"
I'm whispering "I was lost!"
That is why I chose this way."
When I say..."I am a Christian,"
I don't speak of this with pride.
Im confessing that I stumble and
need someone to be my guide.
When I say..."I am a Christian,"
I'm not trying to be strong.
Im professing that I'm weak and
pray for strength to carry on.
When I say..."I am a Christian,"
I'm not bragging of success.
I'm admitting I have failed and
cannot ever pay the debt.
When I say..."I am a Christian,"
I'm not claiming to be perfect,
My flaws are too visible but God
believes I'm worth it.
When I say..."I am a Christian,"
I still feel the sting of pain.
I have my share of heartaches which is why
I seek His name.
When I say..."I am a Christian,"
I do not wish to judge.
I have no authority
I only know I'm loved.

Aug. 20, 2006 - Letter from God
I am God. Today I will be handling all of your problems. Please remember that I do not need your help.
If the devil happens to deliver a situation to you that you cannot handle, DO NOT attempt to resolve it. Kindly put it in the SFJTD (something for Jesus to do) box. It will be addressed in MY time not yours.
Once the matter is placed into the box, do not hold on to it or attempt to remove it. Holding on or removal will delay the resolution of your problem: If it is a situation that you think you are capable of handling, please consult me in prayer to be sure that it is the proper resolution.
Because I do not sleep nor do I slumber, there is no need for you to lose any sleep. Rest my child. If you need to contact me, I am only a prayer away. As with all good things, please pass this on.
God
