Lately I've been wanting to post all the time, but I can't ever think of what I really want to say.  *sigh*

We're watching Hello Dolly right now.  Our Church's school does a dinner theater every year and this year they're doing Hello Dolly.  :)  I'm really looking forward to it.  I went last year when they did A Night With Rodger's and Hammerstein.  It was amazing!  :D

Sometimes I wish life could be a musical...  They seem simpler.  :P

Well, the movies over and I'm tired.

Goodnight and love to you

• Feb. 4, 2010 - Sin and Chaos

Posted in Other
I just had a very interesting conversation with a friend about sin and chaos...

"a lot of people don't like that there is evil in the world because then it would seem that God created it, since he created Lucifer and Lucifer turned out evil
I think it was Augustine though that thought of it as, God didn't create sin, rather he created everything good
then because he gave us freewill we are able to take part in that goodness he created, or leave it alone, making sin the lack of good
rather than being an actual thing that was created
So that's how I like to think of it"

"Hmmm...
But that explains sins of just ignoring God
Not sins of purposely doing bad"

"What do you mean?"

"It's more apathy"

"Purposely doing bad is purposely not doing good"

"But then how did the devil decide to do evil? Make the choice?"

"I believe the Angels probably have freewill themselves"

"Yes, but what gave him the idea in the first place?"

"jealousy, pride he wanted to be like God"

"But where did that come from? Did he make them? the feelings I mean"

"huh... I at first wanted to say probably not, but now I'm rethinking it...
I think he probably created jealousy and pride, that would make sense, since he himself is jealous and has pride"

"But then that would still mean that God created them OH"

"Jealousy and Pride aren't necessarily bad :P"

"Yes! I see now So the good versions of jealousy and pride were corrupted by a lack of God in his heart"

"yes"

"I'd never thought about this before..."

"so sin is the absence of good, like darkness is the absence of light
So God created goodness, and called it good, and freewill is a goodthing, but with it we can choose to ignore goodness leaving us to only evil
So that's how I like to explain sin
I should probably figure out who actually came up with that theory, I think it was Augustine"

"So would you say chaos was absence of God or absence of order?"

"I would say the absence of order and I know that it says somewhere that God orders all things to his will so, everything is ordered :P so does chaos really exist? hehe"

"I think chaos is brought about the same as sin via the absence of God I think of Hell as chaos"

"hmm... I can honestly say I'm not entirely sure :P "

"hehe :P "

"It is interesting though, I'm inclined to think that God is ordering everything, so chaos only seems to exist because we don't understand everything"

"What about witches and demon possessed people?"

"Hell is chaos... huh... that's the big one that's got me thinking :P God still have power over demons :P Jesus told them to come out all the time"

"Yes, but I don't think His presence is there... Do you?"

"no definitely not That's one of the reasons it's so bad, the complete lack of God is the most horrible thing that could happen"

"Well, then that's my definition of chaos.  It's not necessarily absence of order, it's more darkness and depravity"

"So then, maybe chaos doesn't exist on this world?"

"Not in it's true form... I think we can get tastes of it
I think in general the word is overused, but it does exist"

I'm sure you all have already figured all this out, but it was very interesting and fun. :D

Love

I just went and applied at the WB, (a small store near our house) today.  I doubt I'll get the job because they've only had the sign outside their store one day and they've already got about fifty applications.  But, they do know me, which is in my favor.  But on the other hand I'm not even sure I want to job...  I would have to work Wednesday nights, which means I would have to give up choir...  I really really hate that idea...  I know that choir isn't the biggest or most important thing, but it is very important to me.  I'm also not sure that I would be able to play softball this year, which would be really rotten too.  I really really need a job though.  If I could work anywhere I wanted I would choose Exodus.  It would be the coolest most awesome place to work...  The other thing about working at the WB would be that I would be alone at night in that store and a lot of really creepy people go there.  But in the summer it won't get dark so late.  :P Oh, well, I probably won't get the job and I'll go look at the mall again next month.  I would like to work at the mall because then I would be on top of all the good deals, so I could get stuff cheap, then wait a while and sell it for more on Ebay.  :)  I wish I didn't need a job at all though...  That would be so much nicer.

Anyways, I would like some prayer that something will work out soon...

I'm going to spend the night at my Grandma's today along with all the other girls.

Oh, and if you buy something off of the amazon ads I have on my sidebar I will get money!  So :D Yeah, if you want to get something from amazon please keep that in mind.  If I could find a way to generate enough money at home that would be so awesome!  I want to sew a bunch and sell dresses and stuff online.  I would looove it if I could do that.  :)

Anyhow, my Grandma's here now, so I need to go.  :)

  Love ya!

So, I filled out my thing to get registered to vote. :) Finally

Today was choir. <3 We're working on this new song, and it is SUPER HARD! I think this is the most trouble I've ever had with choir. But it's nice to have something really hard. I haven't since I lost my voice teacher. :(

Oh, btw, what do you think of the new blog colors? I felt like changing things around just a bit. :)

Posted in Daily Life

I'm feeling very discouraged and tired right now...  I didn't get the Pumpkin Patch job because I didn't have enough retail experience...  I need a job to get retail experience, I need retail experience to get a job.  I need a job to get a car, I need a car to get a job.  I need a job to get money, I need money to get a job.... !!!  I am so frustrated!

I want to get a condo and share it with Forrest.  A girl friend and I can have one half and Forrest and one of his guy friends can have the other half.  I don't want to rent though.  I feel like renting would just be dumping money into a black hole.  So I need to get a down payment and get my credit up.  It's a kind of a farfetched plan, but I don't think it's unnatainable...

I really like this video right now.  :)  It makes me happy, and I think this girl would have made a better Bella than Bella did.  :P

Search & Win

Swagbucks is a search engine like google.  But when you use it you can earn points.  For example, I just searched "Minimum wage in Oregon" and got four swagbucks.  You can redeem them for prizes and cool things.  And if you let us be your refferer then whenever you get a point we would get a point too.  Which would be awesome. :D  Then you can reffer people and get points from them and so on.  It's really cool.  :D

OH MY GOSH I AM SO SAD!!! :'(   We recently watched the very last Doctor Who with David Tennant as the Doctor...  *sniff sniff*

Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket

Great sadness and mourning throughout the land.  David Tennant was the all time best ever Doctor.  I cried so hard at the last couple episodes...  Not that that's anything ubt anyone could ever live up to his standard.  It's sooo sad...  :'(  I think he combined the three other best Doctors, Tom Baker, Peter Davidson, and Christopher Eccelston.  Ugh I'm watching old David Tennant episodes... so sad... :'(

Please pray that I'll find a job very soon.....

Love, Shay

Well, I'm going back to the mall tomorrow... Or should I say today. :P I guess it is past midnight. :P Blech. I was up this late last night too... Mama wants me to go back to Pumpkin Patch and be pushy about getting that job. *sigh* I don't want to be pushy, but I do want a job.

We had choir practice earlier tonight. I <3 Choir. But you already know that. :P I should sleep... Blaaaah... My brain has been feeling fuzzy and unfocused lately. Which is also normal, but it's been even worse than usual.

I doubt I'm being coherent anymore. I'm going to go to bed now. Andy C is spending the night here and Scott will be here at seven, so lets see how much sleep I get tonight. I hope it will be more than the four and a half I got last night. :P

Goodnight, Good-morning, and love to you all. :)

Oh, please pray that I get a job very very soon...

I had my first job interview today. It was ok for a first I guess. :P I think that if I could get a job at Pumpkin Patch. It sounds like they're really flexible with what days you can work. So I don't think that me not being able to work on Sundays will be a problem. :D

Please pray that I'll get the job... :)
