• Mar. 24, 2008 - Happy Late Easter : )

Last week F and I gave the other kids an Easter Egg hunt.  My Grandma used to do it but she doesn't want to anymore.  F had a lot of fun hiding the eggs.  He was really creative in the way he did it.  He decorated out apple tree with them and it looked really nice.  I would have taken pictures but we didn't have it here.  It's so much fun watching the youngest kids look for them.  They are so cute! :-D

I think last Thursday was the first day of Spring wasn't it?  I just love Spring in Oregon.  I love all of the cherry trees that bloom around our house and on our way to Church.  I love all of the seasons and whichever one we are in at the time is my favorite.  They each have something beautiful and interesting about them.

A family at our Church has just lent us a mandolin and I'm going to learn to play it (or try anyway...). I was inspired by all of the Nickel Creek videos. Especially "Smoothie Song".  I did want to learn violin, but there are already two other people in our family who are learning it and only one other person going to learn mandolin, plus it looks easier, so I decided on that one.

Someone just sent me this joke and I thought it was funny... : )

" 'Mr. and Mrs. Clinton went on a flight tour of England. This was a private plane and they and the pilot were the only people on the plane. As they passed over a very poor part of England Mrs. Clinton said 'I’m going to throw 5 one dollar bills out the window and make 5 people happy.' She then threw 5 one dollar bills and made 5 people happy. Now Mr. Clinton seeing this said 'I can do better, I will throw 10 one dollar bills out the window and make 10 people happy' He then threw out 10 one dollar bills and made 10 people happy. Now the pilot was hearing all of this. Mrs. Clinton said 'Oh ya beat this, I'm going to throw 25 one dollar bills out the window and make 25 people happy.' She then threw 25 one dollar bills out and made 25 people happy. Now Mr. Clinton said 'That’s nothing I will throw out 50 one dollar bills and make 50 people happy.' He then threw 50 one dollar bills out the window and made 50 people happy. Now the pilot turned around and said, 'I will throw both of you out the window and make EVERYBODY happy!!!' "

Playing the Mandolin sounds like fun! I wish I had time to learn another instrument, but my schedule is sooo full! Piano and choir and voice...sheesh! Not to mention school and all that.

I know, I wanted Huckabee to win so bad... I really don't know much about Obama, so I don't know whether I'd choose him over McCain or not. Anything but Hillary, though, I know that... Maybe Huckabee will run again.
Yes, I love Wodehouse books! Aren't they so funny? I don't know if I've read all the Jeeves ones; he wrote 80+ books, so I rather doubt it, but I've read a bunch. Have you read any he wrote about Blandings castle?
What other styles of books do you like to read?
God Bless,
Christina

I know, time is always a big issue! I do hope you have time to learn it, though.

Thank you, I like your blog, too! To get the special font in the title I found the 'blog title' section in my template, and replaced the 'Verdana' font with 'Papyrus'. If your email server has lots of special fonts, you can find one you like and just replace the previous font in your template with that one. They all have their special names, like Curlz MT, etc.
I hope that makes sense!

thanks. :) It's a picture that was taken by one of my best friends, she went to Disney World and they have these places that look like places. Make sence? She took it in the United Kingdom section. :) Since I'm going there on a mission trip this summer there. So it's very special that she took a picture of it for me. :)

Glad your weekend went well. :) Mine went by so fast. I was busy and yet I didn't really do anything... I don't like those days.

I like how you used the fancy font! You might want to make it a different color, though, because I can't see the words in front of the pictures. It looks really good overall!

• Apr. 2, 2008 - Clinton jokes

Hey cokeandpearls! Oregon sounds awesome. Now I want to go there! lol I also "lol-ed" at the Clinton joke. I heard one the other day too....

Hillary Cliton became President and immediatly started to panic.
On her first night in the Whitehouse, she walked down the hall and came saw the ghost of George Washington. "Oh George Washington!" she cried, "Tell me, what can I do to better serve my country?" "Never tell a lie." He answered. "Eww. I don't like that idea." And she walked on.
She came to the ghost of Thomas Jefferson. "Oh Thomas Jefferson! What can I do to better serve my country?" "Listen to the people." He replied. "Nah. I like my ideas better." So, she walked on...
Then at last she came to the ghost of Abe Linclon. "Oh Abraham Linclon! What can I do to be a better president?" He looked her in the eye and calmly stated ...."Go to the theater." Lol!
Well, I thought it was funny. ;) Ttyl!
