Exodus Provisions

The cliffs of insanity are very close now.

• May. 21, 2008 - Recital

Well, we went to the recital.  I'm not really sure how I did.  I know I didn't sing loud enough on some of them.  Especially "Tonight".  The low notes are really hard for me to sing loudly.  But here they are, in order, for your consideration. : )  "Se Tu Ma'mi", "Tonight", and "Lascia Chio'Pianga".  Our camera is no good so the quality isn't very good.

I was so nervous my knees were knocking together and my voice trembled quite a bit.  But I wasn't nearly as nervous as I was last time.  I really love singing.  I just wish I could get over how much stage fright I get.  It's very frustrating.

The person who got the real applause that night was another girl who also takes music lessons from my teacher.  She did a song from "Oklahoma", but I can't remember the name of it.  She did a VERY good job.  She had this whole act thing to go with her song.  I wish I had gotten a recording of it, but it wouldn't have shown up on our camera really at all.

I will be singing "Lascia Chio'Pianga" for graduation too.  I really like that song.  But my favorite song that I've learned so far is "Tonight".  I wish I could sing louder for it.  But I really enjoy singing it.

 Blessings

  Rose

You sound lovely in the videos! I'm sorry about stage fright.... I could be a comedian if I thought that was appropriate but it wouldn't work anyways because I don't do good in front of people! lol

It's about.. wow. Actually I think I'll just write what's on the back of the book. :)

" It was shadow.

A dark mass that was both visible and invisible, opaque and transparent — a shadow with dimension — darkness with volume. An ominous sound of hushed mutters seemed to sigh out from within the darkness itself as the Hunter continued to expand it. The misty shadows stretched forth, as if to get a feel for the surroundings.

This was where the Dark Ones got their name….

For over fifty years, a war has been raging. Threatened by the Dark Ones, Man has agreed to a system of partnerships, forming a new way of life with phoenixes, winged horses, and dragons.

Children are taught at a young age to fight for what is right and to trust in the One. As war ravages the land, eight children will learn how to defend themselves, their friends, families, and homelands.

The son of a king, the daughter of a queen, a descendant of an underground fighter, and a child of the forest will choose four others and unite, unwittingly setting a prophecy in motion as the Dark Ones initiate a new offensive.

Will the eight be able to halt this advancement, or will more of the world fall into darkness? "

If you want to look more into it her site has all of it.

You have a really good voice! I'm glad your recital went well!

Mexico is a gorgeous country! The mountains are, anyway! It was an amazing trip! I'll be posting about it soon!

Yep, there are 50 people (give or take) in my choir!

I want to hear you sing, but I'm not supposed to go on youtube. I bet you sound lovely, though! Do you sing high or low or in the middle...??? I sing too, but my voice isn't a purty voice- its the type of voice that can yell "dinnertime" loud enough to be heard in the back forty. Okay so that is exaggerated a little; I can't sing very high, but I can sing fairly strong, if that is the word I am looking for.

I did post again- sorry! If I had a nickel for every good intention of mine, I'd at least have change for a dime.

I just realized this week that if McCain gets sick or something, I believe Huckabee is next in line. Still a miniscule chance... ;-) I think McCain has a history of melanoma, too.

I read my first Agatha Christie book recently. It was you who said you read them, right? I liked it, it was pretty good.

God Bless,
Christina
