We have had unseasonably snowy and cold weather this year in November and
December.  When it snows my boys beg to go out and play in it.  One of the joys of homeschooling is that you can do just that and not feel guitly thay are not getting enough schooling done.  Since we school year round we can stop and smell the roses or ( in this case) play in the snow!
