These are some of the birds we've seen around here, mostly in march. The top ones were juncos and the bottom ones flickers. The flicker was hammering right around my big picture window in the living room. We also get a lot of sparrows. Last year I got a lot more. It's probably getting to be about that time to put out hummingbird feeders, but we just have the bear issues...

Love the change in your blog! I miss seeing footprints in the snow! Very cool that you can observe the birds so closely. Our wildflower garden is almost in bloom and we are seeing a steady return of birds and hopefully the butterflies will be here soon.
I forgot all about bird footprints in the snow. Wow has it been that long since we have had a lasting snow?!?! I hope you have a blessed weekend.
Blessings,
Dawn
I was just telling Mary how much I love watching birds. You guys are blessed to have such a good many of them in your mountains!
Jenn
PS, I forgot that you had this blog! Sorry!
Great minds think alike ! You and I posted on the birds that have visited us ! [0= You would have thought we planned it. hee he.
I am soooooooooooooo impressed with you. I tried to take pics of the Juncos when they were here and couldn't. They were way TOO skiddish. I love your pics but I have to say my fav. is the first one.
I love your bird pictures, although not the snow anymore! Makes me want to put out feeders but since a few cats decided to take up residence here birds are more scarce at least close to the house. I always do look forward to our little hummingbird coming back every spring.
Wow, do you still have snow? I love watching the winter birds dig out the seeds from our balcony feeders. Mostly chickadees and bluejays. We only use the balcony feeders when the bears are out, too.
Thanks for the comment. I have had a few crisis' happen lately. My poor garden is getting a bit neglected. (already!)
I'm trying but things are so difficult. We didn't make it quite as large as I had planned but instead my husband told me to wait on such a large garden. Thank God, with the way things have been going. I'm so happy to have school end for the summer. Well, okay, so we actually school our children all the time. I'm happy to end the academics! We really need a break!!! Life is getting CRAZY!
I love the bird pics you have on here.
I was soooooo happy to hear from a blog friend. I miss you all so much.
I'll take the advice from you about doing the Woman's Day book. I forgot about that :)
