May. 20, 2008 - Posted While Baby Sitting
At the moment I am at Lexylou9's house baby sitting, but, since the kids are in bed, I thought this would be a good time to update my blog. Hmmm... where to begin? Ah, yes! First of all, I have some very important news, just today I realized that my tadpoles, who, by the way, I never told you guys about, didn't have names. Not that I can actually tell them apart, but as living, moving things, I felt that they should have some names, so I have named the Farelith, and Camden, like I said, it's not that I can tell them apart, I just felt that they should have names, and Celtic ones at that.
Ok, sorry, I'm back, I took a break to read Altariel's rather long post, when Lexy came down stairs (when she's supposed to be in bed) to get the phone, so she could set the alarm on it to get up in the morning. She stopped however, when she saw me on HSB, to inquire if that was my blog I was looking at. I replied in the negative, and she, scrolling up remarked "Whoa, that's scary." I asked her what was scary, hoping beyond hoping she did not mean Altariels fine template, and she replied, "That picture." "That picture" just happened to be a picture of Tinuviel (the elf from Middle-Earth, not Tinuviel) Needless to say, I quickly informed her that that was an elf she was speaking of, and the most beautiful one ever, at that, and she asked if she "had a lot of boy friends." I wanted to say "No, only one true love" but you can not explain these sort of things to Lexy, so I contented myself with, "No, go to bed." But she continued, "What does she have" she wanted to know, and after she learned that she had Baren, she wanted to know who he was, and after I told her that he was a mortal, she wanted to know if he was happy. I wasn't sure how to answer that, considering that he was forbidden to marry Tinuviel at first (it feels really weird to type "he was forbidden to marry Tinuviel" by the way) so I just said, "I don't know, go to bed!" and she departed. I just had to tell you guys, imagine an elf having a lot of boy friends! If you can that is! I know I can't, well, maybe Arwen in the movie...
Well, since I don't really have any more to say, and since the people I'm baby siting for will be back within five minutes, I should probably get going, beanachd leibh! (Gaelic for good bye) ~ Katie

Haha, that's really funny! Modern kids are hilarious, in a sad sort of way. Of course, as we were saying, she probably would have had hundreds of suitors. There was Daeron... that's right, isn't it? Daeron? I can never remember... I could always ask Tinuviel, she's sure to know! ;)
I laughed out loud over the movie Arwen comment. What can you expect expect from a LotR movie character, after all? ;) Actually, probably even movie Arwen would have a bit more discretion than that - if only because she was afraid of her scary daddy!
I don't think I've been spending enough time with you or Queen Flora, as I don't do any of those things. I think I will start calling movie Faramir Rean-Hammon, though! It's confusing to call him Faramir, as he certainly isn't the same guy as book Faramir, so I guess Rean-Hammon is as good a name as any! Do you suppose that, seeing as they are so alike, Peter Jackson might have got them mixed up and accidentally put Rean-Hammon in his movie instead of Faramir? That would explain why Movie Faramir isn't a bit like Book Faramir at all! You know, that could be the answer! You're a genius, Katie!
*chuckles* Ok, I'm getting carried away. I had better move on...
It was great to chat to you today! I really should go on AIM one of these afternoons... next time I catch you online we should try t get Tinuviel on, and we can do a group chat again!
I really do need to brush up on my gaelic... I've practically forgotten everything I learned from lack of practice... *blushes* I can't even spell gaelic properly! I keep spelling it garlic! *shakes head*

Tadpoles! I remember we had about thirty of them in a fishbowl five years ago or so. Only three of them became frogs, though, and we set them free when they did.
