Feb. 15, 2009 - Isle of Hope - Part One
Well this is going to be a short post, and I'll probably split this story into three or four different entries. There's just too much to say in one.
Well, the short of it is that last night my family, Sylvia and I got to go see Celtic Woman Isle of Hope, their new national tour. The long of it is this:
Yesterday morning couldn't go quickly enough for me. I was board with nothing to do, and my family was getting rather stressed/wound up/grumpy (I was the first and the last :D We don't cope with free days with nothing to do very well...) all I wanted was to get ready and go to the concert, in my new outfit. I finally got my wish about four o'clock when I started getting ready to go.
We picked up Sylvia at about 5, or 5:15. Then we went to Target where my mom exchanged some shoes for the little girls, and then to Chipotle for dinner. Dinner was good (I love that place!) and Maddie, Sylvia and I got to sit at the window seat while the rest of my family sat at a table because it was so crowded. I'm not kidding when I say that everyone who couldn't get a date last night went to Chipotle for dinner. After that we drove down to the theater, blaring Celtic Woman in the car the whole way there! :D
We had fun in the car for the next hour, singing along and talking excitedly about the concert. And then we got into the city where they were playing. My dad quickly found the theater, and then began looking for a parking space, that was when we saw it. Before I continue I would like to say, no, "it" was not one of the Celtic Women, but it was their trailer bus! Maddie and Sylvia started screaming, and I would have, had I not been on the phone with Sylvia's mom, (who wanted to talk to some one "with sense" :D) so I got my scream in after I got off of the phone. My dad parked the car and we began our walk into the theater, with me skipping around in my high heel shoes like Mairead Nesbit. :D
Even the walk to the theater was fun, with Maddie, Sylvia, Carrie and I walking in a row, linking arms (well actually, I was holding Carrie's hand because she was too, um, petiete, to link arms with us :D) We were all giggling insanely and totally excited. We got to see the trailer bus again, and got a picture next to the semi-truck that moves their props from place to place. I promise I'll post the pictures tomorrow. Then we got into the theater, and were able to take a quick look at the souvenirs before finding our seats and sitting down.
Just as we sat down, the lights dimmed, and the soft, brightly colored show lights came on. I could dimly see a young woman standing on the stage, who I guessed to be Mairead Nesbit. Sylvia and I held hands, squeezing each other tight in excitement, and the woman began to play her violin.
To be continued.

Hello Katie,
Okay, I've been wondering about this long enough -- are you Luthien Tinuviel over at Kingdom's Quest??? *grin* I don't have an account over there, but I check in over there frequently to see if Briggs has posted an update.
Or maybe you have no idea what I'm talking about. LOL.

OH!!! I totally wish it was last week!! Just think... 7 days ago we would be walking down a hallway to get inside the actuall theater, and be sitting down to hear the one of the most beautiful group of girl sing to us!!!! Oh! The temptation to build a time machine is VERY tempting!!! :)
Love for your DCS. :)

Oh! Did you really? I am so excited! I'll read them straight away!!! :) And I know, getting out chapters is sometimes extremely hard. Oh well. You got them out, that is what matters.
As for my story... I've worked on it and completed the third chapter, made my way into the forth. However, last week I was struck with the idea for a second story, which has taken over a bit, so I wrote the prologue and first chapter to that. Might be awhile, but I will make a blog. Sometime. *grin*
Thanks for telling me!

Goodie! I'm so glad! I really enjoy your writing style, you need to write more! Practice makes perfect, yeah? All of that good stuff. *beams at you*
If I did make a blog for either story, The Prophecy being more likely than Unearthly Inhabitant at the moment, would you maybe be willing to help me with the layout? I get by with that, but it is never as nice as I would like it to be. *SIGH*
You certainly don't have to, but it would be cool and appreciated if you could help. :) Even if it is just advice or tips or something. ^^
*hugs*

Greetings, fellow authoress! My name is Laurie, but feel free to call me anything you want, including my fantasy name, Aradelle. My username is misleading. I'm really not that into horses....I was young and rash when I called myself that.
Anyway, to the point. Cherise has been killing me for months because I have not met you yet. Now that I'm really truely getting serious about writing, I've been having to go around and meet everybody. It's been rathuh entertaining. Everybody is soo interesting...
Um...what else...Oh yes, I am trying to work on my trilogy, of which I have posted nothing yet...and I'm still on the outline for the first book. Cherise is making me do it. Not that I'm not willing. I know I need it, but I can't wait till it's done and I can really WRITE!!! We'll see how long it takes...*grimaces*
Anywho, wouldja like tuh be friends?

Wow! Lots of comments! *grin*
Let's see....
First off, YAY! I'll read chapter six straight away! And you are very welcome! You motivated me, by my motivating you, to write more of my chapter four tonight! Thank you! *hugs*
Now...
I think I just need an idea, really. I want a main account with two blogs, one for each story. And then I need a layout that matches the theme. *scratches head* I can do colors and backgrounds and things, but I am totally not HTML savvy, so.... Any help would be appreciated. I'll let you know when I make the account (am thinking I will tonight).
As for the webbie, I'll check it out! Sounds cool!

*grin* My writing blog is SFFauthoress. I have both blogs on there, and backgrounds put up, so... Just to let you know. I will friend you.
Sometimes you just can't write! Don't feel bad, I know the feeling. Sometimes I do not touch my story for days before working on it REALLY hard and getting a lot done. If you have 24,000 words, and need 6,000 more... That should be relatively easy. :) Just work super, super hard and I am sure you will get it done between today and tomorrow! Do not fret, I have faith in you.
Still, I cannot believe the amount of sleep you get. I would die. Getting up at five? I can hardly manage seven! *dies*
I told you what I thought of Audra; if you want crit from me, then when you update I will be less hesitant to give you some. Alright? (Btw, it's accept. 'He accepted her gift'. Not except. I caught that the last chapter.)
Oh! A code would be wonderful! I have the backgrounds I want, I just need to change the colors of the pink sidebar and get in some pictures and change the font... ANY help would be more than appreciated! *smile* Once the blog is tidied up, then I'll begin posting. And that is fine. Take your time, I'll wait.
I love Ireland and Scotland too! *dreamy sigh*
