Feb. 4, 2009 - February Madness
I was just to In Word, and seeing that there was still no update, said aloud, "ugh, Beth needs to update." And then I noticed that I haven't updated in probably a longer time. :)
Well, Februay Madness is off to a good start, well, pretty good. I'm not behind, so that is good, actually I am over 400 words ahead. But I had a fairytalish wish of a dream to stay close behind Cherise, a dream which has proven just that. A dream, and nothing more. Go figure. Actually I am hoping to catch close behind her this weekend, but don't tell her! ;)
I wanted to get to 6,000 words today, by my wonderful, beloved, most awesome writing tool, Write or Die, has been down all day! *cries* I just cannot write without it, like I can with it!
In other news, I have abandoned the 364 day challenge. :'(
I love photography, and I want to get better, but I don't love it that much. It was just too much. When I have free time I want to be chatting with my friends, calling my friends, texting, writing or spending time with friends and family. Photography just doesn't make the high priority list, so I have stopped, though I do want to make an effort to post more picutures, just not one everyday. :)
But that's about all I have time for, my mother is sending me to bed. *sighs* God bless!

Jan. 31, 2009 - Inspiration just in time, and the return of the duo
I don't usually post two posts in one day, but I had to tell you about this!
Molly and I have decided to combine our worlds again! The differences in writing style that erupted this summer have now dwindled away (remind me to thank out friend for that, Molly!), and since we miss writing together, we've decided to go back to the way it was. :D
I'm so excited. When me and Molly were writing together we always read each others work, and having a partner made it interesting. We were always trying to out do the other one, which sounds weird, but really it gave us a reason to write. An incentive. And since we both knew the plot, there was always someone to help when one of our sub-plots was not working.
And it was just special. It was nice to know that I wasn't alone. I wasn't struggling though my own little world all alone. I had someone by my side, no matter what the characters did. And I miss that. That's why I'm so happy to have Molly back as my co-author. *hugs Molly* I love you!
Since talking with Molly I have become so inspired, too! Our two stories fit together like a glove, and it took very little change! Both characters need to get away from their country for a bit, so even though they are from different countries, them meeting makes perfect sense! And they are already becoming fast friends! They even go through similar problems, and we haven't even changed much of their plot! *is very excited*
Callan did know what he was doing! *is proud of her character*
Ok, now that I have this posted, I am off to fix some stuff I promised Molly I would. We need it for tomorrow, for tomorrow is the start of February madness!
*runs off to Google Docs*

Jan. 31, 2009 - Last day of freedom
Well here it is, my last day of freedom before February Madness begins. And I am still flip-flopping between dreadful of it, and apprehensive.
Sometimes I hate my story and don't ever want to write it again. I think of how badly the main girl, and even Callan a bit, have been behaving, and I just want to pitch it out the window and start a new story. But I can't. Firstly because if I don't finish it eventually Heather won't publish Despair and Hope. Secondly because if I don't finish it in February Maddock won't speak to me for all of March. And thirdly because Callan deserves to be known. I love him, and really, he isn't that bad!
But there are times that I begin to look forward to writing TCN. I start to think of how this time it will not be like the last times of writing it. I learned a lot in November, and I am not going to try to squeeze my characters into a mold that they don't fit in, just for the sake of a plot, like I did before. I think that if I let them have their own way, and just tag along that they should lead me to finish this book, and finish it well.
Like a child stuck in a burring house, unable to see for the smoke, clinging to her dog. The child can't see anything, and doesn't know where her dog is taking her. She's terrified, but she doesn't let go, and the dog, who knew all along how to get out, leads her to safety, to the clean air outside. That is what I am hoping will happen here.
So basically I have no idea what shall happen in this book. I have the ultimate ending planned out, and I am going to use it. (I will sink to a bit of squeezing here. This ending must be used! It is too cool!) But I don't know how this book will happen. Callan has decided that he wants to be GOOD, but I might have one book where he gets to know Jarldis first, and then the GOOD book will come after. I know, shocking. I'm just trying to find out what Callan and, more particularly, Jarldis, want. And I am getting tired of worrying about how the romance is progressing. It would be so reliving to write a book where I don't have to worry about that. But we'll see. It's Callan, Jarldis and the other characters who are deciding what is to happen. I just write what they tell me. :D

Jan. 30, 2009 - Dreading and apprehensive about February
Oh this is great!
I just got on to post, and I realized that Fire Fox is all messed up on my computer. For some weird reason it won't let me type anything in for a new post. The text box is gone. This is very weird, and annoying, because now I have to use Safari (the Mac browser) and it is paragraph challenged. Whenever me or my sister use this, it turns all the text into one large block, but I'm hoping that's just because it's stuck on source. That would also explain the absence of the editing tools at the top.
Well, on with the post, anyway.
This is my second to last free day before February Madness starts. February Madness is a challenge that me, Mariella, Cherise, Molly, Anna and Heather have entered into. It is basically NaNoWriMo on a smaller scale; the goal is 30,000 words, instead of 50,000. But if that isn't a enough, I promised Heather that I would finish TCN in February, and she said that if I don't, Maddock won't speak to me anymore. Which would be horrible. I must finish this stupid story this month!
Why "stupid" you ask? Because I hate this book. It could probably be pretty cool if only the characters would make up their minds to follow my awesome plots! But, of course, they, liking to be difficult, and liking to revolt against me even when they have no cause to, flatly refuse to do as I say. I must say I find it rather ungrateful. "After all I have done. After all that I do" for them, they revolt for no good reason!
It's because of this that the plot has changed so much, and it's because it's changed so much that I hate it, I think. I'm tired of trying to figure out what my characters want, and I'm tired of re-writing, and writing, and re-writing for a year with my only accomplishment happening in November with a different story! I want this book finished, but I can't bare to write anymore of it! That's why, as much as I complain, I am glad for Heather's challenge. I know that no matter who beats me to the 30,000, TCN will be finished in February, and then I can forget about it for several months before I fix it up and edit it. *sighs at the thought* That will be nice!
So anyway, I am dreading writing TCN, and any prayers would be great! I have to finish this story once and for all! "Now we come to it, the great battle of our time." And it happens to be between an insane young authoress, and her d sooooo difficult characters.
~ Katie
Edit: Woo hoo! Safari made paragraphs! *is proud of her Safari browser's newest accomplishment.

Jan. 28, 2009 - Writing
Well, I feel like posting, but there isn't much to say, really.
I'm working on fixing my NaNoWriMo novel for the rest of this month, and then in February I am going to work on the first draft of my non-NaNoWriMo novel, which currently is nameless. I have been writing, re-writing, fixing and re-creating this book, and it's plot for over a year now, and I am sick of it. I want it done, but I'm just so tired of writing it! If it wasn't for my dear SOS (Sweet Older Sister), Heather's threat about Maddock not speaking to me for all of March if I don't finish it in February, I probably wouldn't have the perseverance to continue with it.
But at least I have three days (four, counting today, which has just begun) to work on Audra. I'm hoping to be able to write five pages a day, which would give me and extra two chapters, for a grand total of five fixed chapters. I have to add so much to this story, it's not even funny. I almost completely wrote the second chapter anew, and the third chapter was completely new. Now I am finding that I have at least seven chapters that I have to write completely anew, every, single world, and I'm not very excited about it. Yeah, it will be interesting to watch the two MCs get to know each other, but I still prefer fixing stuff I've already wrote to writing new stuff for the book.
Well, that's about it for now, God bless!

Jan. 21, 2009 - Last day of Blogoweek and 200 Comments!
![]()
Yup, what better way to end Blogoweek than with my two-hundredth comment? Today Cherise posted two-hundredth comment (and it was about time, too, I was waiting all day yesterday!)
But Blogoweek is done, and though I think I shall do it again sometime, it won't be for a while, because I want to focus on my writing. I haven't written more than 400 words a day for over a week, and I have to finish this book. Therefore in February I shall be competing with Cherise, Mariella and Molly to see who can get to 30,000 words first.
And here is the link to my self portrait
. I don't like it as much as the other ones, but I couldn't think of anything really good, so oh well!

Jan. 20, 2009 - Inaugural poem
Well my mom made me and my sisters watch the inauguration today. It was rather a sorrowful time for my family. Besides being republicans, George W. Bush was the only president I could really remember. And McCain and Palin were the first two candidates that I liked for themselves, not just because my parents were for them, I mean.
The inaugural poem only made matters worse. Having a poet at the inauguration is all fine and dandy, but couldn't President Obama get a decent one? After watching it twice (because Maddie had missed it) I thought I would cry if I had to hear it one, more, time! I wanted to throw a pillow at the TV and scream "blend your words together, already!"
Other than that my day has been pretty good, I even got to post the first chapter of my NaNoWriMo novel, Audra, my story blog (make sure you're signed in, or you can't see it. Friends only, you know), and post my self portrait of the day on Flickr.
Well, I'm watching Biggest Loser right now, so I better go. Hope everyone has a good rest of the day!

Jan. 19, 2009 - Nothing....
I have nothing to say. I've been working on school work and a new template most of today, so I haven't much to say.
I started a story blog earlier, but I haven't posted anything yet, I'm working on a template. Here is the link. Audra

Jan. 18, 2009 - Plumbing and Music
Well I can't get on the computer right now, so I am writing this in a note book, and I'll post it later. If this doesn't get posted until tomorrow, I'll change the date, and it still counts as today!
Well my dad has been working on the plumbing all day, and I don't even really know what's wrong with it. I know the shower was leaking, but he's replaced the laundry room sink in the basement, and frankly, I don't see how they're connected.
Any way, despite the cause, he had to turn the water off, which meant we had to turn the heat off, since our furnace needs water to run. Luckily, the water was able to be turned on again before the house got too cold.
Now we're just waiting for my dad to finish up so we can go out to diner. I'm gong to get ready to go soon, but part of my outifit is fluffing up in the dryer, so I took the time to paint my nails and "post" while I wait.
In other news, I used some of the money/change I found in my room while cleaning it yesterday to buy some more songs from iTunes for my iPod. I only got five, which, believe it or not, is very few for me. I raresly buy less than ten at a time. I got:
Frozen Oceans by Shiny Toy Guns
Magical World and Writing on the Wall by Blackmore's Night (I love that band!
Harry's Game by Celtic Woman
and Long Long Journey by Enya.
Sadly, I am running out of songs I like by Enya. I have all but about twenty of hers, and most of those twenty are her "piano compositions" which I find rather dull.
Well that's about it, except that I have decided to try the 365 self portrait thing that's been going around Flickr, and I challange Svenja to do it too. It'll be good for her photo blog (if she ever sets it up *hint hint*) You can check my Flickr account for today's picture.

Jan. 17, 2009 - A great battle and a couple random quotes
Well, today my mom and I attacked the vast pit of dirt, grunge and filth otherwise known as my room. It was a long, hard battle, but we managed to defeat the enemy mess, with no losses. Victory! This room, has been reclaimed, for Katie! *characters all echo "for Katie! For Katie!" We started the great battle at around noon, and finished at around four.
It was a lot of hard work, I had four large drawers, one small desk drawer, four large baskets that fit under my bed, and my closet to go through. That meant, tons of papers, old story stuff, note books, purses, letters and clothes to go through, but mostly papers, which I hate sorting! It took a while, but texting my SOS (Sweet Older Sister) aka Heather aka MaidenCapitolaBaillot made the time go faster. :D
By the time my mom and I were finished cleaning my room, we had been working for about four hours, which meant, of course, that I had been chatting with Heather for four hours.
"Why don't you just call her?" my mom asked me.
I was about to explain why not, when I realized that I really didn't have a reason, and so went off to call her. An hour later I finally got off the phone, and after chatting with some friends online for a little bit, went off to have dinner.
Now I've had dinner and I'm sitting at the computer staring at the screen, wondering what to write. Actually, I wouldn't even be posting right now if Molly were available to talk, but alas, she is at church. Oh woe is me!
Maybe later tonight I'll work on getting my playlist up, or just wait until I have a new template, we'll see...

Jan. 16, 2009 - More NaNoWriMo Thoughts...
I'm tired. And I don't particularly feel like posting, but post I must.
Well, besides being attacked by my rabbit, who thought up an escape plan worthy of his namesake, and going to my cousins house for his birthday, nothing much has happened today. Right now I'm watching Prince Caspian with my little sisters, wishing I could write, but I'm too tired. Maybe I'll try and edit some of my NaNoWriMo novel...
Speaking of that, I realized something the other day. Audra, the MC in my NaNoNovel, is a really awesome character! And then I realized, that she's actually unintentionally based after myself! I've always wanted to base a character after myself, and one would think I could write myself, but I can't. They've always turned out immature, spoiled, selfish little things, and I hated them!
But this time, I didn't set out to base her after myself, and I didn't try to make her all goofy with her heads in the clouds, dancing and singing all the time. I made her more like my quite, thoughtful, wishful side, which shows it's self more rarely, and I actually like her! I am pleasantly surprised, and thoroughly pleased! Until tomorrow!

Jan. 15, 2009 - Blogoweek and thoughts on NaNoWriMo
Well I am aware that this blog is need of another post, and a template I might add, but you'll just have to wait for that one!
Well, what to write about? I guess I shall write about NaNoWriMo, since it has been on my mind a lot lately.
I'm still unsure as to how exactly I finished NaNoWriMo, it's all kind of a big blur, but during that month I did things I struggle with. Take writin g about daily life, for instance, I'm struggling with that in TCN at the moment. I feel like I'm droning on endlessly, without going anywhere, like I'm boring the readers (if I had any readers, that is). But during November I not only wrote and enjoyed writing daily life, when I look back at it now, I realize that it was actually good! And I'm still not sure how I did that. I wish I did, I wish I could do it again. I feel as if I had superpowers for one month, and now I'm back to normal, and writing is hard again. If I had my way, NaNoWriMo would be every other month, if that were true I could write six novels consisting of 300,000 words a year. How cool would that be?
But if I can't have NaNoWriMo every other month, I can at least edit the novel I wrote while I had it, which is probably what I should be doing now... *ponders this*
Before I leave though, I would like to say that I will be participating in Blogoweek, which seems to have taken HSB by storm, and I am challenging Molly to do it too, weather she excepts my challenge or not is completely up to her.
Slán go fóill! ("Goodbye for now" in Gaelic)

Jan. 3, 2009 - New Years Resolutions
Well I saw that Cherise posted her New Years resolutions on her blog, and since I thought it was such a good idea, I am stealing it. :D
First of all, there is of course,
1. Meet Heather.... again.
2. Meet Beth for the first time :D
3. Finish TCN (this one is not negotiable)
4. Win NaNoWriMo 2009 (another nonnegotiable one)
5. Spend less time on the computer (instead of chatting with Heather, I'll call her on the phone! :P)
6. Get through at least one round of editing Despair and Hope
7. Get through at least one round of editing my nameless NaNo Novel...
Well, that's all I have, I think, and anyway I have to go help take down the Christmas tree (I hate that...). Have a good day!

Dec. 3, 2008 - *sings "I'm freeeeeeeeee"*
Well November is over, and I want to just sum up what my month was like real quick. The Author Tag Do you have a pen/pencil collection? Not really, I can't manage to keep track of them that long... Do you prefer handwriting or typing furiously? I like typing usually, but sometimes it's nice to write by candle light, especially on a rainy or snowy night. The only problem is that then I have to try and read my own handwriting when I type it up... How often do you get inspiration? Very randomly, depends on what I've been reading/listening to/watching and the weather, that can help inspire me a lot. It also depends on if Molly or Heather have Alana, though... Are you blogging this on a computer or laptop? Black Beauty, my laptop Do you get inspiration more in the early morning or late at night? Late at night, I love to sit by my window and write when it's raining or snowing, and even if it's not. I also tend to get a lot of inspiration when I'm tired and trying to fall asleep, very annoying I keep having to get out of bed and write my ideas down Do certain movies/books/music inspire you? Enya's music, Maidens IV Blackmore's Night Celtic Woman, the Hemlock stories, Jane Austen's works, Molly's writing, Prince Caspian the movie and The Lord of the Rings How do you incorporate God into your stories? I try to write for God, and every time I pray I pray that he will guide my hands as I type and my pen as I write. But my stories aren't very spiritual, more like Jane Austen's works. The morals, and the values are there, but it doesn't mention God much. Some of you may think this is wrong, or at least not very good, but I've prayed about it a lot and believe that this is what God wants me to do. Do you kill off your villains or make them repent? Kill them. Usually by the hero does it. Is the majority of your characters magical beings, humans or halflings? Or something else? Mostly humans, though I am beginning to add more more nymphs, though they're not main characters. What genre of writing are you most comfortable in? If you were to step out of your comfort zone, what would you write? I like writing fantasy, if I were to step out of my comfort zone I would probably do historical fiction Do you work better alone or with someone else? I really enjoyed working with Molly for the time that I did, but out two different writing styles made it difficult, and since we split up it's been really fun working alone. I like having absolute power. Do your stories make sense, or do they ramble wildly? I hope they make sense! Are your characters mostly Renegades, Peacekeepers or a mish-mash? Mostly peace keepers, but other people get in the way, causing trouble. Are you a sucker for good grammar? Not really How is your handwriting? Chicken scratches How evil are your villains? Pure evil, at least I try, except for Matas, he turned good on me. Are you long-winded or succinct? I can ramble at times, but some of my most dramatic scenes are actually pretty short. Do you have typical "writer" traits such as inkstains on your fingers or a pencil behind your ear? No, not really, unless you count chewing on the end of my pencil/pen... Would someone walking past you on the street consider you normal? No, because I talk to myself almost all the time, especially while walking down the street alone. Do you write mostly poetry, stories, novels or a mixture? I usually write novels (or at least start them) but I occasionally write poetry Do your characters vary in accents, appearence and attitude or are they mostly the same? I try to make them different, but I need to work on their appearances more, I think. Most of my MC's are similar, but since their in different stories I don't mind too much, and it's not like their identical. Do real people and/or places inspire your writing? Black Missouri! Black Missouri! Black Missouri! Black Missouri! Black Missouri! How many blogs/websites/internet haunts do you have? Too many to count... What is your favorite character? Or do you choose to remain unbiased in case of a revolt? Callan. I've had him the longest, and he's just so sweet! My favorite villians are Antanas, Bronic, and Awan. Do you talk to your characters? Do they talk back? I not only talk to them, I whip them when they're not behaving. Are you more comfortable with girl or boy main characters? Both! You can't have a wedding novel without a girl and a boy. And I like writing both of them equally, I think... the girls are fun because they don't trust the hero's at times, and the heroes are cool because I like to make the readers feel really bad for them. Do you follow basic overused plotlines with new twists thrown in or do you depart from the norm all the time? I try to come up with my own original plots, but I also like to use some old tried and true plots that have withheld the test of time, like when each character thinks the other loves another. Do you feel God has called you to be a writer/poet? Will you grasp "the power of the pen"? Yes, I do feel that he has called me to be a writer, and I'm going to try to write to the best of my abilities, with God's help, and with his help I'm going to become the writer that he wants me to be.
Well on Halloween night me, Tinuviel, Mister Cool, Maddie, Enilarwyn and Daydreamer stayed up until midnight and then began writing furiously. I ended the first week end with 9,000 words, and realized that I couldn't continue with my story. I absolutely hated it. So, long story short, I switched stories in a way so that I could keep my first 9,000 words.
Then in week two I began to figure out my plot, and spent all week writing my favorite scenes, even if they were out of order. Everyone says that week two is the worst, but for me it was the best. I loved all the scenes I wrote, and figured out an awesome plot that I loved.
I was ahead all of week two, but then I fell behind in week three, I wasn't uninspired, I was just too tired to write. I barely wrote any in week three, and then began a little more in week four. But on the 27th, I began writing a lot, and caught up, I was only 1,200 words from the finish, and I knew I had to finish that night. Both Molly and Tinuviel had already finished, and I couldn't bare to end a day behind them, so I buckled down and wrote, and wrote and finished with a little over 50,000 words according to my Storiest document, I spent a long hard hour scrambling it and then put it into the NaNoWriMo counter. One problem, the NaNoWriMo counter gave me 1,300 words less! I had to write over a thousand words more! So once again I buckled down and began writing, and went to bed after midnight, a NaNoWriMo 2008 official winner.
So there you have it, my NaNoing month, and now, without further ado, the tags!

Oct. 30, 2008 - Gone writing, be back in December

Well, as you can doubtlessly tell from the title, and my little button, I shall be gone for the month of November due to the fact that I am participating in NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month). The goal: to compleat a 50,000 word novel starting at midnight October 31, ending at midnight November 31. To do that I have to write about 1,667 words or so each day. I think I'm insane.
I have decided to write a story about a girl who gets sucked into her own story, where the characters are revolting. The reason I think I'm insane is because she doesn't get engaged at the end, she doesn't fall in love, she doesn't even meet a gentlemanly guy except for her characters, and I have no idea how long I can write like this! *takes a deep breath* well, when I get a craving for GOOD stuff, I shall just hie meself over and write some TCN, or make Tristan's (one of the MC's characters) plot GOODER.
If your wondering what would tempt me to write such an un-Katieish thing, it was the fact the the original GOOD hero wouldn't behave, so I took him out, and the only thing keeping me from writing a different story for NaNoWiMo, is something one of my favorite artists, Enya, said during an interview;
"I think that it's important sometimes to move on. There is a time where where people get to comfortable in a zone, and there's a risk factor involved, but go for it."
I had decided to write something GOODER at first, but I couldn't get those words out of my head "to comfortable in a zone" and "go for it". So I have decided to catapult myself out of my comfort zone and see what happens. After all, that's what NaNoWriMo is all about, right? Well, please remember me in your prayers, I'm really worried that I'll burn out in the middle of November due to the lack of GOOD stuff.
Until December, I remain,
~ Katie

Oct. 25, 2008 - One Year
I just got back from doing some errands with my mom, and Maddie to get some necessities for our Halloween costumes. We took a lot of back roads on the way home, due to trafic, and ended up going way out of our way to get home, but it was worth it. The trees are all in color, and we drove past a lot of farm land. It was gorgeos, and I am now working on convincing my parents to move there, my whole family has always wanted land. We had the windows roled down and the cold wind was wipping through the car, the only thing to dampen the prospect, was the fact that I had to listen to Beatles music almost the whole time, by the time it was my turn to chose the music, we were pretty much out of the farm land, but it was still wonderful.
We also drove past Bowen Park, and I started thinking about how I had hopping to be able to take a walk through the ravine with my mom and Maddie, last year when Tinuviel, Enilarwyn, Mister Cool and I took a walk down there, it had been so beautiful, the leaves were all yellow and gold, it reminded me of Lothlorien.
It was thinking about this, and how we had taken so many pictures that day, and even used one as mine and Tinuviel's first avatar, that I suddenly remembered. Today is mine and Tinuviel's first blogging anniversary! We joined the HSB community on October the 25, 2007, and began Elvish Musings. Here's a link to our first post, and here's some interesting facts about my first year of blogging:

The greatest thing I've taken away from my one year of blogging: All the friendships I've made. I can't believe that two years ago I didn't know Heather or Cherise or Beth or Gabrielle or even Tinuviel! I don't know what I did without you girls! If it wasn't for you my story would be horrible or nonexistent. Before I met you girls, I was so lonely. I had Molly, but she lived far away, and I didn't get to see her that much, and I had Daydreamer, but I didn't get to see her that much, and I was shy. Meeting you girls has not only given me the friendships I longed for, but the confidence I needed. I'm an outgoing person when around people I know, but I used to be very shy around people I don't know, I still am, but I'm getting better. I know that no matter where they live, I have friends that love me, and no matter what this new person thinks of me, my friends will still love me, so I'm not so nervose about what that person will think of me. If they don't like me the way they are, then that's their problem, I still have great friends that will always love me, and I love them.
I'm litteraly tearing up while writing this, I just don't know what I did without all my wonderful friends! I don't know what I did without Heather to laugh with about my story, or with out her stories to read. I don't know what I did without Gabrielle to argue with about what countries better, America or New Zealand, or Beth to side with against Gabrielle, or to just chat with when I'm down. I don't know what I did without Heather and Cherise's incredible encouragement, they're the reason "The Crimson Nymph" is being written, without them, I'd have given up long ago. And I don't know what I did without Tinuviel to walk with, and to talk with, and to complain to. She saved Lydia/Adrianna from being a Mary-Sue, and listened patently to all of my plot changes. I just want to say a big "thank-you" to all of my friends for being there for me this past year. You girls are the best! *group hug*

Sep. 14, 2008 - Done Procrastinating (wow! I spelled that right!)

Created by OnePlusYou
That has actually happened to me several times!
Ok, now on with the real post. Ugh! this has been one big snowball! I didn't post because I was "busy" and then the longer it took me to post, the longer I put it off, because I knew I would have a ton to make up for, but, as I am waiting for Molly to call me back, I might as well get this over with.
Well, first of all, as most of you already know, four weeks ago I got a rabbit. A very cute (very mischievous) black dutch mix, which I re-named, Maddock after a character in Heather's story. Unfortunately, I still don't have any pic on my computer, but the ones from PetFinder _fcksavedurl="">PetFinder" are PetFinder are here. I know his eyes look red, but they really aren't- well they are, but a very dark red, they don't look that red except when the light hits them.
He's a very adorable, cute rabbit and has gotten much more sociable since I got him. But he's also already chewed up the covers on a couple of my school books (brand new too!) and chewed a cord in my mom's treadmill, which broke it. Hence the only pet I've ever had that my mom has actually liked, is no longer her favorite pet.
On other subjects, we've been getting a lot of rain here lately, it's so awesome! Me and Maddie and Enilarwyn and Tinuvile went for a long walk one day about a week ago, and go soaked! It was so fun!
Ok, I'm going to wrap up this short post by announcing that me, Molly and Heather have gotten a blog for our characters, Maddock, Callan and Rean-Hammon, you can find it here, please check it out!

Aug. 22, 2008 - A new poem
Alright, I still need to post about what I did last week end, but I'll wait until I have pictures, so until then, here is a poem I wrote about a week ago, Let me know what you think, and see if you can guess the riddle. Also, I was inspired for it while reading the second book in a fantasy trilogy, see if you can guess which one.
Gleams of Light
Two gleams of light,
Green gleams of light,
They glow in the dark,
The dark, dark night.
A shadow emerges,
A black, black shadow,
With two gleams of light
In the dark dark night.
What is this shadow in the dark, dark night,
With two gleams of light,
Green gleams of light?
A hunter I answer,
A hunter of what?
Of superstitious old fools in the dark dark night.
A hunter of what? you ask me again,
Of superstitious old fools, with sharp sharp knives.
A black shadow emerges,
It's eyes all a glow,
Two gleams of light in the dark dark night,
And then,
Silent as the grave it walks away,
Only a block shadow in the dark dark night
Except for two gleams of light,
Two green gleams of light in the dark, dark night.
A hunter of fools in the dark, dark night.
Any way, let me know what you think of it, I'll post the answer to the riddle and where my inspiration came from in my next post, until then I remain yours truly,
