Since he was five years old Nik has loved football, probably before then, but that is when he started understanding it and loving it! For math in First grade he charted the whole NFL season with wins and losses and he and his dad did it again last year all the way up until the Super Bowl. He has his own football card collection that keeps growing and is VERY organized. But when he started communicating that he wanted to play, I was a tad hesitant for all the normal reasons a mother is hesitant when her son says he wants to play tackle football!! Besides the fact that on that unspoken *interest spectrum* of book/athletics he appeared to be closer to the book end (no pun intended Well, he has ONCE again surprised us all! His first two weeks of conditioning (2 hours a night of constant exercise) proved to be something that he could easily handle. And now I have one cute football player on my hands (#94).
