I cannot believe I deleted my last entry by mistake and I had 3 comments on it.  Can I retrieve.  Well, we leave Thursday for Chambersburg, Pennsylvania. I am not dancing in the streets yet.  I have no idea what kind of town it is.  We are set up with a realtor to start looking this weekend.   We sure don't want to be doing that!!!  I am excited and scared.  Going into the unknown is never east but believing and trusting in God is.  I know He will be walking right beside us.  I am thrilled with technology.  I may have found a little league for Matthew already by use of the internet.  What a resource.  I got my amtrack tickets today.  That will be fun for us.  It is just the 3 of us no Mike.  This will be the longest (2 wks) to be away from him.  I am coming back for the movers and to finish Faith and Matthew's piano.  They have a recital on Mother's Day May 14th.  I am so proud of them.  They are such a joy to have in my life every day.  I love teaching them.  We had a great day today.  I am making a portfolio of what they have done for the year.  This will help me to stay organized.  I am still working out 5-6 days a week but stopped getting on the scale for now.  I am happy with where I am now.  I will look forward to settling down in a home/and my first basement.  I looked at the weather.  In Tallahassee we are hitting high 80's (F and M have been using the pool).  Chambersburg-it will be 56 for the high on Saturday and 60's the other days-BIG Change!!!!  I am sure I can adapt.  I love my husband.  I love my children and we are going to be just fine!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Until next time.

Mar. 17, 2006 - It's Friday

Yeah.  It's the weekend!!  We went to our dollar theatre to see Chronicles of Narnia again.  It is a great movie.  Looking forward to seeing what they do with part 2.  We have a great dollar theatre so that is where we go.  Faith and Matthew love going.  We are going to a wedding tomorrow (Sat.) in the gardens here in Tallahassee.  The weather should be nice.  We were at 81 today.  All of Tallahassee is on spring break this next week and mine won't be until the following week when we are on the cruise.  After the cruise we are going to Sarasota for a week.  My husband is doing an assessment at a credit union there so I will haul some of my homeschooling things and homeschool in the hotel.  Then it's off to the beach.  I was so proud of Faith and Matthew in school.  They both made perfect scores in the Language Arts test and Bible Test.  I took them to Chick Fe Le(spelling ?).  I do not believe they would be this far if they went to school especially my 5 year old.  I taught Kindergarten one year and I know.  We dropped off a present to their daddy at work today.  I like to do those kinds of things for my husband especially now since our 8th anniversary is coming up March 28th.  He is such an encouraging husband.  I love when we pray together and as a family.  Those are special times.

I am so thrilled I have lost another pant size.  I am now a 16 and still going.  I had a pretty good weekend.  Sometimes I have too much on my mind and I know that God says to be anxious for nothing and to cast all my burdens to Him.  God is in control and He knows everything.  Yesterday, I worked out on my treadmill for 3 miles.  Out of that I ran 1/2 mile which I am still amazed I can do.  Then we went on a 5 mile hike which was great except I forgot to eat a snack and we didn't get to eat lunch until 2pm.  So it triggered a migraine.  I have to eat  and on time.   I should have brought my excedrin (which helps me) in my purse.  We went to buy a 5 hour battery for our new camcorder.  The one Sony gives you is about an hour.  I didn't know what we would do on the cruise.  So we bought a 5 hour one.  Then we went to Target which we would should own stock in.  I came home and went to bed at 4:30 and stayed there.  We went to church this morning.  I came home and still not feeling 100 percent.  My children are playing and eating with our neighbors.  Thank you Jesus for great neighbors.  I haven't had neighbors like I have now.  And now we are 99 percent sure we are moving to Pennsylvania.  I am a Floridian.  But I also Support my husband.  We will know by March 28th what will happen.  I am excited and a little scared.  My recent reading is Dee Hendersons, The Witness.  I have read Tracie Petersons books and they are fantastic.  Until next time.  Corinna

Mar. 6, 2006 - A typical day of homeschooling

Just thought I would let you know how my schedule works for Faith and Matthew.  We start our schooling around 8:15.

1.  We get our flags and say the Pledge of Allegiance.  We sing our National Anthem and I am now teaching them America The Beautiful.

2.  We take hands and go around saying one thing we are thankful for.  They are now thanking God for dying on the cross, loving us, forgiving our sins.  Then Faith and Matthew pray and then I pray for them and over them.  A verse I like to use says this:  Faith and Matthew will be taught of the Lord and great will be their peace.   Takes about 10 minutes  I love our prayer time.

3.  Language Arts Program-Sing, Spell, Read and Write.  (45-50 minutes)  I love it!!  We sing songs, we play games, we spell, we write sentences, we read.  Matthew is just 5 and I cannot believe how well he reads.  He reads with expression and he enjoys doing it.  Faith is 6 and she does the same.  When she sees an exclamation point she knows and wants to emphasize.  When she sees a question mark she wants to sound like there is a question.  They have every sound and now we are doing the rules like y=i in my, pry.  We are now taking 5 of their spelling words and they have to make sentences.  I am very happy with the progress they have made.

4.  Science and Bible done by Lifepac. (20-30 minutes each depending how deep or what craft we do for it)   I like these programs.  I am not a big Science person so this program has helped me.  We made a book on the four seasons and we go on a lot of hiking trails to learn about trees and wildlife.  We did the letters JESUS and on each letter we wrote and illustrated the life of Jesus.  Turned out great.  We also made a book with ribbon of Gods promises.  I loved how they came out.

5.  They sit on the beanbag and I read a couple of  books to them.

6.  Centers-I have computer, listening, leapfrog, art, blocks (like geoboard, pattern blocks), and reading.  I usually do 2 centers and then just flip the next day.  Faith does listening today and Matthew does art.  Tomorrow Faith does art and Matthew does listening.  For listening I have bought some of my own but I go to the library once a week and check out some.  I have doing some of the foreign language ones like Chinese and they sing songs.  Centers for for 20-40 minutes.

7.  Lunch

8.  Math- Saxon Math (about 45 min.)  I do like this program.

9.  Writing-Draw Write Now Program.  I have been doing some Social Studies with it.  Faith and Matthew have to draw what I draw in steps then they write something that goes with the drawing.  We drew the United States Map and they wrote a few sentences about the U.S.  They like these drawings.  They come out great.

10.  I have a treasure chest that I let them get in every so often depending on what I put in it.

11.  School is over.  I sit on the porch while they play.  I read my Bible, I write, I relax.

12.  I workout on my treadmill 5-6 times a week. I go 2.5-3 miles each day.

13.  Dinner, devotions, play, quiet (they read books in bed), sleep.

I have a horshoe shaped table which is perfects for us because I sit in the middle.  My pictures show a little of our classroom.

My favorite part of school is hearing them read, singing and watching them "get it."  I love to sit on the porch.
