Hey there Corky! *big smile* Thanks for leaving me a comment. I've missed you!

How are things going for you guys? I too hate that we didn't get to see each other this year. But hopefully soon. It's HARD being the only homeschoolers in the family AND in our church. I NEED that yearly encouragement and companionship from you. That's the only time of the year that I don't feel so alone and 'wierd'. I sure wish you guys lived here so we could get together more often. My sweety really needs it too. Oh what having another h.s. dad to talk to would do for him. Especially one that feels so strongly about it as HoneyBunch does.

Ah well. Guess we'll just have to plan us a trip up there soon, huh?

You know what? About your book... I boxed it up as I was cleaning and purging one day because I knew it would get buried and lost, but I didn't mean to send it without at least a little note in it. But I had been selling on-line and had a bunch of packages sitting on the table and Seth took them all to the post office for me one day and yours went with them and I didn't know it. So one day I got to looking for yours so I could stick a note in it and I couldn't find it anywhere and I couldn't figure out what in the world happened to it! LOL! So glad to know it at least found it's way home! So sorry 'bout that. Hope you didn't think I was too rude. LOL!

Hey, I just came across your blog while I was randomly reading and saw that you are a military family. I am new to blogging and wanted to get connected with some of the wonderful families who are on this site.

I am particularly drawn to your site because I have a son who will be 18 in March and is seriously considering enlisting in the Air Force. He has been talking to recruiters for several months and is getting really close to making a decision.

As a mom, it is a little scary to have a son wanting to join the military with the way the world is today. But I also believe that Josh will be in God's hands the same there as any where else so it shouldn't make a difference where he is. My Dad was in the Air Force when he was young, before he married my mom but he didn't stay in. He always wanted to be a pilot but he is color-blind so that could never happen. 4 of my 7 boys are color blind too but Josh isn't one of them so he hasn't got the same limitations. He doesn't want to be a pilot though. He is looking at law enforcement and has been told that the Air Force has the best training program in that area of all the branches.

I would love to hear what life is like in the military and also have someone to connect with just to talk if he truly does join! And of course, there is always homeschooling to talk about! :)
