As I cannot think of a single thing to talk about and discuss,
perhaps a simple entry on what I have learned of lately, studying Veterinary Science from a 4-h book.
An Animal's Body Systems, and what they Consist of.
This is what I have memorized, not what comes straight from the book itself.
Cardiovascular: The Body's Blood System. Responsible for the body's blood flow.
It consists of the Heart (pump), Lymphatics and Arteries (pipes), Spleen (A filter and storage area
for the blood), and Veins.
Digestive: Crumbles and absorbs the food that enters your body. This contains the
Mouth (entrance point and crusher), Esophagus (the food tunnel,
Stomach (storage component), Pancreas (digesting area), Liver (the filter),
Intestines (jumbled tunnels food travels through), and Rectum (the Exit point).
Integumentary: In charge an animals body protection and pigmentation.
Includes the Skin (you know what that is), Fur (or hair),
Glands (in animals, a cell or group of cells that secretes a specific substance), Claws, Horns, or Hooves.
Urogental: Removes waste and assists in the animals reproduction.
Major parts are the Kidneys, Bladder, Uterus, Ovaries, and Testicles.
Respiratory: Supplies Oxegyn to the body and disposes of Carbon Dioxide.
This system is made up of the Nostrils, Nose, Lungs, Trachea, and sinuses.
Sense Organs: What animals use to see, hear, touch, smell, and taste.
These include Nose, Tongue, Skin, Eyes, and Ears.
Endocrine: Any gland of the body that secretes hormones directly into the blood or lymph.
For example the thyroid, pituitary, pineal, and adrenal glands are part of the Endocrine System.
Nervous: Assists the body in feeling and reacting. Consisting mainly of the Nerves,
Brain, and Spinal Cord.
Musculoskeletal: What its name implies, this system support the
body's movement and activity.
The Muscles, Ligaments, Tendons, Cartilage, and Bones.

I shall now leave you to, if you will, ponder these long, scientifical names and
look them up in the encyclopedias and dictionarys, discovering there deep
meaning and vital importance. Or, I would think it possible,
though not entirely logical, to read this, store it in the innermost
parts of your brain never to be found again! and leave this blog, to
return another time. Your Choice......
~Good Day and God Bless You~

Happy (VERY LATE) Independence Day! What did you do to celebrate? My family --and a very dear family we've known for a long time--went to Daddy's boss's suite in Squaw Creek, which is five miles away from Tahoe City. Oh yes...the suite was in a BEAUTIFUL resort!!!!! Here are some pictures of our trip...I will
narrate along the way.
Look at that beautiful mountain!!!
This is a picnic deck with a lovely view. We didn't eat here though!
That little cutie is Baby Hannah! (SO SWEET!!)
Elizabeth being silly.
"We Want You!" only with a smiley face!
(Okay, enough people pictures...let us begin the activities)
There was a really nice and inexpensive carnival there, right in the middle of the resort! This is John playing "Ring Toss"
Hannah (my sister) and I did the "Bungee Run". It was SO much fun!
Mommy signed Hannah and Iup for the "Water Sponge Relay Races" at 3:00 PM. When we were all done at the Carnival and the arcade (but I am too lazy to put pictures up for that) it was only around 12:00 pm. So we went swimming!! That picture on top is of Elizabeth going down the water-slide. It was 120 feet long!
And...um, that is...hehe...me. Understand why the picture is so small? Okay I was accidentally flipping! Next!
Here we are...after about three hours of swimming...at the relay races! Hannah and I were on a team. I have to tell you how the races worked...I find it quite funny! We are all paired on teams of two. Hannah and I were already signed up together so we made an immediate team. At one end of our track (which was maybe fifteen feet long) there were two chairs about three feet apart--both with buckets underneath them. At the other end was two buckets filled with water and one sponge inside each one, the same length apart. One team would start at each bucket. When the caller said "Go!" one member of each team would grab a sponge, dunks it in the water so it gets wet, and run over to the chairs with buckets underneath them. Then they would place the sponge on the chair and sit on it to get the water out! They would then run back to their teammate and pass them the sponge. The teammate would complete the whole process over again. This will keep going until the water in the buckets under the chairs reaches a certain marked level. Whichever team reaches this level first wins!
Lots of people signed up for this but only three showed up (counting us). We raced against two brothers, one older and one younger. We beat them. The only team left to go to the finals (sort of) were a brother and sister. We all would have raced as usual if not who we were racing with were significantly younger than us. Daddy and the rest of us thought that it was not fair. So we asked the person who was managing this if we could do something never done before. We all matched Hannah with the young girl and me with her brother! It was a good match! Hannah and her partner won. I am glad that everybody was a good sport about things. All in all we had a good time :+)
That is (from the left to the right) Little Hannah, Auntie Grace, and beautiful mommy :+)!
The next day my family and I went on a hike.
Part of the trail.
There were many flowers that we took pictures of but I am not going to post those. This is a beautiful wild Columbine!

Everybody can do this if they wish! But please give me a comment so I can see what you said!
What happens in this contest? In this contest several templates compete to become the Template of the Week. This means that your template gets free publicity, you will get HTML advice from others and bragging rights and a banner if you win. Winners of the Template of the Week will be entered into the Template of the Month contest.
How do I enter? Every template that is submitted to Recycled Templates will automatically be considered, you do not have to send them in. I will choose several templates that I think will do well together and enter them in the contest. I will PM you if I choose to enter your template.
What is Recycled Templates? Recycled Templates is a website where you contribute old templates that you won't use anymore and 'recycle' them for other people to use.
How do I vote? You can either PM or comment me your vote. PMing is advised it you have friends in the contest, that way nobody's feelings are hurt. No anonymous comments will be counted.
Can I tell others about this contest? Yes! You may post this post on your blog to let people know. Please do not just tell your friends to go vote for you. You might have more friends that vote for you then other contestants do.
What sportsmanship do you require? I ask that if you win, please don't put anybody else down. I would like it (but it isn't required) if you went to the other contestants blogs and congratulate them if they win or tell them that it was a good try if they lost.
If I were entered into this contest can I vote for myself? No. You may however vote for somebody else who is participating.
Will I be entered multiple times? You could be. Right now there's only a few templates that have been contributed to Recycled Templates. Every time you contribute a template you increase your odds of being entered. At some point in time I will have entered everybody who has contributed.
What if I don't want to contribute something to Recycled Templates, could I still enter? At the moment I am only entering templates that have been contributed to Recycled Templates. My reason for this is: I don't know how many (or few) templates I'll have flooding in and I don't want to forget which ones are for Recycled Templates and which ones are for the Template of the Week contest. This will make it easier on me, but I might change this after a few weeks. My other reason for doing this is so that your template will be recognized as a good quality one and more people will use it one their blogs.
Let's say I have contributed several templates to Recycled Templates but there is a certain one I would like entered in the contest. Can I ask you to enter it? Yes! I'm not saying I'll do it right away but at least I know you would like it to be entered.
How often will this contest be held? Every Tuesday voting will end for the past three templates and the winner will be announced. At this time three new templates will be entered. Every three weeks the past winners of said three weeks will be entered into a Template of the Month contest. I may stop this contest in the fall because I will be starting school again and I have no idea how busy I will be. If I do quit in the fall I will start again next summer.
Is there anything else you would like me to know? Please remember that this is a HTML contest, not a popularity one. Please don't vote for someone just because you know them. Please be on your honor system at all times and please remember to have FUN!!!

Do any of you garden? I do! We recently had our backyard landscaped and there is a lot of garden area. I spend a very good amount of my free time out there and sincerely enjoy it. I feel-while I care for my plants-that I am really caring for God's plants. The plants he blessed me with.
Isaiah 61:11
"For as the earth brings forth its sprouts, and as a garden causes the things sown in it to spring up, so the Lord GOD will cause righteousness and praise to spring up before all the nations."
Isaiah 51:3
"Indeed, the LORD will comfort Zion; He will comfort all her waste places and her wilderness He will make like Eden, and her desert like the garden of the LORD; joy and gladness will be found in her, thanksgiving and sound of a melody."
I am truly blessed by the Lord! Already, flowers are turning to the beginnings of vegetables and fruits. Oh King of Kings! Lord of Lords! I shall praise Him all my days. He has given me a wonderful family, a roof over my head, clothes to cover my body, and food to fill my stomach. Is that not enough? Yet He has given me so much more! I do not dare say I deserve it. It fills me with such happiness to know that we have a God that is so loving he sent his son to take away our sins! How could we ever say we deserve to even live? Yet he loves us, and created us not because he was lonely, or because he needed some friends, but because he wanted to. And he wants us to love him too.
Are we loving him as he wants us to? Are we following his commands? Are we giving him our all?
I am striving to, though I cannot say that I am very successful.
Go Here
to see the rules and etc.
I cannot post very long because I need to get off. This looks like a very fun thing to do and once you get into doing Scrapbooking, its hard to get out :+)
Thanks for listening and I am sorry this isn't longer :+(
Alas, those words come pouring out of our mouths with no meaning whatsoever. These days it seems like just another funny phrase that we can say. When someone says 'Happy Easter' what is it you are thinking of? Are you thinking about how much you can't wait to go on that egg-hunt and get some candy? Will you not get enough?! Are you thinking about how much you can't wait to have some lamb and salad and potatoes for dinner? Or are you thinking about how much you can make that holiday enjoyable for yourself and how much stuff you can get out of it. You just can't wait for that holiday to come up so you can have some fun. No!
I do not believe that God called us to celebrate his son dying on the cross and rising again so that we can get stuff. I believe that we should look forward to Easter because we realize that that is when our loving Lord, our Saviour, died on the cross to SAVE us, sinners.
As they went out, they found a man of Cyrene, Simon by name. They compelled this man to carry his cross. And when they came to a place called Golgotha (which means Place of a Skull), they offered him wine to drink, mixed with gall, but when he tasted it, he would not drink it. And when they had crucified him they divided his garments among them by casting lots. Then they sat down and kept watch over him there. And over his head they put the charge against him, which read, "This is Jesus, the King of the Jews." Then two robbers were crucified with him, one on the right and one on the left. And those who passed by derided him, wagging their heads and saying, "You who would destroy the temple and rebuild it in three days, save yourself! If you are the Son of God, come down from the cross." So also the chief priests, with the scribes and elders, mocked him, saying, "He saved others; he cannot save himself. He is the King of Israel; let him come down now from the cross, and we will believe in him. He trusts in God; let God deliver him now, if he desires him. For he said, 'I am the Son of God.'" And the robbers who were crucified with him also reviled him in the same way.
Now from the sixth hour there was darkness over all the land until the ninth hour. And about the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a loud voice, saying, "Eli, Eli, lema sabachthani?" that is, "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?"And some of the bystanders, hearing it, said, "This man is calling Elijah." And one of them at once ran and took a sponge, filled it with sour wine, and put it on a reed and gave it to him to drink. But the others said, "Wait, let us see whether Elijah will come to save him." And Jesus cried out again with a loud voice and yielded up his spirit.
And behold, the curtain of the temple was torn in two, from top to bottom. And the earth shook, and the rocks were split. The tombs also were opened. And many bodies of the saints who had fallen asleep were raised, and coming out of the tombs after his resurrection they went into the holy city and appeared too many. When the centurion and those who were with him, keeping watch over Jesus, saw the earthquake and what took place, they were filled with awe and said "Truly this was the Son of God!"
There were also many women there, looking on from a distance, who had followed Jesus from Galilee, ministering to him, among whom were Mary Magdalene and Mary the mother of James and Joseph and the mother of the sons of Zebedee.
When it was evening, there came a rich man from Arimathea, named Joseph, who also was a disciple of Jesus. He went to Pilate and asked for the body of Jesus. Then Pilate ordered it to be given to him. And Joseph took the body and wrapped it in a clean linen shroud and laid it in his own new tomb, which he had cut in the rock. And he rolled a great stone to the entrance of the tomb and went away. Mary Magdalene and the other Mary were there, sitting opposite the tomb.
The next day, that is, after the day of preparation, the chief priests and the Pharisees gathered before Pilate and said, "Sir, we remember how that impostor said, while he was still alive, 'After three days I will rise.' Therefore order the tomb to be made secure until the third day, lest his disciples go and steal him away and tell the people, 'He has risen from the dead,' and the last fraud will be worse than the first." Pilate said to them, "You have a guard of soldiers. Go; make it as secure as you can." So they went and made the tomb secure by sealing the stone and setting a guard.
Now after the Sabbath, toward the dawn of the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to see the tomb. And behold, there was a great earthquake, for an angel of the Lord descended from heaven and came and rolled back the stone and sat on it. His appearance was like lightning and his clothing white as snow. And for fear of him the guards trembled and became like dead men. But the angel said to the women, "Do not be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified. He is not here, for he has risen, as he said. Come, see the place where he lay. Then go quickly and tell his disciples that he has risen from the dead, and behold, he is going before you to Galilee; there you will see him. See, I have told you." So they departed quickly from the tomb with fear and great joy, and ran to tell his disciples. And behold, Jesus met them and said, "Greetings!" And they came up and took hold of his feet and worshiped him. Then Jesus said to them, "Do not be afraid; go and tell my brothers to go to Galilee, and there they will see me."

God rose from the dead and now lives in heaven!
How blessed we are to have a God who loves us so much that he sent his son to die for our sins! I shall strive to stay focused on the true reason we celebrate Easter Sunday.
God bless you!!
And Happy True Easter!
