Wednesday night was family night up at our church and all the kids were able to show their parents what they had been learning in VBS. It was great..... My class ( 1st grade) and 2nd grade sang the song " Workin' on my Serve" and My brother and his class sang " F-O-L-L-O-W". It was Awesome. I LOVE VBS!!!!

VBS is great! I am working in the 1st grade class again this year and we are only on our 2nd day . On the first day our class had 19 kids and today we had 22.  Adding  all classes together yesterday the total was 190 kids!

Well Saturday I will be going to take the SAT test!!! Pray for me to do well!!!

We got a new puppy yesterday!!!! She is a really sweet, cute, cuddle bug, Maltese.

We have named her " DAISY" She such a good girl. We love her sooooo much!

Well it's another school day!! we are doing a three days and all year system, and I think it works out pretty well.

This year for 11th grade I am studying: Algebra 2 by the Teaching Company, Teacher: Murray Siegal,  Chemistry, also by the Teaching Company Teacher: Frank Cardulla, Geography by Abeka, The northern Anthology of American Literature, and Power-GLide Spanish as my main courses. I will also be an assisstant coach in my brothers basketball team this year, since my dad is coaching. We do Upwards basketball. It is a wonderful non-competitive program, designed to help kids learn some basics about basketball ,but mostly about how to have fun , play together, and learn about Jesus. There are devotions and bible verses at each practice and a prayer before each game . They also give out "Stars" after each game , there are 6 different colors , each meaning somthing different. The red star is for best deffense, the gray is for best offense, the blue is for best effort, the gold is for best sportmanship, the white is my favorite , it stands for the kid that acted the           " Most Christlike" during the game, and the green stars are given out for every bible verse that is learned . I think it is an awesome program. I played basketball , soccer, and baseball for the same program for 5 years.

Well it is fall again , my favorite season. I love all of the colors in the leaves. This year we received alot of rain ,so the trees were gorgeous. This fall was especially special for me because we have moved into a house!!! I love our new house!

The Christmas season is fast approaching also. My aunt and uncle are coming this Thanksgiving, and we have  christmas with them while they are here, so our house is already decorated. December will bring card signing and cookie baking! I love to walk in the kitchen and smell cookies baking, and cinnamon candles, listen to soft christmas music, and see the windows fog up from the heat on the inside and the cold on the outside.

This Is what I learned at my new volunteer job at the library:

1. Jon explained Mobius and Interlibrary Loans.

2. Ashley showed me all about the library computer like how to check in and check out books , and how to look up books that are requested.

3. Ashley gave me a tour of the library and showed me how to reshelve books.

4. Ashley and Jeff explained how the Microfiche work and how they are trying to make them elctronically accessable.

5. Walked through the library looking for books to "count-use" which is when people don't put their books back on the shelf right and we have to take them to the desk and scan them again to make sure they were checked back in.

6. Ashley , showed me how to scan and put the due date cards in the back of the books.

7. Jon gave me three papers with the names and call numbers of books that were requested for interlibrary Loans and told me to go hunt them down.

8. Amy Handed me a box of about 1000 microfiche to look up on the library catalog and see if they were electronically accessable, then sort , it took about 4 weeks to complete. I definitely learned how to type well those weeks.

9. Rebekah and Katie taught me about serials and aquisitions, they  let me look up and type in the titles of the books that they had received in the mail.

Me and my mom are in a program at a our church called the "New Baby Ministry", where when anyone in our church has a new baby the church provides a basket with a stuffed animal, baby towels, and a blanket. They also provide three dinners for the whole family. Mom is making a dish and a homemade loaf of bread for one of the meals and We are both making baby blankets , some quilted, and some fleece , and some crocheted . We just finished 8 blankets ( 3 quillted, 4 fleece, and one crocheted) ,, I am teaching mom how to crochet so she can help me make the crocheted baby blankets,,,,,and she is teaching me how to fix the ends of the fleece blankets. It is alot of fun to be able to bless others in making a meal and blankets.

Well It has been way too long since I have written on here,  I was talking about Fall and the change in the weather, and now I am looking forward to spring!

       Yesterday we had another Ice Storm; it wasn't as bad as last year's, but it still coated the trees and our yard and driveway are a big skating rink. I think we got about 1/2 an inch of ice. 

Douglas and Michael are playing basketball this year .  It is alot of fun to watch them play. Michael's team name is the " Terrapins " and Douglas's team name is the " Rhinos" they are both doing very well ,,,, Michael scored 14 of the 25 points in last Saturdays game and Douglas made 2 steals at his game; It was really exciting!

On thursdays me and my nana get together on the compter and since we have a web cam we can see each other ,, and she is teaching me all about quilting and I am teaching her how to play the piano.

Well It is now officially Fall . I love this time of the year where the leaves are changing color.  Me  and Mom are already talking about decorating for christmas. My aunt and uncle are coming for thanksgiving and we always like to celebrate christmas while they are here.  I just received an E-mail today that said I could be a weather watcher! That is sooooo neat! I can't wait ! I have always really LOVED to watch the weather on tv and check the radar ,and whenever we are going to have severe weather I always get so excited ! You can just ask my family, whenever it rains I am almost constantly at the window watching it.

Piano Has started up again and we are already planning for a christmas recital. So far I know I will be playing two duets with my teacher and at least 4 solos.

Happy Fall !!!!!!

Wow I cannot beleive how long it has been since I have written on here... Mom just reminded me about it today when she was working on re- doing her blog template.  So much has happened I am sure I will not remember nor have the time to write It all down.   Well Lets See , I will try anyway......

Well I stopped writing in may so I guess I will pick up from there .... In June I had a piano recital and I played 8 songs and I really enjoyed it !.... about two weeks after that we had Vacation Bible School at our church and I was a teacher in the 1st grade class , I always enjoy helping every year . My class averaged 20 kids everyday .  Then.......... Micheal broke his Arm ! Oh it was terrible!  He had a cast on it for a month and then a splint, but now it is almost all the way better and he is just trying to get some muscle back in it.

July 4 , Was wonderful !  We had an * American * lunch with Grilled hamburgers and Hotdogs, Baked beans , poatato salad, a vegetable tray , Lemonade,  Iced tea, and for desert ... Chocolate pie ... YUM!!!!!!!!!  Then we went to see a special Fourth of July Rodeo...while we were there it started raining ALOT! Me , douglas, and Mom were drenched ( Dad had run to the van before it had gotten too bad ) and Micheal had to keep his cast dry , so he had most of the umbrella .  At least we were not hot anymore, and when it finally stopped the rodeo continued followed by a display of fireworks, then we came home  excited, exhausted, and soggy, but we had had alot of fun! hehe

Now It is August , almost September and I am looking forward to babysitting once a week soon, An exciting vacation to Florida and company for thanksgiving! I can't wait.

Is't that pretty ? I think it decribes spring perfectly! I love Spring !  I have been busy !  a couple of week ago I helped plant our flower garden ... I dug up about 5 buckets full of rocks , planted almost 100 flowers and put down 2 1/2 bags of mulch . WOW ! I was tired after all that!  After everything was planted I brought out the watering hose and watered them all in real good and also sprayed Douglas and Micheal and their friends , Jesse and Josiah ,  it was fun hehe. Well I have to go, mom needs me to help her with lunch! Bye!

We had a good time Easter... Dad gave us a great Easter egg hunt ( included a hidden chocolate bunny ... actually mine was a racoon hehe it was so cute!)   Mom pickled some eggs that were HEAVENLY!!!!! I LOVE picked eggs!

Easter is in two days!! Yay ! We are going to go to Ozark for church and afterward we will have chinese and an Easter egg hunt! Yay  ..... My dad gives the best Easter egg hunt... there is always something different about it every year hehe! Gracie ( our bunny ) is the best Easter decoration that we have in the house! hehe.  Well I will go for now!   HAPPY EASTER!!!!!!

Well It's Friday! Thursday was my birthday and we played outside most of the day and grilled some hotdogs and steak and also ate MMmmm   Mmm  Turtle Pie! YUMMY it was soooo good!

Today Mom, me,douglas, and Micheal , cleaned up the sticks and leaves in my Piano teachers yard ... It was kinda hard for Micheal because the day before he fell and sprained his wrist. Ouch!  

We are expecting some thunderstorms tonight. Yay I like thunderstorms!

Happy Spring! Wednesday was the first day!   We have all been sick this week with bad colds... Yuk... I am still sick. We will not be able to make the pratice races tomorrow because of it... It has been a really nice day today . This morning mom took us to Sams to get me and Micheal some new tennis shoes.... They did not have any Miacheal's size ,but they did have some for me! They are really nice and comfortable. Then we went to the Shoe Carnival for Micheal's shoes , and he found some nice ones too!  Then........ we went to Mardels and I found Micheal A  $1.00 shirt and I found me a 50% off Hymn arrangement piano music book.....YAY!!  After that we came home and played outside for a little bit and then dad took us to hobby lobby.. Whew what a fun day!!!

     Finny is doing better ( I am so glad )  he is moving around quite a bit now and he dosn't seem to have any more ICK spots on him. ( Yay ) .  I hope that he will start eating again soon. 

     CBC start their first national tournament game tomorrow , I hope they do good! I will probably be listening to them play on the radio.

Today we have been working on how to make our Bettas better.   They seem to have ICK. My poor fish ( Finny ) looks really sick and moms fish ( Leonardo De' 'Fishy' ) and Douglas's fish ( Rainbow) have little spots of ICK on them too! I sure hope they get better.

Today I worked on making my Blog look Springy It will officially be spring in 21 days and I want to be ready for it !  I think It looks really nice and fresh.  

     Early this morning we got some really strong storm and we had to go to the basement when the Tornado siren went off around 4:30 . We didn't have any tornados but we did get alot of rain and wind and hail. 

Well I will go for now ,  I am going to be working on my Quilt blocks here in a little bit.

Spring is almost here YAY!!! It has been really nice outside the last couple of weeks. I love spring! Last Saturday we went to the CBC game and ...... they won yayay .... they won the Regional tournament, so now they are going to the National tournament. We will not be able to see them this time , but we will be listening on the radio! Monday I babysat Ade' and Danielle, we played outside, ate dinner and watched " Dora the explorer" , " Dragon Tails" and " Little house on the prairie" , then they fell asleep. I have just finished school for today and it wasn't too hard.......

In Algebra I did Overall average and multipling and diving fractions with inequal denominators...... In Biology I am studying for a test tomorrow, I have to learn the parts of a cell and their uses.......History was about Ancient Greece..... I did a review paper in language ( my blog counts for Language too)..... and for a foreign language  I am learning Sign Language.

   It is a nice day outside and I hope we can go out later. We are supposed to get some thunderstorms tonight ( I love Thunderstorms!) 

This week we have had most of our trees cut down because of the damage to them from the ice storm ... I looks so weird without the trees! It was sad to see them cut down.

Today Is Saturday! I have had a really busy week...... Last wednesday We cleaned the schoolroom ( a big job!) ...... Friday after my piano lesson we painted the schoolroom a light yellow to make it look warmer down there......Saturday we cleaned and painted the living room and then later went to a CBC basketball game ,...... Sunday after listening to a sermon written by Charles Spurgon we went shopping ......Monday It was really nice outside so me and the boys went out to play.....Thursday it was windy out so we stayed inside and did school and watched a movie.... Friday I had a piano lesson and we laid in moms bed listened to the 2 game of the CBC basketball tournament, they won so that means they are going to be able to play again tonight and we will get to watch them!!! YAYAYAy !!!!!!   Go Spartans!!!!!

Today we are going to go to a CBC basketball game! We met some of the players during Micheal and douglas's basketball games at church when they came and introduced themselves, and handed out free tickets to go see some of their games. We liked it so much we are going to go again this year! Today they are playing against Dallas Christian I believe. They are a really good team! I can't wait to see the game tonight!

      Race season is about to start too.

My favorite driver is Matt Kenseth # 17 in Nascar. My dad's work sponsors # 17 ! I also love to go to our local track every saturday and watch the Late Models, Modifieds, Bombers, Factory stock, Sprints, Legends, and Super stock. Since my dad is a chaplain at the race track he can go down to the pits and take someone with him . Last year he took me with him whenever he went to the pits. It is really neat down there!! I got to meet a bunch of drivers and  was able to " watch and Learn" some things , like how they weigh the cars and the different parts of the cars and alot of other neat stuff. There is one track that we went to last year called " Lucas Oil Speed Way :  Diamond of  the dirt tracks. " that is so big, that me and dad had to ride a golf cart in the pits to get around!  Well I have to go now and finish breakfast!     Bye !                           ~ Marie~  

Today my penpal Susie visited! it was the first time I had ever seen her . We have been writing to each other for about 5 years I believe. She and her family are missionaries to Spain so I had never seen her before today.  What A surprise!! Maybe someday I can go to Spain and see where she lives . Wow What a Storm!!! What destruction!!!  I was babysitting Friday Night and we were watching a movie with the girls when suddenly the electricity went out and because it was night time it was pitch black in our house. Right after our transformer blew there seemed to be a short  thunder and lightning storm after that which I later on realized was all the transformers around us blowing!  We went around searching for flashlights and candles for about 15 minutes and decided that until the girl's mom came back to get them we would cuddle up on our couches and read " Little house on the Prairie " by candlelight ( and Flashlight) it was kinda fun. After the Girls went home me and Micheal and douglas went into moms bedroom for the night after we shut all the doors and curtains to keep the remaining heat in .  All throught the night ( after the boys feel asleep) me and mom laid there and listened to the tree branches falling all around us because of the heavy ice that was laying on them. We have a really big tree just outside my moms bedroom and there were branches almost touching the windows! Every time a branch fell it sounded like thunder and shattering glass ( Because of the ice falling off the branches) .  At about midnight or so me and mom went down to our kitchen and ate some peanut butter crackers and looked out the windows to see what was happening . It was so dark out there and it looked like a war zone!  when we went back upstairs I listened as more branches fell and finally fell asleep around 4 o' clock in the morning. Then dad came home from work and he slept for a few hours before he told us that we were going to go stay with one of his friends from work who still had electricity . So we packed up, put the animals in the basement where it was warmer, and headed to Scott and Lucinda's house .  It was an interesting experience. While we were at Scott's house he too lost power but had ( thankfully ) already bought a generater just in case. We stayed there for 2 days until our power came on ( we were really blessed) .   We later learned that 75 ,000 people had lost their power and there are still some without two week later !!  Well I will go for now ,talk more later   BYE!!

Oh No!!! We are are expecting some ice and snow again! Me and mom went to the grocery store this morning just in case it gets too bad to where we cannot go out.  It is awfully dark and rainy right now !!!!!!!  I had a piano lesson today , and I worked on a few hymns .  I babysat again last night and i will be again today.........so even though it is dark and rainy I will not be bored! hehe !  Well I will go for now ! I Babysat Ade' and Danielle again yesterday. We had fun watching movies, and playing outside whith babydolls. I am going to be watching them tonight and tomorrow night also. Their mom and dad are payin me $25 dollars a week!! Wow! that is the most money I have ever earned!!!

Tonight I am going to be Quilting with Nana so Douglas and Micheal are going to be watching the girls ( with mom's help) for a couple of hours ,while I am on the computer.

It's new years eve!!!! Only about 2 hours till 2007!!!!! Wow what a year 2006 was!!! Well Christmas is over and it is about time to be looking forward to Spring, and Valentines day is the next holiday! 

TodayI have been busy having FUN!!! I have played games like scrable and boggle with mom, I made dinner..... Homemade pizza, bread sticks, and chips and dip. and sat with mom and picked  out cute little things to put on my blog. Mom is so good at making our blogs look nice!!!  Well I have to go! Today I babysat Ade and Danielle......... I had a really good time and I think they did too. When they got here we went up to my room to see all of my porcelain dolls and our parakeet " Cowboy" .  After looking around a little Danielle asked " Oh, Can we see your bunny?" ..........so ..... we went back down the stairs to see "Grace" our litle dwarf bunny. They Loved her sooooooooooo much and grace liked them too for all the pets on the nose they were giving her. Then we colored and played playdough for a while. After that they were getting pretty tired so I set up a " Little house on the Prairie " Movie for them to watch and before long their dad showed up, ready to take them home.  They didn't want to leave , so I think they had a good time. 

Christmas was GREAT!!!! We had so much fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Aunt Barb and Uncle Jim sent me : Two word search puzzles, one Suduko puzzle book, a Josh Groban CD, Trouble ( the Game), A 3D Eiffel Tower Puzzle, and a Locket. I love it all!! Nana and Papa sent me a  $50 gift card that I went out and bought me some nice new clothes with! YAYAYAY!!!!! And my family got me a whole bunch of other really nice things too! I love them sooooooooooo Much!!!!
