Tuesday, August 5, 2008 - My Dad

This next entry I want to dedicate to my wonderful Dad. When someone asks what my Dad is like I say "He's a hard working man and he's soo much fun to hang around".  I am putting some pictures of my Dad. This is my Dad. He never smiles, he just has a silly face and its funny because I do it too.

Here's my Daddy and I  (Don't we look soo much alike?)

Come summer my dad works a lot of second jobs. He loves to do carpentry. Here's my dad working on our chimney. 

He is happy because we have finally got rid of the fuel oil and we are putting in a coal burner. We have propane upstairs and now a coal burner to heat the house and a propane heat for a back up. So he has been hard at work doing this. 

My Dad likes to go motorcycling and I love to go with him a lot.  Once I begged my Dad to take me, he finally said that I had to fold laundry before we would go and I did so we went. I love my dad so much. He is the only man that I love with all my heart.   ~Country Rose~

Tuesday, August 5, 2008 - School

This is for CJ's mom.  She told me to do a blog on my schooling so here it goes. Today was my first day of school, yes its early for some and late for others. I am doing a mixture this year, instead of Weaver. I am in 9th grade this year and we have to grade me with tests. So for Math I am doing Math-U-See and today I did dividing a decimal by a decimal. Then for bible I am doing LifePacs.   In Language Arts I am doing Learning Language Arts Through Literature. History I am also doing LifePac and for Science I am doing Switch-on-School House. This year I also get to do a Foreign Language so I am doing Spanish which is also LifePac. I have always wanted to do Spanish ever since I can remember, so I finally get to do it. I am also doing an art class with my mom, Littlebro13 and Littlesis8. I am not the person who likes to draw but this is going OK. Then sometime in September I will be doing a photograhy course, which I can not wait to do. I just bought a camera off line and I love it. Its a Canon Powershot A340. So this year I was soo ready to start school. I have got all my camps done and am glad to be home and doing school. Well CJ's mom, there you go!!  Have a great day.   Country Rose

Thursday, June 12, 2008 - Catching up

What a busy couple of months!!! In March I was picked to be in the High School Play, which was completely amazing. I had sooo much fun. I was a villager for the play. I had a couple of lines which was a great experience. So with going to the High school everyday for 2 months was very long and was completly tiring.  I was there from 3 until 5 and then it went on to weekends also and then it was 4-9. So when I came home I was too tired to do anything. The production was on Memorial Day weekend. We had soo much fun, though when it came time to leave everyone was very sad. Mom made me a scrapbook to remember how much fun and how much work was put into the production.

I finished school on June 2nd. I am soo excited to start the next year. I will be in 9th grade. I also can't wait because I can do all the cool stuff that mom had purchased for the new school year.

Now since summer is here I will be able to have a some more free time. Though the end of the month my friend CJ and I are going to my high tech grama's and stay for a couple of weeks. We are both very excited.

A couple of days ago we got a call from my Uncle in Nutty Easte and told us that Titi is having a girl and she will be born in October. bcuz8 doesn't get his baby brother like he wished for. I am soo sorry bcuz8, I was hoping for a boy. We can't wait for that new little baby to come into the world.

I hope everyone is having a great day and having a nice time spending it with family or friends. Tomorrow mom and Littlesis8 and I are going yard sale-ing, I can't wait. Then at 4pm my friend Marshmellow is having her 15th birthday party. So tomorrow shall be a busy day.

Thursday, March 6, 2008 - The Upcoming School Year

  With 2007/2008 school year ending in a couple of months, we have been thinking of the new year arriving. Next year I will be going into 9th grade and need to start keeping grades for credits. We started homeschooling in 2004/2005, we started with a charter school. We found out we weren't to crazy about it. So when the school year 2005/2006 came we started Weaver and have been doing Weaver ever since. Though next year we are looking for something easier to do for grade keeping. We have been looking at a charter school again, but we have also been looking at LifePac. We have been keeping next year in prayer. I, myself like the idea of LifePac but we're not sure what is going to happen. We have been looking at a photography 18 weeks session for next year for credits. So I hope everything works out. Please Keep us in prayer with our decisions.

Saturday, February 23, 2008 - Coming Home

  My Grandma and Grandpa are coming home from Florida. They have been gone since December and we all miss them. They will be staying here for a week or so and then taking Littlebro12 with them. Littlebro12 can't wait to go with them.

  While they were in Florida they went to Disney World. They had my Aunt come down to visit them and they took her to Disney world. Grama took pics of Grampa kissing Minnie Mouse's nose, and Gramapa walking with a southern bell(holding her hand). Grama said that the lady asked Gramapa to hold her hand like he was going to propose to her. She sent these pics. to mom and she showed them to us. We got a kick out of Littlesis8 because she got all mad at him for holding another lady's hand. So she had me dial their number and she wanted to talk to Gramapa. She started to yell at Gramapa and told him that he was grounded from Playstation2. He started to make crying noises. So he said ok. Then the next day he called (it was Valentine's day) and said can I be ungrounded from the PS2. She said NO!! Mom wanted Littlesis8 to ask Grampa if he would be her sweetheart. She said no she would be to embarassed. So I got on the phone and asked him and he said he would. Then that made Littlesis8 want to ask him. He said no I can't be your sweetheart that he was mine and that he can be her honey. So Littlesis8 was happy.

  We all can't wait for them to come home today and see us. We are all happy they are going to be with us for a week.

Great News

I got an e-mail from gcuz11 and she said that titi is pregnant. This is going to be their 5th but they are hoping for twins. Bcuz8 wants twin boys so that the boys can catch up with the girls. So I hope he gets his wish.

School

School has been going good. In my math I'm doing math-u-see and I am going to finish the book that I'm on now called Epsilon and going to Zeta hopefully the end of next week. Language Arts is going good. In Weaver we are just finshing up the Plagues of Egypt and moving onto Holidays and Celebrations.

Friday, February 1, 2008 - Christmas!!!!

  Last weekend we had Christmas down at Nutty Easte. It was a blast. We got down there about 7:30 gave hugs to cuz's(aunt and uncle weren't there yet) and then gcuz11 helped me carry in my bags. When TitiE (thats what we call our aunt) came home we help her bring in her groceries. Than our UncleD came home and we gave hugs to him. Then we were all sitting down in the living room and were all talking. When UncleD said lets have a vote on who wants to have Christmas now or tomorrow. Of course all the kids said now which equlls 7 in all and UncleD wanted to have Christmas than to. So we had 8 in all. So we out ruled the other adults. So we had Christmas on January 25,2008 at 12:00. UncleD said we had to have it a month late and not a month and a day late. So we had Christmas right than. For the past 2 or 3 years we have been making homemade gifts for each other so here's what we made each other.

   We always start with the youngest first. Which was gcuz2 and gcuz3(they teamed up together to make a gift) So they went with TitiE and got their gift for............................my mom and their TitiK. They made mom a chalk board cork board. (Heres a pic with them and mom and the gift) Great Job gcuz2 and gcuz3!!

  Then it was Littlesis8's turn. I went down to help her because the gift was a large one. So I carried it up the steps and Littlesis8 presanted it to.........TitiE!! Littlesis8 with the help of dad made her a wreath out of vines found in the woods behind our house. (Heres a pic with of the wreath and TitiE) Great job Littlesis8!!

   Then it was bcuz8's turn. He made a gift for...........Littlesis8! He made her a purple crib with a yellow blanket (i don't think he made her the blanket or and both my favorite colors) She really likes it. (Heres a pic of the crib and Littlesis8) Great Job bcuz8!!

 Next was gcuz11's turn she had.......Littlebro12! She made him a really neat gift. (Heres a pic of it) I'm not really sure how to desribe it besides it looks like spilt hot cocoa and a cup. See for yourself. Great Job gcuz11!!

 Up next was Littlebro12 the funny thing was he had.....gcuz11, it was funny to see that they both got each others name. He made a her a jean purse. (Heres a pic oh don't mind the face she likes to make funny faces at the camrea just like her dad, my dad and me) Great Job Littlebro12!!!

 It was finally my turn. I went downstairs and got the gifts. I had.......gcuz2 and gcuz3. I made them both blue jean purses with their names on them. (Heres a pic)

 TitiE was next she had.....me!! She did an awsome job on the scarf. I wear it everywhere I go. (Here's a pic of me and my awsome scarf) Beautiful Job TitiE!!

 Next was mom's turn. She had.....bcuz8. She made him a neat gift also. I don't know how to desribe it besides Touchdown. (Heres a pic) Great Job mom!!!

 Next was dads turn. He had......(dadadadadada)....UncleD. He made him a spud gun. UncleD really liked it. (Heres a pic) Great Job Dad!!

As you can see that UncleD just couldn't wait.

 Finally it was UncleD's turn. He had......Dad....they had each other which was funny. UncleD made dad a knife. He did an awsome job with it.(Heres a pic) Great JOb UncleD!!!

So we had a great weekend. Than on Saturday night we had a Karaoke night. That was a blast.

Monday, January 14, 2008 - This week

  This week isn't a really busy week. Today and tommorow there is nothing planned. Wednesday we have Missionettes and Royal Rangers. Thursday nothing. Then Friday will be one of the busiest days. Friday is Littlesis7's 8th Birthday. She is going to have a friend spend the night. We have homeschool group. For Homeschool group we are going to have a talent show. I'm am going to tell them what I want to be when I grow up and I am going to sing "Who am I" By Casting Crowns. So I can't wait for that. Saturday we have Youth Group and I might have my friend Marshmellow spend the night. 

Last week was a busy week. Saturday I want to my friend CJ's 16th Birthday which is today and I had a blast. We got nails and facials done and we had a fashion design contest, and a talent show. I did a skit with my friend Marshmellow, We did a human video to the song "Mirror Mirror" By Barlow Girl. I had a blast. They also gave oscars. I got an oscar for the most dramatic person. I had a great time.

Today I want to send a special birthday wish to gcuz2 and CJ. Today is their bithdays. Soooo

Thursday, January 3, 2008 - What's been Happening

  We have been busy ever since Christmas ended. For New Years Eve we went to a friends house and played a couple of games. One was called "Battle of the Sexes" which was not to thrilling. Then we played "Swap" which I had fun with. Thats what New Years Eve was like. Then New Years day we took Christmas decorations down.  Christmas and New Years was great.

   There is so much snow here its unreal. Its also way to cold to play in the snow. Yesterday when dad and I went into town, he had band practice and Marshmellow and I went through drama skits, it was only 9 degrees. BRRRRR. I am sooooooo cold.

  Last week for Church I sang with the Youth Leaders for Worship. That was a lot of fun. I hope to do it again sometime soon. Then January 13 Marshmellow and I are going to do a skit for the church. We love to do this kind of stuff when we get a chance.

  Well now I will tell you about my fam. Littlesis7 is playing babies. She can get so funny with this. Right now she is playing the Little House. She say Nellie Olson wants to marry Charles Ingalls. So Charles must not be married to Caroline. So I am all confused. Its just funny to watch her. Littlebro12 has been making new creations out of legos. Mom and Dad have been pretty busy around the house.

 School is going great. I just did an assessment in Langauage arts. I had a test yesterday in math. We have now started the 12 plagues. So we started with learing about snakes. EWWWWWW.  Today the snakes I studied was the Sand Boa , Rough Green Snake and the Emeraled Tree Boa. So that is what we have been doing in school.

Last week our dishwasher broke down so now we are washing by hand. Littlebro12 and Littlesis7 don't really want to wash by hand but its not bothering me much.

Tuesday, December 25, 2007 - Merry Christmas

Hey everyone!  I hope you are having a great day so far. I am. How was Christmas for all you guys? It was really nice here. Littlebro12 woke me up at 6:30 and I told him to let me sleep for a least 15 more mins. He only let me sleep maybe 10 mins. Then we came up stairs and 5 till 7 we got mom and dad up. They got their coffee and then we opened presents. I got alot of nice things.  I can't wait to use them all. Later on around noon my great-grandparents are coming for Christmas dinner. Then we will go to my aunts on my dad's side of the family. They have a huge family, he has 7 sisters and 3 brothers. So after my grandma died a few years ago my aunt took it over at her place. So what are you guys going to do any traditons? Well, I hope you have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. God Bless. CR

Wednesday, December 19, 2007 - The month of December is a busy one!!!!

  December is a busy month for us. We have Christmas Parties to go to and Christmas Play practices to attend. Gifts to buy, cards to send, and much more. Yesterday mom and I went to a Christmas Party at the Church. Its for the Women's Minstrey and my friend Marshmellow and I were going to sing for it. Marshmellow sang a song called "Merry Christmas and many more" by Relient K and I sang "The Christmas Shoes" By Newsong. We had dinner and played a game. When they were giving gifts out Marshmellow and I went to the Sunday School room and did a word seach and talked. Then we left.

  Friday I have a homeschool party to go to. I also have a Youth Group party to go to. For Youth Group I am doing a devotion for it. I am going to talk about Family and what to build your foundation on. I can't wait till Friday because I love Youth and Homeschool Groups.

  Saturday I have to go to the church and practice for the Christmas play at the Church that is on Sunday. I get to be an angel and sing a solo. Then maybe later on I might be going to my youth leaders house to make cookies with her. Then at 4 I have to go to a different Youth Group and have play practice there and have a Christmas Party. I like this youth group too. My Aunt and Uncle do this one. They weren't going to do it this year but I really am thankful they did. I have a lot of fun.

  Sunday will also be another busy day because I have the play at Church in the morning. Then in the evening I have another Christmas play to be in. This is the one my aunt and uncle do. So This is another busy day.

Wednesday, December 5, 2007 - Bowling/Getting ready for Christmas

   Today we had bowling, it was a whole lot of fun. I got a 71 and a 74. There's two boys who are really quiet and all, so at first it was really hard to talk to them. Today it was like they were two different kids they were talking and having a lot of fun. The oldest one was really funny he was changing his name all the time. When I got there his name was Bob then it was Rudloph and Gunther and sooo many other ones. His brother was called Wonder Boy. We all had different names. Then the people that owns the place had disco lights and the lights were off. So we had fun bowling in the dark. Then they gave us pizza for a Christmas present. We had a Blast.

Littlebro12 went hunting so he didn't get to go and have a lot of fun. Instead he went hunting with dad. They just got back and they didn't get anything.

I can't beleve Christmas is just 19 days away; thats like way to fast. We got our Christmas tree up Monday and we finished getting things up today. We are now ready for Christmas. I hope you guys are. Do any of you have any family traditions? We usually go to the dollar tree and buy each other stuff. Its a whole lot of fun.

Tuesday, November 27, 2007 - Hunting

  Yesterday was Littlebro12's first time hunting. He had a lot of fun. They got up at 4:30 to go to my Dad's Nephew's and they were gone all day. They got back around 6:00 and Littlebro12 was bushed.  Marshmallow spent the night and when Littlebro12 came home we asked if he wanted to play a game with us. He wanted to at first and then he really didn't want to. When we went to go look for him we found him on the couch sleeping. The funny this is that he says he never sleeps during the day. When we found him mom went and took a picture of him sleeping. 

  Today  when they left  I was  still up and saw  them leave. They came back around 11:00 and dad said to grab the camera and Littlebro12 and dad both got a  deer. They are both doe. This is Littlebro12's first deer, he was all happy. Dad got a little deer it had little spikes on it. So now they are at home cleaning them up.

Thursday, November 22, 2007 - Happy Thanksgiving/this weekend

      I hope you all have a great Thanksgiving. We had a great time, we had my mom's parents here. My mom's parents live in their RV so we can't have it there. My dad's mom past away so we can't have it there either. So we had it here. We had a lot of food I am soo stuffed I don't think I could eat another bit. My mom made apple pie and my grandma made pretty much everything else. I hope you had a great time and eat alot of food.

   Tommorow morning around 3:30am  my mom and Grandma are going black friday shopping. So they are getting up early and will be gone for a while for Christmas shopping. My friend Marshmallow is going black friday shopping at Fashion Bug. So we she is going to get up a 7am because she is not a early morning person. So I am staying home and doing school.

  Then Saturday our family from Nutty Estate is coming. We are going to have Christmas with my Grandma and Grandpa because they go south for the winter so we have Christmas early with them. Well I hope you all have a great Thanksgiving. Country Rose

Tuesday, November 20, 2007 - The Weekend with my Mom!!

   Last Friday mom and I went on a retreat. We had a great time. The lodge we were staying in was 3 hours away. So we got to the town it was in and went to get something to eat. It was about 4oclock and after we ate we got on the road again and got lost. We were lost for 2 hours. I was talking to grama when all this was happing. So we were trying to get back on track. So we stopped and asked two different people to help us. So they told us were to go and we were back on track. We got to the lodge at 6oclock. Checked in and went to the people who invited us to come and told them we were there. So we got into the elevator and went to the third floor and found our room number. (2053) I really liked our number.  When we got to our room we got settled and the room was really nice. Then we went to our first meeting with the people.

   The second day we were there we ate breakfast and then went to the second meeting. Then the teens got to go make stuff out of beads and the moms attended another meeting. After that we got to go on a tour. It was quite fascinating. After the tour we went to our rooms for an hour and rested. After that we went out to eat with our group and had an 8-course meal. We were stuffed. While we were there, there was a man who made it for the Guinness Book of World Records. And I got his autograph. It was really cool because he rode 74 roller coasters in 24 hours. Then we went back to our room and went to bed.

Thursday, November 15, 2007 - Ground Zero

     Last Sunday the youth group went to a youth outing. It was really cool. The group was called Ground Zero. It was really cool they did a lot of drama. Which was up Marshmallow, Jbake and my ally. We had a lot of fun. The first thing was the leader told about the group. He said that the group was for 18-25 and when they become a Ground Zero there is no dating and you can’t have a job.He also said it was a college to attend.

 Then all the teenagers started pounding on garbage cans.  They were using garbage can lids as tambourines. Now when you think of them using garbage can lids and garbage cans you would think that they would not have rhythm. Well let me tell you, they had a awsome rhythm. They all had the same beat and everything. It was AWESOME!!!!!!!  Then they did a skit for us about five guys. It was hilarous.

Then they preformed another skit this was called “DO NOT TOUCH”. This skit was about three teenages who all touched the same chair. When they touched the chair their hands got stuck. Then a fourth person came and he was going to touch the chair and the other three people wouldn’t let him. When the fourth guy saw that their hands were stuck  he tried to help. He went to pull one of the guys off the chair, but that didn't work. Then he had another idea was for them to run in different directions, so they would come off. When that didn’t work he had another idea. He got out his Bible and when he showed them a verse  they came off one by one. Marshmallow and I really liked this one.

     The group did more skits they were all pretty good. They had two of the teens talk about their life.  Most of their lives were they got involved with drugs and other things.

After all of it was over Marshmallow, Jbake, Littlesis7 and I went and talked to one of the male actors. He came up to us and asked us what we thought we all said we really enjoyed it.  Then he asked about us. Then when he left we went to find another person to talk to and we ended up talking to the same guy for the rest of the night. Then we all left.

      Then Monday mom said that when I get old enough that I should join. So I think I might.

      This weekend mom and I are going away to a retreat and we will be gone for the weekend. I hope you all have a great weekend.
