Oct. 7, 2008 who said I need a title?
Alright.
Today we saw Beverly Hills Chihuahua. It wasn't that good. It was funny though. I've been saying this all day, "I PUT THE WOW IN CHOOOWW--WOW--WOW!!
We also went to the pumpkin patch today. Yes, I know, It's a 1st grader thing, but it's better than doing school. I painted my pumpkin, and tomorrow I'll carve the other side....
I'm 2 Chapters into Brisingr. I got it from the library. I can tell this is going to be a great book. But you know Christopher, he over extends it and adds aaaallll the deeeeeeeetail he can pooooosssibly fit in. Brisingr was supposed to be the last book, making it a trilogy. But now it's the 'Inheritance Cycle' since the 3rd one is so long, and he has to write a fourth.
Ummm.... I started Cross Country. I have a race this Saturday. It is only a mile, but pray that I do well! My last race I got first place for ages 10-14 female. My time was 10 minutes and something seconds; I forgot. I hope my time is better for this race. I doubt I'll do any better, since I haven't trained that much.
Well.... I think that's all I need to say.... WAIT! no. Squid, thanks so much for awarding me!! Now I have to award some people: (I don't even know how this awarding thing works but whateva)

Hi peeps.
I'm still writing my novel. I've kind of stopped for a while until I get my own laptop. I can't share a puter with 4 other people. Writing is important, but little bro and sis think that their Webkinz are.
I'm watching the Olympics right now. Seriously, how can you canoe for that long?
I love Michael Phelps. He's amazing. He's made me a whole lot more motivated to swim....
I ran a 3 mile race for Lukimia today. My time was 39 minutes and something seconds. I thought I would die 30 feet from the finish line. I didn't feel too good after the race was over, but you don't want to hear about that...
I won trophy for getting 2nd place in my age group for girls under 15. All it is is a block of wood with a bunny on the top... Go figure. At least I got one.
Ok. Youtube.com/fred season two starts like August 22 i think. Anyway...
Please be praying for my dear friend Squidward, as she's trying to publish her novel.
Then pray for a friend of hers.
Thanks. |

Aug. 10, 2008 WINNER OF CONTEST #2 IS......
|

Poetic Maiden has won The Weird Blog's Contest #2! Here is her amazing short story:
Shattered Night - by Cherise A.
Elian perched high in a tree above the falls, contemplating his struggle and the choice that lay before him. If only life were not so cruel, forcing him to choose between the maiden he loved, girl that he was betrothed to.
The stillness of the night was broken by a clear, pure voice: the last voice he wanted to hear at this moment.
Elian jumped, caught unawares, and fell from his hiding place. However, he reached for a nearby branch out of his elven instinct, and looped gracefully into a soft landing on the ground.
“Nihmiwaye!” he called into the woods. “You scared – you startled me!”
Nihmiwaye emerged from behind a tree, the clear moonlight shining on her pale nymph face. She looked directly into Elian’s eyes. Elian felt himself melting under her gaze.
“What is it you want?” he asked, turning his eyes away from her.
Nihmiwaye continued to stare at him, and he felt his face grow hot.
“There were two humans that passed through Aenywroe and entered into Raendolin,” she said. “A man and young woman.”
“Yes,” said Elian. “It is as you say.”
Nihmiwaye’s silence was unbearable to Elian, and he wished she would speak faster and stop staring at him.
“Elian,” she said. “Why is it you think ill of me?” Her voice was like the voice of a young girl, light and innocent, yet behind it there was a will that would not be moved.
Elian hadn’t noticed before that he was bent over under the weight of Nihmiwaye’s gaze, and he tried to straighten and face her.
“I…” He didn’t know how to respond. He was used to always being on top of a situation, and he hated this feeling of weakness.
Nihmiwaye came up and touched his face with her delicate hand. He flinched at her touch, icy cold upon his face, and she withdrew.
“Why can’t things be as they were before?” she asked him. “Why must we be separated? Why can’t you trust me?”
Elian longed to run to her and take her in his arms and tell her that he loved her, but he could not. “What is it you came to speak to me about?” he muttered quietly.
Nihmiwaye took a step back from him, and he could feel her pain and her hatred, even though he was not looking at her.
“The human girl,” she said, her voice hard as steel, “is under the protection of my queen. You are not allowed to do any harm to her.”
“Byerron is a dear friend of Anwyr,” said Elian. “My lord will not allow any harm to come to them. You have my word of honor.”
Nihmiwaye stood there, silent, and once more Elian wished with all his heart that she would speak. He knew that the errand from her queen was not the only reason she had come.
“Elian!” she cried, and the pain and heartache in her voice hit Elian like a mighty wave of the ocean, making him fall to the ground. His heart wrenched at tore at the sound, and he screamed her name. He leapt to his feet, determined to pursue her, to take back every word of unfaithfulness he had ever spoken to her.
She was gone.
Elian fell to his knees and wept.
Although MaidenCapitolBallot's story was wonderful, our winner is PoeticMaiden.

Hey peeps.
I have two submissions for Contest #2. I've never had more than that. C'mon people!
So anyway, these submissions are really good, and the two who submitted, MaidenCapitolBallot and PoeticMaiden, worded their stories really well.
Here are the stories:
MaidenCapitolBallot
Long ago, in the days of knights and kings and fair maidens there was a mountain. And on this mountain lived a king and his people. He was a wise king who ruled with kindness and fairness. However, he had his troubles, and they were the people of the valley.
The valley people were not cure, just foolish and carefree. They loved frolicking and partying more then work. The mountain people worked hard and were rather ashamed at the valley people’s lack of discipline.
However, for years and years things went on fine. The valley people cared nothing about the hard working mountain people and the mountain people were too busy working and living in comfort to bother about the valley people. But one day all that changed.
It happened the day one of the mountain boys went down the mountain; he was chasing a wayward sheep. He found the sheep in one of the valley’s meadow lands, he also found a girl about his age picking flowers.
“Hello,” He said, “My name is Rolf, what is yours?”
“I am Fenella,” The girl answered.
Rolf and Fenella started to talk and found they had much in common. They spoke of their homes and families, and as they spoke Rolf mentioned the treasure on the mountain.
“Treasure?” Fenella asked.
“Yes, we have it buried beneath a stone,” Rolf answered.
When Rolf left that day all Fenella could think about was the treasure he had talked off. What kind was it? Was it gold? Jewels? And the more Fenella thought of the treasure, the more she wanted it. And when she got to her home that night she told her father about it.
Unfortunately the mention of the gold had the same affect on her father as it had on her. It was all he could think about, night and day, day and night. And when he told the other village men, it was all they could think about. They finally decided to demanded it from the mountain people. And that is just what they did.
They were quite amazed when their messenger returned with the king’s message. It was a simple one, “We will share the secrets of our treasure with our neighbors.”
That was all the men needed. Mounting their horses, and with shouts of anger, they charged up the mountain. Fenella watched them go with a look of horror, for she realized they meant to kill everyone and she remembered Rolf and how kind he had been to her. She knew she had to warn the mountain people.
Mounting her own horse she rode up the mountain, riding hard and fast. She reached the mountain top, only to see the men ruthlessly killing everyone, men, women, and children. Fenella called and called for Rolf, but she could not find him. All she could do was watch in sorrow as the people were killed, knowing it was her fault.
When everyone was dead the men went to the stone and drawing it back beheld their treasure. At first they were angry, for all that was there was a piece of paper that read, “Peace on Earth.” Yet, the longer they looked at the message the clearer it became. They then turned and saw all the dead around them, and it struck them what they had done.
They lifted up a heart broken cry that reached into the valley below. A soldier on a horse sat watching them. Tears fell down his cheeks and he whispered, “Peace on earth, let this lesson not be forgotten, nothing is more important then friendship.”
And then he turned his horse and rode away.

The Song of Hadeline
I stood beneath the fresh blue sky,
I stood by with my true love.
I held her hands as she did cry,
And weep because the new love;
A love to leave this home behind,
And travel to a new shore-line.
With a breaking heart when ‘err I think to leave my Hadeline.
Side by side upon the wharf,
Amidst the crowd around us.
Of fathers, sons, brothers, henceforth,
Leave wives and daughters forever.
She bide farewell through tears so fine,
And prayed I shouldn’t meet malign.
With a breaking heart when ‘err I think to leave my Hadeline.
Calls did ring I had no choice,
My hands still clasped my true loves.
I told her with a an acing voice,
Our paths would yet entwine.
And as I left upon the ship,
One love, one jewel was left behind.
With a breaking heart that now I know I left my Hadeline.
And after weeks upon the sea,
I came upon the new land.
A fertile place a place to be,
Fresh was this meadowland.
I built a house whereto resign,
Was built with my love in mind.
With a breaking heart when ‘err I think of my sweet Hadeline.
A year and so I waited hence,
For Hadeline to follow,
But news soon came that brought suspense,
And nothing worse could I swallow.
I held the letter, read the line,
As tears fell and made me blind.
With a breaking heart that now I know I have no Hadeline.
Upon the sea she had sailed,
A storm wind soon had followed.
To save their life attempts had failed
The ship soon was swallowed.
A watery grave now she must die,
Without a proper place to lie.
With a breaking heart that now I know I have no Hadeline.
Upon a high meadow so fine,
I stood looking down to the sea.
Grey waves so cruel as to incline,
The end of my dearest plea.
But yet was more to my line,
I would not give to my resign.
With a breaking heart when ‘err I think of my sweet Hadeline.
So here we be kinsmen and me,
We wait the day to leave.
To move away from the sea,
To inland on the eve.
New homes refine was our design,
And a full new life I started mine.
With a breaking heart when ‘err I think of my sweet Hadeline.
The land we called by name it was,
Hanaskea was she.
For a land far away it was,
Away from the sea.
So now I live here through years time,
And all I need is Hadeline!
With a breaking heart when ‘err think of my sweet Hadeline.
CONGRATULATIONS!!!

Jun. 2, 2008 Poem Contest Deadline!
Hey Everybody!
Yesterday was the deadline for the poem contest. I have only two submissions, but that is still a good amount for the first time.
Note: Aragin is pronounced air-A-gin
Coinneach is pronounced ki-NEX
Ailinora is pronounced al-ee-NOR-a
Eternethia is pronounced et-er-neth-ee-A
Hanaskea is pronounced han-a-SKEA-a
By: VintageAuthoress
When Aragin the horrid descended the throne,
King Coinneach superseded, but not on his own,
For Ailinora his young wife, with him came,
That she was a good wife would soon be shown.
She was young and fair,
She had a girlish air,
But a queen of the country, she was destined to be.
And of it she was not unaware.
To help the king is what she set out to do,
And do it she could, she knew,
Though still a stranger to Eternethia,
Her love for it still grew.
Queen Ailinora was at her husbands side,
As wisely, he tried to guide,
Eternethia out of this terrible time,
And she, for her husband was full of pride.
Always she was there to comfort him,
When things looked very grim,
And it seemed as though they should never get out,
Their love they say, was full to the brim.
And when finally he succeeded,
In doing all that was needed,
To finally pull, the country out of the terrible time,
There she stood, next to the king, her dress skillfully beaded.
And when the king on his death bead lay,
And every body could see, that the Hanaskeans had indeed meant him to slay,
Still there at his side she was,
Until the dawn of the day.
And when it was clear that the king had indeed, in the morning, left this earth,
Still she stayed by his berth,
And sorrowfully said,
"I counted him my life more than worth!"

The Song of Hadeline
I stood beneath the fresh blue sky,
I stood by with my true love.
I held her hands as she did cry,
And weep because the new love;
A love to leave this home behind,
And travel to a new shore-line.
With a breaking heart when ‘err I think to leave my Hadeline.
Side by side upon the wharf,
Amidst the crowd around us.
Of fathers, sons, brothers, henceforth,
Leave wives and daughters forever.
She bide farewell through tears so fine,
And prayed I shouldn’t meet malign.
With a breaking heart when ‘err I think to leave my Hadeline.
Calls did ring I had no choice,
My hands still clasped my true loves.
I told her with a an acing voice,
Our paths would yet entwine.
And as I left upon the ship,
One love, one jewel was left behind.
With a breaking heart that now I know I left my Hadeline.
And after weeks upon the sea,
I came upon the new land.
A fertile place a place to be,
Fresh was this meadowland.
I built a house whereto resign,
Was built with my love in mind.
With a breaking heart when ‘err I think of my sweet Hadeline.
A year and so I waited hence,
For Hadeline to follow,
But news soon came that brought suspense,
And nothing worse could I swallow.
I held the letter, read the line,
As tears fell and made me blind.
With a breaking heart that now I know I have no Hadeline.
Upon the sea she had sailed,
A storm wind soon had followed.
To save their life attempts had failed
The ship soon was swallowed.
A watery grave now she must die,
Without a proper place to lie.
With a breaking heart that now I know I have no Hadeline.
Upon a high meadow so fine,
I stood looking down to the sea.
Grey waves so cruel as to incline,
The end of my dearest plea.
But yet was more to my line,
I would not give to my resign.
With a breaking heart when ‘err I think of my sweet Hadeline.
So here we be kinsmen and me,
We wait the day to leave.
To move away from the sea,
To inland on the eve.
New homes refine was our design,
And a full new life I started mine.
With a breaking heart when ‘err I think of my sweet Hadeline.
The land we called by name it was,
Hanaskea was she.
For a land far away it was,
Away from the sea.
So now I live here through years time,
And all I need is Hadeline!
With a breaking heart when ‘err think of my sweet Hadeline.
Great job to both who submitted!

Mar. 30, 2008 Hello again!
Alright! Whew. I just got back from camping at the 'Goat House.' We left Friday, let's see, I think that was the 28th. yeah, that's right. Today is the 30th. On the first night my mom texted my dad and said, 'how about you stay another night.' We were all for it. She got alot done! We were fishing like the whole time. 'We' is my dad, brother, sister, and me. I think I caught about 9 fish. I lost count. They were mostly brim and bass. Dude, my 5 year old sister caught about 4, (really good sized ones) which I think Is pretty good for her age. My bro caught about 8. I guess that doesn't really matter though. He caught the biggest one, a tad more than a foot long.
The enormous fish Henry caught!

Me and my brother Henry

all of our fish!!

Now this is the cool part; we got to clean them!! I got to cut off a head. I could go into detail, but you wouldn't want me doing that. My brother Henry was to afraid to TOUCH the fish. But my little sister helped! Then we ate them. Not the heads. The fish. Now I hate the taste of fish, but these weren't SO bad. Kinda tasted like the smell of lake water. bleh. whatever. My dog Casey got to come along. (there's a picture of her at the bottom of my blog) Boy, she was in hog heaven. She had a blast.
April fool's is coming up... Here's the stuff I'm gonna do:
· Put Vaseline on the doorknobs
· Put ciran wrap over the toilet seats
who knows what else! You never know when it comes to..... ME.
Last thing. If some really nice person who has soft drinks around alot, would give me the my coke rewards code, that would be great. I'd rather you not type them in as a comment, but send me a message on here. Thank you!
If someone would tell me how to post videos on my blog, that would be so helpful.

I don't have a name for this story, but I'm thinking of one. I wrote the second part of this story. Someone I know wrote the first part. Leave a comment and tell me if you like it or not.
Part 1:
Once long ago in a far away village arond India, the 'King of the Village' got word that something bad was to come. He had an aesthetic daughter, whom all of the people said she was a Peri.
It was late one evening when the daughter was called by her father, Rotan. "Ashaion, you must be acquiescent, you must go and hide for the evil one is coming closer and closer to this day. I could not risk the life of yours or the rest of the family. So I am sending you off toinight. YOu will ride one of the newest trained elephants, so no one will recognize it. I will send only one guard with you, the rest of the family will come one by one. I fear for the daughter. You must know that in my heart I love you and will always, whatever happens never forget that. Always keep your faith strong, even in the toughest times Take this; you must have it to take heir to the throne." He handed her the paper. "I know you are the strongest one of your siblings; that's why I am sending you first. If anything happens to your mother and me, take care of the family."
"But father!" she says as the guards pull her away.
It has been four years since i last saw my father. He and the rest of the family did not make it. I am the only living heir to the throne, and I can't stop this war. Not yet. I first must gather an army to fight the evil one. He has taken my place, my father's place, in the palace. I will not stop until retribution is made mine.
Before my father died, he sent me to live at our most trusted shroff's house. I helped him as much as I could. Finally I had to make my way back to the castle, but not without the help of an army. But the question is, how do I draw together and army? I pray to God asking for help with the problem I am facing. Finally I find the strength to build up the army. I assemble over two hundred thousand people to help me fight back and get my place at the throne.
Part 2:
I finally have my army together. Some include distant friends who have helped me during these hard times facing my father's death. I knew I couldn't do what my father wanted; for me to run away, to dissappear forever. I was going to stand up and fight for my place at the throne. Pretty soon the evil one, Durza, would take over. I had a plan. It had to end with war. It was risky, but It would work. I must kill Durza.
There was soon to be a ball at the castle open to all the village. I would show up, disguised, knowing that Durza would have a problem if he saw me there. The day before the ball, a close friend, Angelica, helped me get ready. I had already discussed my plan with her. She insisted on cutting my long beautiful hair. I let her, knowing it would make me look more different. I hoped I wouldn't regret it. For clothes she bought me a bright orange sari and expensive shoes and jewlry. I had everything I needed. That night, before Angelica left, she said,
"You be careful now. That castle is heavily armed with gaurds and knights. They might catch you! Ashaion, I'm scared!" I tried to smile.
"Don't worry. I too, am scared. But I am strong and I'll make it through this." That seemed to cheer her up a bit, so we said our last goodbies, and she left.
It was nighttime, and I was all dressed and ready. Earlier that morning I had a secret meeting with my army about what we were both to do. Before I left, I opened a small drawer and pulled out a jewled dagger. Stuffing it in a hidden pocket in my sari, I set off.
Once the castle came within sight, I noticed several gaurds lazily standing around talking. I slipped in the castle. I could hardly remember the last time I had stepped in here. The huge columns were like massive oak trees reaching for the sky. Forgetting my way around, I followed a group of ladies to the ballroom. In one corner some musicians were playing beautiful music using instruments such as the violin, flute, harp, and cello. In another, many people were crowded around a sword swallower and other stuntmen and women. I looked over and saw a table draping with all kinds of food like rice, vegetables, chicken, and fruit. I went ahead and had myself some tea while scanning the large room wondering where Durza was. At last I found him, standing with a group of wealthy looking people, laughing that evil laugh. I edged my way closer to him trying to listen in on their conversation. By then they had broken up. Once I was at a safe distance, I looked out pointlessly at all the couples dancing. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Durza walking over towards me. My face turned hot. Oh no, oh no. I thought. Does he recognize me? I stood where I was, panicking. He tapped me on the shoulder and cleared his throat. I turned around pretending I didn't see him.
"Oh! Hello! I'm sorry I didn't see you." I managed to say, trying to give a fake laugh. I was just glad that my disguise was working. He bowed, asking,
"May I have this dance?" This was very unexpected, but I knew it was my chance. I felt the dagger in my pocket.
"Why yes!" I said oddly, trying to sound polite. He took me out on the middle of the room, and we started to dance. I looked in those evil eyes thinking of what had happened these last four years. This was just the soft side of him. Soon everyone started looking and whispering about the stranger dancing with such an 'important' man. Soon they slowly started to look away. Durza started to talk.
"I happened to see you standing over there." Motioning with his head. "Really, you are quite beautiful."
"Thank you!" I said awkwardly. The man whom I hated my whole life was now complimenting me. I remembered what I had come here for. Slowly reached for the dagger. It seemed like minutes before I had It in my sweaty hand. I brought my hand to the back of his neck. I looked into his eyes.
"I am the true heir to the throne. You stole it from me."
" Excuse me?" He asked, confused. He looked deep into my eyes. "Ashaion?" He whispered growing mad. Before he could do anything else, I gripped the dagger tightly, closed my eyes, and slashed it through his neck. He gasped for breath falling on the floor. I sprinted towards the door, and darted outside, dissappearing in the forest. My army was already hiding outside, waiting for the gaurds and warriors to come out, waiting to fight.
I knew I shouldn't have ended it how I did. God probably hates me for it. Those few seconds standing there with him now haunts me to this day. I now sit in my rightful place in the throne. I, the true heir.
