Sep. 17, 2008 The unending stack of homework
omg...I don't know what I signed on for. There is so much home work! In speech and debate, I have to write a 2 minute speech and a five minute speech! ug! Whenever people ask me what classes I am taking, and I tell them I have classes all 4 periods...they look at me like I'm crazy...don't blame them..lol. I can't talk any more...lots of things to do!
P.S. Can you guys pray for my riding instructor? I was supposed to have a lesson today...but she emailed me and said that she couldn't teach do to "family issues" that had just come up. I don't know what they are...she said that she would call me later when she could talk about it. So she needs your prayers. Thanks. |

Sep. 10, 2008 school...ug!!
Well..dayspring went really good. TONS of homework...but that is 10th grade for you..lol. I REALLY love my Algebra II teacher!! He is so great! Speech and Debate is going to be the hardest...there is so much homework. Comp II is really good. Like the teacher. My Lit. class is good. We are starting out easy..reading the Chronicles of Narnia..then going onto The Hobbit. I have tried to read it 2 times now..never made it to the end..so ya. I got to get back to school.
P.S. I almost forgot to say that I am going to the barn today and unloading 652 bails of hay! Yeah me! lol. |

Sep. 7, 2008 Last Day of Freedom *sighs*
| So ya..starting school tomorrow. bummer. I am starting back WAY later than I usually do, thanks to Dayspring. I am kinda excited because it will be something new..new teachers..new friends...new everything. It will be fun, and very challenging. The thing that I think that will be the hardest is deadline. Things will need to be done on Monday....I can't persuade my mom to move the deadline (I'm sure none of you struggle with this..). If I don't have it done, i get a F. so ya...that will be good for me. I am going to have to get up at 6 every Monday too. In the past, I have had to start school at 8..which means I can get up at 7....it will be a shock for me since I have been sleeping in untill 9-9:30ish this summer!!! I will tell you how it goes! Wish me luck! |

Sep. 5, 2008 State fair and barn
Today is going to be really fun (I hope...) My mom is going to drop me off at the barn this morning..I am going to work and ride..then my friends are going to pick me up and we are going to go to the state fair! It should be loads of fun. I will tell you how it goes later...but right now, I need to take a shower and head off to the barn...(ya..I know it sounds funny to take a shower, and THEN go to the barn..but I really need a shower...so ya.)

| Hey everyone!! this week finally feels right..I went to the barn yesterday and had a blast...as always. We had to go get hay and throw it off of a loft and into her truck. It was scary because the loft is a good 20 or so feet from the truck...and the bails can weigh more than me..between 60-120 pounds...depending on the bail....so if your hand gets stuck...your over. luckily...my friend was there to catch my arm..very scary moment. We still have to load about 50 bails on Friday. Today I am not going to the barn because I have a piano lesson and an orthodontist appointment. :P |

| Hey everyone...sorry for my unactivness....if that is a word..lol. This summer has been really busy!! I have been at the barn about 5 days a week...but when school starts..I will have to cut back. For me, school starts the 8th. I am kinda in a way going to school this year..I am taking classes every monday and they tell you what you need to do the rest of the week. I am taking all my classes there except Chemistery (fun fun..). I got to go...catch up later. |

Jul. 23, 2008 Sore and Disappointed
Well...you can probably guess what happened...ya..I fell off again...at a show. I was jumping a course and I was riding Picard. He gets "happy" when jumping..well..I was doing a line and he got quick and jumped the second one HUGE! I was thinking he was going to get one more stride in...but oh well...He got into a bucking fit...and when Picard bucks...he bucks big. I stayed on for a while and then lost my stirrup..stayed on longer..lost my other stirrup...stayed on for less time...then fell. Makes me tired to read it..lol. well..Picard went bucking off while I got up..I am fine..but REALLY disappointed. I started to cry not because I was hurt..but because I was mad at myself. While (I really regret doing this) I was getting up...I slapped the ground..that is how mad I was...and I usually am fine about falling off...but for some reason I got really mad about this one. I think it was because I REALLY thought I was going to stay on. For any of you just reading my blog..you have to understand my situation. In the past 3 shows..I have fallen off 4 times. ya.. |

Jul. 19, 2008 Thanks and My Day
Just wanted to say thanks Mydogfoxy for the new template!! I love it! You can look and use any of her other ones by going to her website! Love it! Thanks so much.
Anyways..today was fun..I rode for about an hour and then mucked two runs (run: a place to let out horses)..only people who truly love horses would think it was fun..well...not really fun...but not really bad...if you know what I mean. My favorite horse got back from camp today. His name is Smash of Colors, barn name, Smash (barn name: a name used as a nickname at the barn, example Smash of Colors is his show name, Smash is the name all of us call him). He is an appaloosa! (appaloosa: a horse or pony with spots..there are more characteristics to the breed..but they are well known for their spots). He was so happy to see me...he neighed when he saw me..and then wouldn't stop neighing when I left...I don't mean to sound..well...i don't know...can't think of the word..lol....but you can ask anyone around the barn..and they will say that either Smash is my baby...or that I am is his 'girl'. My riding instructor says that if he is bad for anyone else, they will put me on him and see if he does it to me..if he doesn't..he is just being a brat, if he does..somthing is wrong. I love him to death...although we do have some..well..interesting stories together. I have only fallen off of him once in lessons...but at shows he gets really weird..and I have fallen off 3 or 4 times..that is his only downfall..otherwise..he is perfect..to me at least. I am going back to the barn again Monday..have a show Tuesday...and I will at least go down one or two more times..ya..my friend calls me a barn rat.

I put the horse jumps up yesterday when my riding instructor was gone. Things worked out WAY better than I thought they would!!!!! I wasn't planing on seeing her when she saw the surprise....but..God worked it out PERFECTLY!!!...as he always does. It ended up that my riding instructor could pick me up on the way to the back to the barn so I could take a lesson...I ended up being IN THE CAR with her as she pulled up in her driveway..( you can see the arena from the drive way) I was soooo glad that I didn't give it away in the car ride over..I was about to pee in my pants I was so excited..sorry..that was embarrassing to say..lol. When she pulled up in the driveway she saw them and started to cry. All the borders (there aren't that many..) were there and taking pictures. I could tell you everything that she did..but that would take up to much time. She was the first one to go over all the jumps. She was crying as she went over them I am pretty sure!!! I was second because I was planing on taking a lesson..and all the borders insisted that I was second. They are AWSOME! if I can say so myself...I am going back today..for the 4th time this week...lol..write more later!!

Grrrr....today I have to go to the dentist...to get my teeth cleaned. yuck..that stuff always tastes so nasty. oh well..I will have a nice sparkly teeth. *smiles* Later today, I am going to go to the pool with my friend. I might have to leave early because my dad and I are going to finish the horse jumps we have been building for a month or so. Oh..I guess I haven't told you about that..:D My dad and I are building jumps for my riding instructor. It is a surprise. They are REALLY nice. I can't wait to jump over them..hopefully BOTH me and the horse...not just me...Apollo..! We are going to set them up tomorrow!! She will be soooo happy! I can't wait! I gtg to the the dentist...:P |

| Sorry for the kinda lame entry name..I couldn't think of anything better. Last night I went with my youth group to a camp for mentaly handicapped kids. We helped with carnival night. I just maned the games. It was fun, but kinda weird at the same time. I don't mean to sound mean, but I was just not used to it. We are going back again, so I think I will be more prepared. Today..I don't think I have ANYTHING going on!!! YES! Everyday this summer, I have been doing something. I will catch up later. |

| *sighs* I am so busy! This is the first time I have had time to set still to write...sorry to everyone who reads this ( if anyone reads it! lol). Well..I am going horseback riding today!...big suprise. I am going to ride Picard for an hour, then jump on my friends pony and exersise him for about an hour. then my dad is going to come and pick me up. Today I can call the school and see how I did in drivers ed..if they have the test scores ready. I will tell everyone how I did...maybe..only if I did good...lol! I gtg. ttyl! |

Hello again! Well..today was the first day of a week long driver's ed course. 30 hours of class room work, then 6 hours of driving with the guy... !!!! today was long...it starts a 8 in the morning! It is a shock to get up at 7...it feels like school again. The class is ok...a little boring. We had 5 tests today!!! I passed all of them (thank goodness!!). I don't really like how he teaches..he gives you the test (without talking about what the test is going to be about!!) and you take it, give it to someone else ( so they can grade it), and he calls out the answers...and THEN he talks about what the test was about...it is kinda backwards. I better study for tomorrow. ttyl. |

| Hey everyone! I don't know about you, but I had a great weekend! I just got back from the movie theaters. We originally went to see Indiana Jones (the closest movie theater is about 45 min. away) and on the recording they said that they had a showing at 4:00...but when we got there, they were only playing it at 2 and 7. We explained our situation to the manager, and he gave us free tickets to any movie we wanted to see. Not knowing of any of the other movies, we randomly chose one that looked good. Still a little bummed, we got our popcorn and went into Get Smart. It was GREAT! I loved it! ( Caution: it is rated PG-13..and does have some language and...well...sences that are not so good..) All together, it was a really good movie. |

| Happy 4th of July!!! What is everyone doing? I am going to the towns fireworks and then my dad and my friends dad are going to set of some of our own. Pray we don't blow up something. Yesterday we TRYED to get in our boat. We had already put it in the water, got dinner, blown up the tube..etc. we tried to get it going faster and it wouldn't. It just stayed at the same speed. bummed, we looked at the engine. There was oil everywhere. So we pulled it back out and took it to the mechanic. He said that the very center of the engine had busted...that means that they are going to have to take out all the pieces of the engine, get the new part, and put it back together again. They said that it would take 24 hours of man labor and they don't have time to do it this summer. The part they need is really expensive to...I don't know if we are going to get it fixed or not.....I hope we do, but it will be really expensive...bummer. |

| Ya! I stayed on the horse today! I rode my friends pony, Barney. He is really cute. I was really sore...but what ever. I jumped and all that good stuff and he was awesome! ok..that was yesterday. Today I have a orthodontist appointment...darn. I am really mad at her because she said that it would only take a year, MAYBE a year and a half....guess what? I have had them on for a year and 8 months!!!! I am ready to pull them off my self!!!!! After that, I think that we are going to go out on our boat. I don' t think that we will do much tubing and water skiing, just a dinner cruise. 2 of my good friends are going and they are going to spend the night. well...that is about it. I'll drop in later! |

Jul. 2, 2008 Good times turned bad....
| lol...well..you know the 'great jumper' I was talking about? ya....I found out that he is also a great refuser. I was doing this jumping course and he is already a kinda green jumper ( green: inexperienced) and I was cantering into a one stride ( One stride: a set of jumps with only one canter stride in between) He jumped the first one really big, so I was already off balance...then for the second one...he refused and ran out on the right. My right leg came out of the stirrup...but my left didn't. so I toppled over his left side with my left leg still in the stirrup. I praise God that my left leg did come out of the stirrup even though I had already landed. I think I pulled a muscle in my upper thigh. I have to say that this was one of the more painful falls because when I landed..I thought for sure that my leg was broken. It was numb when I landed and then it started cramping really bad. To cheer me up, her beagle puppy, Daisy, came running up to me and licking me all over. I did get back up and ride again...I didn't jump anymore though. I am really sore this morning...but I am going to my lesson today. :D |
