Stud-Muffin Man Builds Working Telegraph!
Another fun week! Although we only had one hands-on project planned for this week, I'm happy to say we got it done! We built a working telegraph! Or I should say my husband did- does that still count? Alek watched? Oh well, my hubby enjoyed making it. He's quite the Stud-Muffin Man and can do just about anything. I think so at least. Don't burst my bubble, k?
He even labeled the two pieces of wood with ??? something by burning "telegraph" and "key" onto the wood.
Kenton's a perfectionist so when I need something done right, I hand the job over to him. I tend to want to rush through things to just "get it done" which doesn't always end in pleasant results.
Here he is testing out the new telegraph machine. It worked! And yep, the children all tested it out too & spelled their names in Morse code! Every time we walk by this thing we have to tap-tap on it. It's pretty cool!
