Friday Funnies

Posted in Friday Funnies
As I was chopping an onion while preparing dinner, I lightly closed my eyes as they began to water and said, "Whew!"

My two little helpers, Millie and Gabe, were watching intently.

Gabe noticed my discomfort and said, "What's wrong? Is it making your eyes water?"

And Millie answered, "No, it just spices her nose."

********************************

Millie, who is supposed to be picking up the room, reaches into the filing cabinet for another piece of paper to draw on. I tell her, "No more paper, Millie, you're supposed to be picking up."

Millie: "I wasn't getting paper, I was getting antelopes (envelopes)!"

********************************

After taking a few pictures of Josiah and his swollen neck, he said he wanted to see them. After scrolling through a few, I asked him, "See your poor neck?"

He answered with a yes, then paused and asked, "Is it green?"

********************************

Some mail I received today asked for a donation and as a thank you, included some free greeting cards. Knowing how much my children love to make and give people cards and even better, put them in antelopes (er, envelopes), I asked Millie if she would like to have them.

She said yes, took them from me, sat down on the kitchen floor and proceeded to look through each card.

She then proceeded to inform me, "Mom, we don't LIKE these kind of cards! They don't have MONEY in them!"

*sigh*

that's so funny about the envelopes and cards. my kids are the same way. just don't even bother sending a card unless there is some kind of prize hidden inside.

Your RSS is already on so I am guessing you want to know how to get a reader. Is that right? If so, you can go to bloglines or igoogle or my.yahoo or any others and sign up for a reader (aggregate). From there you begin to "subscribe" to the blogs you like. If you sign up for bloglines LMK as there are some things you can do to make it even easier like a notifier, a bookmark subscriber, etc. There is a weird glitch with hsb blogs at times with them too. You have to sub using the actual rss page versus the main url page. I hope this makes sense but if not...LMK and we can go from there. I LOVE your photography! I appreciate your tutorials you post too. I learn tons just by looking at your work...even if it isn't apparent in my photos...yet! *L*

Those were so cute! I was confused by the swollen neck until I scrolled down and realized I had missed an entry! Where have I been?

Aren't you glad your regular Ped was able to peak in! That is kind of unsettling that the first medicine was scratched out after he talked with her!

I also envy you - a cabinet large enough to store those bulky antelopes! ;)

I will pray for a quick recovery for Josiah! In Christ, Eva

You have recorded the most precious part of homeschooling, sharing these times with your children. You will treasure these forever! (My boys are grown now, and I love reminiscing about long days spent together talking and doing fun stuff!)

I love your Friday funnies, thank you for sharing them. If I were a more consistent blogger I'd do them, too. Hope Josiah is feeling better.

I needed a laugh today.
So funny how Josiah asked, "Is it green?" LOL--Yes, green is usually a bad thing...but so are gigantic glands. :)
