Friday Funnies
I haven't done one of these posts in a while! My memory isn't the greatest normally, but especially these days. If I can't remember exactly what was said or how it happened, I just don't post it!
********************************
My parents were over last night and my dad for some unknown reason decided to ask Josiah (3) what color his (my dad's) teeth were.
Josiah examines them closely and then very matter-of-factly says, "Green."
We all laughed and my dad must've decided that was his silly answer so he thought he'd try him again. "Josiah. What color are my teeth?"
Josiah gets this incredulous look on his face, wondering why he's being asked twice and states even more emphatically, "Green!"
My dad, getting a little paranoid, turns to Alek and asks, "Alek, what color are my teeth?"
Alek (11), being the honest, yet politically correct person he is says, "Well Papa, they do look like they are a little bit green."
I wouldn't be surprised if my dad was at the dentist today.
(and by the way, I don't think his teeth look green. Maybe it was something he'd eaten?!)

I just bought several new-to-me maternity tops on ebay and was wearing one for the first time today. My children, being much more observant than I, all made a comment about it at different times throughout the day- all but maybe Alek. Millie seemed the most interested. Anyway.
Kenton, my FIL and Gabe went out fishing for halibut on a charter boat today. We went to the marina and watched them pull the boat in and got to examine those crazy looking halibut. My MIL had invited us over for Chili Soup afterwards and we ended up staying pretty late. We didn't get home until midnight and the children have to be up early for homeschool co-op in the morning.
As I was helping Millie (5) get changed for bed, I asked her if she wanted to go to co-op or stay home with me (Kenton takes them every week and helps the pastor that does the PE classes), since I knew she was pretty tired.
She said, "I want to stay home with you because I want to see what kind of shirt you're going to wear tomorrow."
I think that's the first time that "excuse" has ever been used.
