*#&*($&(#(@) Computers!

Well. Kenton accidentally downloaded a virus on my computer yesterday as I was out being a nice mom, and compromising with a (much smaller) pool (which by the way, Nooshie has already chewed a hole in!) on our very hot 77 degree day (it's over 80 today!). So. I am writing this from the library. The virus was a vicious one and I will have to pay to have it fixed. I couldn't get it in with anyone until Monday, and he says he can fix it that day. So I may or may not have a computer on Monday. I can't access the internet, it's deleted my printer drivers, network connections, I can only open a few programs, my sound's not working, I get several pop up error messages & the final one shuts my computer down after counting down 60 seconds.  I can't copy & paste my files anywhere (including my external hard drive). I can't burn anything onto a CD. So depressing. I worked on my computer for 6 hours straight yesterday and couldn't fix it. My feet looked like balloons when I got up. *sigh*

And I may or may not have a baby by then too. Who knows. I had an appointment with my midwife today. NOTHING'S changed. Boo! Well, one good thing is that goes for my weight too! I don't think I've gained any in the past 2 weeks! I've gained 27 pounds so far. Which is GREAT for me.

So, fun update, huh? The computer thing has me stressed. I back up frequently but haven't in a few weeks

Aggghhhh; I feel your pain. Barring major catastrophes, job loss, etc, computer breakdowns have got to be one of the most frustrating experiences of normal, everyday life. !!!!! I live in constant dread... and yet I *still* don't back things up nearly as often as I should.

Like you needed this right now! On the other hand, it's keeping you busy so maybe you're not thinking so much about still being pregnant! Either way, I hope the computer problems get fixed soon and don't cause you much more grief. AND I hope you have this baby soon - and on a sunny day!

It was 88 degrees here today! Amazing! We have had 3 days this year that were what I would call "hot". It helps to carry me through the days that are still cool but, hopefully, we'll have more summer weather now.

Been thinking about you all week. I'll keep praying for everything to go well and God's grace upon you.

Oh - Happy Anniversary! I don't think I left a comment about that yet. 15 years - that's awesome! Your husband sounds like a jewel. It was fun reading about your lives back then.

Take care,
Kate

I'm now using Windows One Care which is what my computer guy recommended because of all the horrible viruses out there. It's 49 but can find it on sale at times for 19.
Norton just wasn't cutting the mustard.

You are one dedicated blogger...nine months pregnant, and you are at a library....wow!
I'm sorry to hear about your computer virus. That is totally a bummer. Backups...I never do that, ever. Maybe I should?
I think of you often wondering if that baby has come yet or not.

That stinks, Alyssa! I look forward to you rejoining us here in BloggyLand, and hopefully to baby news sooner rather than later.

Have a lovely week, and may you be one person lighter at this time next week! LOL!

love,
Shani

Wow that would teach me a good lesson in patience! I heard of a new virus out there that is supposedly the worst ever that comes to you like an e-card even from some of your contacts...it is titled postcard I think. They say to delete and shut down your computer immediately if you see that one. Hope you get it all fixed soon!

How are things now?? I had a friend visiting from TN the past couple days so I've not been on email hardly at all. Sorry to hear about the computer. Did you get it fixed?? I really hope so for your sake. What rotten timing with the baby nearly here and you not even being able to keep up with your email and blogging these last days of the pg. I'm sure you'll make up for it later, though. :)
Keep rested and can't wait to hear the puter's fixed and more on the baby's arrival(when that happens)

much love!

Update us when you can.

Praying for you!!
