The Hike

Hey ya'll! I went on a hike with my family and a few of our friends yesterday,and boy,was I tired! First,we went on a 1 1/2 mile hike to Yellowbranch Falls,which ,by the way, is taller than my house,(in other words,it's huge)!We had lunch ,at the waterfall,and decided to swim for a little bit,before we had to leave.Well, one of my sisters almost walked up on a copperhead snake(which, by the way, is venomous!!!),and ,to be safe, we kept our distance.We also walked up on a cute garter snake,and it was sooo cute!When we got back from the hike, we went into Stumphouse Tunnel ,WHICH REALLY COOLED US OFF!We also saw Isaqueena Falls as well.On the way home, we went and got some frosties from Wendy's!!Are'nt Moms the best!!!!What a day!                            ttfn,

SCHOOL'S OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey y'all! Newsflash! I AM OUT OF SCHOOL,AND SUMMER IS FINALLY HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Now I  can cook the meals whenever,come over to my friend's house ,whenever they ask ,and ask my friends over to my house NEARLY whenever I want! Now, what hsm2 song does that make you think of!?The,"What time is it" song is the one I think of(I think that's the right title,but I'm not sure.So tell me if I'm wrong).Yeah! NO MORE PRE-ALGEBRA,GEOGRAPHY,RHETORIC,LATIN,WRITING OR SCIENCE UNTIL 3 MONTHS FROM NOW!!!!!AP!!!!PS:  try to tell me how y'all are doing now that school is out, if your out of school already, in your comments.                TTFN,

2008 state championship triathalon

Hey y'all! I ran in the local tri last year and after all that excercise,I was pooped and whooped!Here are the things i had to do and the pix below.ENJOY!PS:If I had not lost 30 lbs by then,I wouldn't have made it.

dixie brownies(aka:a chocolate & pb lover's dream)

Hey ya'll! here is a recipe that I think is a chocolate and pb combination lover"s dream come true!My grandma(my mom's mom)gave me this recipe and she said that my cousins,who visit her often,ate about (hold your breath!)3 large slabs of it a pieceit was so good!!!!!I am also going to give it to a friend of mine for her b-day cause she LUVS chocolate and peanut butter !here is the recipe below.

Directions:In a saucepan,mix 2sticks of butter,1/2cup of cocoa powder,1cup of water,1/2cup buttermilk and 2 well-beaten eggs together over medium heat until bubbly.In a large bowl,mix 2cups sugar,2cups of all-purpose flour,1tsp of baking soda and 2tsp of vanilla extract.Add chocolate mixture to this and stir together.bake in a 9"x 13"pan at 350 degrees for 25 minutes.Let cool.Then, mix 1 cup of smuckers natural peanut butter and 1and a 1/2 tbsp of canola oil and spread over cooled cake.Next in a saucepan,heat 1 stick of butter,6 tbsp of buttermilk and 1/4 cup cocoa powder until bubbly over medium heat.Add 1 box(16oz.)powdered sugar and 1tsp vanilla.Spread over the filler on the brownies.

movies a grit would recomend

Hey ya'll! I was just wanting to tell ya about some movies I like . Last night, my family and I watched Space Buddies and it was good,clean and over-the-top hilarious!!!LOL and two thumbs up from me!!!!  I won't say any more so that I won't give the story away.I also love the movie Snow Buddies so it too, gets an LOL and a two thumbs up from me!!!!!I also reccomend all the High School Musical movies too!!!And since I love to cook nearly any dish under the sun,I also reccomend the movie rattatouille(ra-ta-too-ee)!!!Kung-fu Panda also gets a good review and I also recomend Prince Caspian and the Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe !!!I also recomend the Tale of Despereaux(des-pare- ow).I can't stay long cause i have to go to a street long yard sale today with some friends of ours if it ever stops if it ever stops raining!!!!!! 28:11 SPRING PICS

hey ya'll here are the puppy and calf pics you've been asking for! I hope ya'll enjoy the pictures and as of the amount of pups currently, she has had 11 healthy pups,who are all as cute as can be. Sadly,the smallest girl,named dark chocolate died because she was constipated and she just couldn't handel it.Sweet Pea had her calf on 5-7-09 and wonder of wonders,Pansy had her calf this morning!!The only one left to birth a calf is Petunia,the oldest of the calves.I don't have pics of Pansy's calf yet but I will post some pics of it later.Hope you enjoy the pics!                                                   TTFN,

springtime on the 28:11

Hey ya'll, The puppies got their tails docked and their dewclaws taken off on monday.It was kind of gruesome to watch,cause the vet would hold the puppy upsidedown , take the snippers and would shorten the length of it's tail.Poor puppy!As far as the dewclaws, she would just ,"get rid of them" if you know what I mean.While this was going on, we kept track of how many were boys or girls and the result:7 boys and 5 girls , who turned 1week old on tuesday.Today has been historic for us cause today we found out that one of our cows(sweetpea)had a calf that is as cute as can be.It is black like a Black Angus and a white face like a Hereford.We may wake up with another calf tommorow so I'll keep ya'll updated.                                                         TTFN,

a day of pure excitement

Hey ya'll! Guess what?! KOKO HAS FINALLY HAD PUPPIES,9 AS OF RIGHT NOW!!!!!!She went into labor a little after 8:00 this morning and from what I've seen, she looks egsausted fom having all those puppies.I know I would,wouldn't you? I will be sure to post some "puppy pics"for ya'll to see.They look soooo cute,cuddly and furry you just want to hug them all!!And where was I during all this?At a CC CHALLENGE A  meeting but it was the very last meeting for the year so it was a good thing.And for Rhetoric since I said all 57 chaticism questions by memory,I got a $5 gift card to Bruster's ice cream store and ten more dollars in cash!!!!I got butter pecan and it tasted sooooo good,mmmmm,L.I.G.!!!On top of that , my family and I are going to Daytona Beach, Florida for the first time since I was 4 and noah,my little brother, wasn't even born yet!!My dad has to go to a class from 8-6:00 each day so who knows what we'll do while dad's in class.I,for one, hope that we'll get to go shop some where so I can get a souvenier ! Get this, we also have to black angus heifers that could have calves any day now so they might have them while we're in Florida!!! Lets hope not, because my Grandma and Grandpa(my mom's parents)are going to watch the farm while we're gone and if the cows have babies,boy are they gonna have a story to tell ! I won't be blogging for a while cause I'll be in florida, but please comment while I'm gone cause I LUV HEARING WHAT YA'LL HAVE TO SAY.

Canine Momma to-be

Hey ya'll! GUESS WHAT!!??MY BOYKIN SPANIEL,KOKO IS GONNA HAVE PUPPIES IN ABOUT FIVE DAYS!!!!!She is 4 years old in dog years(28 in human years)and she is just a wonderful,calm and loving dog.She also loves running with mom and I , and she also just luvs attention as well as laying out on the couch and being lazy...lol!!!And, we can actually feel them moving!!!!!!!I'll keep you updated and I'll tell ya'll when she has them.PS:I'll tell ya'll all the details later  and i'll try to post some pics of them too.

hey ya'll! if you've been looking for a cake recipe that is just as simple as can be then you've found it! 1-2-3-4 cake is known by that name is because it uses 1 cup butter, 2 cups sugar,3 cups self-rising flour and 4 eggs.
