Time 4 Learning Update!
I have promised the folks at Time 4 Learning that I would check in with you once in a while to let you know how it's going as my kids use the program.
Now, to be honest, I have been getting my kids logged in and letting them have at it. I have looked at it a bit, but not as thoroughly as I will before I do my official review. However, I do know that the kids enjoy it and are having fun. I decided that my three youngest would be my "test kids." So that's Baber 5, Bear 7 and Dode Man 9. So far they all enjoy it and have a good time. I put them all at one level below their grade level, because I thought it might catch any "gaps." I have peeked over their shoulders and I have to say it looks fun! The other day my son was learning all about antonyms. (Boy, is that how you spell it? LOL My blog doesn't have a spell check!) Anyway, it's going well, and my kids are having fun. It keeps them "outta my hair" for a bit and I don't feel guilty!
The final review is due soon, and before then I'll check it out more thoroughly from a parent's perspective and give you my take.
Until then, be blessed!

I am in the process of using a website called Time4Learning.com so that I can write a review for the TOS Homeschool Crew. The good folks at Time4Learning have asked that we blog about their service as we go along, so that is what I shall do!
Time4Learning is a neat website for kids from preschool to eight hgrade that allows your child to do math and phonics right on the computer. All their work is tracked for you. Science and social studies are also included!
I can't say I have too much to blog about just yet. Right now I just have registerd five of my my kids for the service, although some of them won't really get the chance to use it much. I decided that for review purposes I am going to have Dode Man, 9, use it regularly. Rather than have all five kids try it a little here and a little there, I thought it would be a much more accurate review if I was consistant with having one of the kids use it and follow through.
The registration is really easy. You just provide the first and last name and a password. It's simple, because by using their real names, I just have to remember one easy password for each kid. Since each kid already has their "thing" it is easy to remember. You do have to wait for them to send a confirmation e-mail before you can actually use the service, but they had us up and running within 24 hours (I think it may have just been a few hours, but I can't remember!) I honestly don't remember all the details, but I don't remember any problems, so that's a good thing! LOL
Before your kids gets started, you answer a few questions about your child and what he/she knows so they can customize the program to fit your child. I haven't had a chance to look at it too much, but there is a TON of infomation on this site! My son has already spent quite a bit of time there. He must like it, because I just asked him about it and he said he wanted to go on it. (Sorry, little dude, it's my turn on the computer!) I've yet to really look it at myself to see how to track his progress. When I do, I will get back on here and let you know how it goes!
Until then, it's back to campaigning for my blog! Vote for Me!!! LOL :)
